The soul is not entirely confined to the body, just as God is not fully contained within the physical world. Our psyche extends beyond us, reaching into realms our bodies cannot fully grasp—where imagination brings the unseen into reality.

These “greater things” are part of divine creation. What is imagined by God takes form instantly, unlike the unconscious, which holds potential waiting to be realized. This connects to the alchemical belief that the soul holds power over the body—without it, transformation would be impossible.

“You can conceive of the greater things,” which means if you can imagine it, you can bring it into reality—with the right knowledge and divine permission. To the alchemists, imaginatio (imagination) was the key to unlocking the mysteries of transformation. In modern terms, it is the bridge between the unconscious and reality, manifesting what exists beyond the physical world.

This process unfolds in an in-between realm—neither purely mental nor purely physical. It exists in symbols, which are both real and unreal, rational and irrational. This path is not for everyone, but for those who are called to it.

Are you one of them?

Many Gnostic texts, particularly the Gospel of Mary and the Pistis Sophia, depict Mary Magdalene as a deeply enlightened figure with esoteric knowledge. In these writings, she is portrayed as Jesus’ closest disciple, someone who grasped profound spiritual truths that others did not.

If we consider alchemy not just as the transmutation of metals but as the transformation of the soul, then Mary Magdalene could indeed be seen as a master alchemist. The Gnostic tradition often describes enlightenment as a process of inner purification and self-realization—concepts that align with spiritual alchemy.

Could Mary have a master magician? If we view magic as the ability to work with divine forces and manifest spiritual realities, then it’s possible she had such knowledge. Some esoteric traditions suggest that Jesus and his inner circle, including Mary Magdalene, practiced mystical arts—healing, energy work, and sacred wisdom transmission.

Her role as a mystic is even more widely accepted. In Gnostic and other esoteric traditions, she is often seen as the embodiment of Sophia (divine wisdom) or even the Holy Grail—a symbol of deep spiritual knowledge and transformation. Is the Holy Grail a bloodline?
