Is Dylan Hedtler-Gaudette Blind? All On His Condition Type-2 Usher Syndrome
Dylan Hedtler-Gaudette, Project On Government Oversight's director of government affairs has type-2 Usher syndrome, a degenerative illness that has caused him to become blind and visually handicapped. He may go completely blind in the future because he has lost a lot of his peripheral vision. Gaudette's problems began with a baseball when he was thirteen years old, before the visual world fell from his grasp.
"I used to do things in a way that would allow the least number of people to know I’m blind. I don’t care about … what it looks like when I’m out there with the cane," he said in a 2014 article by Portland Press Herald.
Details About Gaudette's Vision
Hedtler-Gaudette relies on a variety of devices to bridge the gap between the sighted and the blind since he lacks the ability to read braille.
