Today, the NYT published a letter authored by 5 former Secretaries of the Treasury:

Tim Geithner, Janet Yellen, Lawrence(Larry) Summers, Jack Lew and Robert Rubin. They argue that Govt funding and Treasury payments should not be subject to questioning by any political group (Trump/DOGE). Read Larry Summer's statement here: https://x.com/LHSummers/status/1888923226585113038#m

🔥🔥🔥 Data Republican comes up with receipts which could indicate the motive for their opposition to DOGE/Trump:

(1) Larry Summers

- Met with Jeffrey Epstein several times after his release from jail

- Obtained a $110 K donation from Epstein for his wife's non-profit

(2) Robert Rubin

- Cofounded the Hamilton Project at the Brookings Institution.

- The Brookings Institution is a direct recipient of nearly a million dollars in federal awards as well as a recipient of many university grants.

- The Brookings Institute employed suspected Russian Spy and Russiagate Hoaxer Igor Danschenko

- Rubin is on the board of Local Initiatives Support Corporation which has over 140 million dollars worth of active awards to build low-income housing.

- While at Citigroup, he tried to forestall a downgrade of Enron by calling a Treasury Department official directly.

(3) Jack Lew

- Played a key role in designing AmeriCorps. Today, the program manages over $1 billion in active spending awards, yet AmeriCorps has failed an audit eight years in a row now.

- AmeriCorps famously funded now-defunct Obama linked ACORN, accused of Voter Fraud

(4) Janet Yellen

- Had significant discretion over USAID funds, including announcing $3.4B in assistance for Ukraine efforts.

- Janet sits on the board of several non-profits

(5) Tim Geithner

- Famously bailed out big banks and Wall Street during the 2008-2009 financial crisis

- Total monies during the bailout were ~$29 Trillion

- Member of the Council of Foreign Relations (2022) who received USAID monies and other grants

- Co-chair of the INTERNATIONAL RESCUE COMMITTEE INC, a foundation that receives $831 million in federal grants

- Blackrock's Larry Fink is also on the board of directors of IRC
