"Trump Tricked Them All"
This article is about how Trump has already accomplished an end-around the lawfare and they don't even know it yet. Damned if it didn't make me laugh aloud.
Worth your time to read the whole article, but here's a quick summary:
-
The lawfare swampers are so busy patting themselves on the back for temporarily obstructing Trump with their overreaching judges that they don't realize he's neither waiting for the courts nor defying them. He's already pivoted full speed in a new direction.
-
Meanwhile, Speaker Johnson tells the press that DOGE is uncovering things that we've known intuitively have been there, but that couldn't be proved. Now, the proof is being provided.
-
Then Johnson slams the lid on the coffin saying that Congress's forthcoming Budget Bills will incorporate DOGE's findings to cut waste now, and going forward. Budget Bills can be passed using a process called 'budget reconciliation,' which avoids the Senate filibuster and can be approved with a simple majority. AND NO JUDGE CAN TOUCH THEM.
-
So, the lawfare swampmonsters have been focusing on obstructing Trump/Elon but completely ignoring that judges can't touch Congressional Budget Bills. And Trump has known this all along. Basically, he's a distraction, and Elon's just the canary in the coal mine. They're the bait for the all the screaming attacks while Congress gets it done.

In the words of the author:
"Trump tricked them all. The same activist judges siding against him using Congress as an excuse, must now twist into legal pretzels somehow arguing that neither Congress nor the Executive hold the power of the purse, which is even less constitutionally plausible. In other words, Trump tricked the judges into committing to a Congressional-powers argument, which becomes moot when Congress does it. Checkmate."
