5 million with secret clearances? Fuck that. The government shouldn't have so many secrets. And how many have kept their clearances since moving on to private activities and then monetizing the information?

Imagine the money that could be made as a private individual with such knowledge. (Chertof)

I'm still amazed his clearance wasn't immediately rescinded when he left office. The only reason I can think is that he is being prosecuted and needs the clearance to read the evidence against him.

Other than that, why does he need it. I would really like to hear him explain that. It would give us all insight into the deep state.

On the other hand, there is a need for people to know what was going on in order to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Of course, the good ones are free to speak out at any time, not only separating yourself from them to protect your future there, but also to get this part over with as quickly as possible.

Jerk the bandage off. There will be sharp pain but it will go away soon enough.

Operational secrecy is one thing. There can not be 5,000,000 analysts, spies, staff members, etc that need clearance.

Also, explain why, for instance, the JFK & 9/11 investigations needs to be secret.
