Wow, that article implies that;

1. 2-digit dates are used in Social Security's computer systems.

2. DOGE's team is too stupid to notice this, and can't do math.

3. No one understands COBOL programming language any longer.

All 3 are total lies. Anyone who can read other programming languages can still look through COBOL code and understand it. This is true for most programming languages except for something like assembly or machine specific code. COBOL compliers were still being produced in the 1990s so it wasn't all that long ago.
