You need Aqua Regia - it dissolves all metals except gold. Aqua Regia is a corrosive, fuming, acidic, and oxidative mixture of hydrochloric and nitric acids. The Latin phrase translates to "royal water". It's how the Royals checked all gold to spot fakes. It's nasty stuff though.
