in his 3rd week you think he can hatch and age millions of chickens to lower the cost of egg production?
18-20 weeks from hatch to producing full sided eggs
gasoline needs to be drilled and refined before it can be used by us or put in our depleted reserves
how did you expect it to magically right itself in less than a month?
they would have to remove some of the livestock laws from our towns and cities for most to do that.
at least to get the egg numbers up
victory gardens are good for produce but the egg production could be helped in the same manner
winter time here our 14 chickens tend to lay 1-2 eggs total in a day (meaning we get 1-2 eggs a day from 14 chickens) in winter that is normal here (today we got none but it is -16F and early yet but I expect none when it is this cold)
it is too deep winter here still
we have a 3 month growing season and freeze every flippin' month (at least one night a month we dip into the 20's at night)

I know and am happy that I processed 18 dozen for winter (which will cover baking and breakfasts and everything else)
we got the one warning to duck and cover when west of Oregon got the bigger shake but felt nothing
we'll start picking up come april- it seems to start again when I get my meat chicks (not that one is the reason of the other only timing of the year)
