>Only been here for a few days and trying to understand this place. Why are bakers so hated and unappreciated? Would this place exist without them?

There have been good and bad Bakers over the years.

At heart is the ability of a Baker to direct and control the narrative through selected deletions, bans, blocks, VPN rules etc.

My take as of right now is that adversarial forces are supplying the bakers most of the time. A good one will slip in now and then, but mostly, the enemy has the keyboard.

Thing is, they can't stop people from posting what they want. The principle power they have is deleting posts during the active thread or in "cleanup" when the thread is closed.

On balance, assume the baker/mods/BO are our enemies and we are the vandals spraying graffiti on their walls and there's not a Goddamn thing they can do about it.

>The ABA is one of the largest voluntary associations of lawyers in the world.

"Still prostrating themselves before their colonial masters. That would be the City of London and their banker (Roths) overlords.

" another group of people were also “shield-bearers” – the British aristocracy, who had been granted coats of arms that they could wear on an escutcheon (a fancy French heraldic word for “shield”). Men near the bottom rank of the British nobility, who had such arms but lacked a title such as “baronet” or “gentleman,” were called esquires."

So, the boot licking scum of society, the lawyers are still subservient, not to the people they should serve, but to the financial interests of the hereditary medieval ruling class. Acknowledge your serfdom, goy. You can do it…………if you're a millionaire:

Even Clint Eastwood had to fight sometimes.

>MSC Baltic III went ashore on the West Coast of Newfoundland after losing power.

Looks like the Captain did a great job of saving his ship. That's a small harbor, but a harbor nonetheless.
