You are allowed to stand in the public square and protest.
Verbally is peacefully, unless you think words are violence.
Many times those who don't like what's being said claim it's disorderly/not peaceful as an excuse.
Yes, this is the public square, and no no permit is needed to protest according to the US constitution, and this lawless government operating outside it has no authority to say otherwise.
So many people will swear up and down they love liberty, they even think they do. They hate it with a passion though. What they want is what they call "order", a dictator that likes and dislikes all the same things as them. If they agree with it, everyone should be "free" to do it. If they don't agree, it should be illegal or require you to jump through hoops for their "permission". That's freedom in their minds.
Yes, it IS the public square.
The witnesses lie dead in the public square for ALL THE WORLD to see.
The world is watching.

I have not thrown a tantrum, I'm simply having a conversation. Do you always project and accuse those you talk to? You do know more than one person can have an opinion you disagree with and talk about it correct?
Cops have horrible attitude for Jeff Gray exercising a constitutionally protected activity and standing for his rights in a traditional public forum. They're going to trespass him then when told from higherup to leave him alone they leave without telling him if he's ok/free to go and refuse to answer him.
They have no clue of the actual law and think they're our masters, then when called out they tuck tail and run like cowards. The servants are out of control.
