Polish woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann is ARRESTED as she touches down in the UK
A Polish woman who claims she is Madeleine McCann has tonight been arrested moments after landing in Britain.
Police swooped on Julia Wandelt at Bristol Airport and held her on suspicion of stalking and harassing Madeleine's parents Kate and Gerry McCann.
The 23-year-old - who had just flown in from Wroclaw in Poland - had been due to meet a friend, who lives in Cardiff, when she was surrounded by officers in front of stunned passengers.
The friend - who is thought to be aged in her 60s - was also arrested and taken away.
Wandelt believes she is Madeleine and says she has recently taken a DNA test which has been examined by a specialist in America and linked her to Kate and Gerry.
Also known as Julia Wendell, she became an internet sensation in February 2023 when she posted to Instagram under the account name '@IAmMadeleineMcCann'.
She has appeared on U.S talk show 'Dr Phil' to discuss the far-fetched possibility that she is Madeleine, who vanished aged three after being snatched by an intruder who broke into her family's holiday villa in Praia de Luz in Portugal in 2007.
She this week took to her new social media account, '@AmIJuliaWandelt', to share the 'results' of a fresh DNA test that she said Kate and Gerry 'refused' to participate in.
We should forgive our enemies, but not before they are hanged.

Power lesbian Corey Burke murders her father with an ice axe in Election Night meltdown at Seattle home
A Blue Origin employee married to a prominent trans author and journalist has been accused of killing her elderly father with an ice axe on Election Night.
Corey Burke, 33, allegedly struck, stabbed and strangled her father, 67-year-old Timothy Burke, in a fatal attack at her $800,000 Seattle home on November 5.
Burke, a training manager at Jeff Bezos' rockets and spacecraft company, confessed to killing her father after he refused to turn off the lights, according to charging documents seen by DailyMail.com.
After emerging from the house with blood 'dripping' down her face, she confessed to police that she 'freaked out,' claiming there was 'something important about Election Day.'
Burke reportedly told detectives that 'she knew that she could not convince her father to keep the lights off', so went upstairs and retrieved the murder weapon.
She then tripped her father and strangled him before attacking him with the ice axe.
Burke then bit him and hit him several times in the head and side with the blunt and sharp ends of the ice axe, cops say. His body was found in the basement.
Burke claimed she knew the killing 'needed to happen today,' according to a police report.
She allegedly told police she had to bite her father while choking him because 'he was too strong.' Burke added that she felt better once her father 'went limp.'
Burke also told police that as her father labored to breathe after the attack, 'the defendant sat next to him until he stopped breathing.'
Investigators say Burke came out of the Rainier Valley home with a bloody face and appeared to be having a mental health crisis.
Burke had apparently smashed several windows and later told police she did so in an 'act of liberation' after she killed her father. She had reportedly been 'clapping inside her home' when cops arrived.
The police report also includes her claims that she'd been 'reborn' on her 33rd birthday last month.

Fiery Wyoming tunnel crash kills at least 2, closes I-80 in both directions
A fiery pileup Friday at an Interstate 80 tunnel in southwestern Wyoming killed at least two people, seriously injured at least five others and shut down the highway.
The crash involved an unknown number of trucks and other vehicles inside and outside the tunnel at Green River. Black smoke and exploding tires made getting inside difficult for rescuers, Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper Nicholas Warren said.
The crash in the twin tunnelโs westbound tube late Friday morning closed the highway in both directions, with still no estimate by late afternoon when it would reopen. Highway traffic was being rerouted through Green River.
A statement from nearby Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County urged people not to visit unless they had an emergency or family in the โmass casualtyโ wreck. Hospital spokeswoman Lena Warren said she did not know yet how many victims were admitted.
The quarter-mile (400-meter) tunnel goes under Castle Rock, a sandstone formation that stands over Green River, the Sweetwater County seat of 11,500 people.

The Jesuit Photographer Who Captured the Titanic Before It Sank
The first major exhibition in the United States of the work of Fr. Francis Browne, SJ, an Irish Jesuit priest and photographer, was recently held at the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art at the University of Notre Dame. Born in 1880 into a large, affluent family in Cork, Fr. Browneโs parents had both died by the time he was 18. His education and religious life were guided by his uncle, Bishop Robert Browne, who gave Fr. Browne his first camera. Bishop Browne would later gift his nephew a two-day cruise on the RMS Titanic, and Fr. Browne took one of the last known photos of the ship above water. Here David Acton, curator of photographs at the Raclin, answered some of our questions about Fr. Browneโs life and art.
In April 1912, his uncle Robert Browne, Bishop of Cobh, gave him a first-class ticket to sail on the first leg of the maiden voyage of the RMS Titanic. He photographed the journey from Southampton in England to Cherbourg, France, and then to Queensland (Cobh) in Ireland. His images captured the journey, the ship, and her passengers and crew. Fr. Browne disembarked at home before the liner sailed to its disastrous sinking in the North Atlantic. After the tragedy, newspapers and magazines sought him out and published several of his photographs of the Titanic, bringing the first recognition to his work as a photographer.

I saw some who had marks of wounds on their bodies and I made signs to them asking what they were; and they showed me how people from other islands nearby came there and tried to take them, and how they defended themselves; and I believed and believe that they come here from tierra firme to take them captive. They should be good and intelligent servants, for I see that they say very quickly everything that is said to them; and I believe they would become Christians very easily, for it seemed to me that they had no religion. Our Lord pleasing, at the time of my departure I will take six of them from here to Your Highnesses in order that they may learn to speak.
