Anon's thoughts on Trump discontinuing the penny:
It's possible we could go back to constitutional money, and if so, what would habben with all the coins out in circulation?
Either make it worthless, or let it convert to silver.
First would make people mad, the other really happy.
Last time anon checked (at start of covid), there was something like $8B floating around in the wild.
Anon posted theory here, and then we had sudden coin shortage
With today's silver price, that would be around 25x$8B, or $200B worth of silver to let our current change convert to constitutional money.
Getting rid of the penny would make it even less expensive to make the conversion.
Might habben, might not, but anon won't be in a rush to get rid of pennies.
