Hey, Memers, listen up! Regarding that recent research looking at how memes spread! The researchers said that they hope to build tools to help stop the spread of /our/ memes.

So I looked into how to defeat their algorithms.

It turns out that the algorithms for computing the similarity between memes do have some weaknesses. The bottom line is that IF YOU MIRROR a meme, ROTATE it 15 degrees or more, and/or CROP the meme (preferably a combination of the 3), then most of the meme-similarity algorithms don't recognize the meme. That means they can't block your meme!

Just thought you should know, so that when the day comes (like, it's basically already here) that FB, Goog, Titter start blocking our memes automatically, then you know how to fight back.
