Government Advisor Warns UK Is Heading For Civil War

A top academic and government advisor warns that the UK will experience a civil war within the next five years caused by the “destruction of legitimacy” brought about by the government’s failure to secure the border.

Professor David Betz made the comments during a podcast appearance with journalist and author Louise Perry.

Betz teaches at Kings College London and has advised or worked with the UK MOD and GCHQ as well as being a Senior Fellow of the Foreign Policy Research Institute.

The professor, who describes himself as a “classic member of the establishment,” told Perry that British society is now “explosively configured” to suffer mass unrest.

He said the fallout began with the fracture of the social contract after the political establishment in the UK tried to subvert the Brexit vote.

Subsequent years have brought about a “destruction of legitimacy” as a result of successive governments’ open border policy and their inability to protect children from grooming gangs, in addition to a two-tier justice system presided over by a highly-politicised judiciary.

“If you want to create domestic turmoil in a society, then what the British government has been doing is almost textbook exactly what you would do,” said the professor. Continue…

Russian Permanent UN Representative Vasily Nebenzia pulled no punches at the UNSC last month when responding to the Secretary General’s latest report on terrorism.

He called the West out for using such groups “to achieve their geopolitical goals, including the overthrow of inconvenient Governments and the creation and maintenance of hotbeds of regional instability.”

He also claimed that they’re “cultivating a terrorist hydra” to justify aggression against the afflicted countries and their occupation.

This led to Nebenzia discussing the growth of terrorism in West Africa, which he said isn’t due to Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger fighting more robustly against this scourge like the Secretary General’s report claimed, but NATO’s war on Libya as well as recent Western and Ukrainian support for such groups.

On the topic of Ukraine, he mentioned how it “had previously been used as a staging ground for foreign terrorist fighters, and now it has morphed into a logistical hub”.

The People’s Republic of China (PRC) “almost certainly” poses the “greatest ongoing” cyber espionage threat to Canada, the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security said in a bulletin updated on March 4.

Leftists party members and media alike have widely favoured the un-elected Carney as the frontrunner of Sunday’s leadership contest — the winner of which will become Canada’s next prime minister.

Ashton acknowledges Carney has been “touted as having the solutions to our economic challenges” — but says contrary to that well-constructed opinion, he is actually “very much the poster person for the broken system, the hollowing out of Canada that has made us so vulnerable today.”

The NDP MP exposed Brookfield Asset Management, a company Carney chaired until January 16 when he announced his candidacy for the Liberal leadership contest, for allegedly dodging corporate taxes using offshore accounts.

At the time of Carney's January 16 announcement, he said he resigned from his role as head of the company.

Ashton referenced a 2023 report from the Centre for International Corporate Tax Accountability and Research called Brookfield: Canada's Top Tax Dodger.

“In 2021 Brookfield Asset Management dodged a jaw-dropping $6.5 billion,” said Ashton.

“In 2021 alone, Canada lost $30 billion in corporate tax revenue to offshore havens.”

“This means that one in five of all the tax dollars corporations diverted from the Canadian public came from Brookfield alone.”

“This is obscene, and Canadians are paying the price today.”

“We in the NDP are calling on Mark Carney to come clean about his role in Brookfield’s exploitative practices.”

“Did he help Brookfield dodge taxes? Canadians deserve to know.”

“With the tax dollars Brookfield hid in offshore accounts in Bermuda, could have invested in healthcare, affordable housing, and desperately needed infrastructure for First Nations.”

Former Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland is confident her nine-year stint supporting Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is going to secure her as the next prime minister.

The winner of the March 9 Liberal leadership race will replace Trudeau and become Canada’s next prime minister. Other candidates include Trudeau’s economic adviser Mark Carney, who is the godfather of Freeland’s son, former government House leader Karina Gould and former Liberal MP Frank Baylis.

The un-elected Carney is the obvious frontrunner, with Liberals and government-funded media pundits favouring him over other candidates despite his apparent penchant for lying and connections to the World Economic Forum and the Chinese Communist Party.

Freeland, however, insists she will triumph over the Liberals’ sweetheart — and appoint him to a cabinet role once she forms government.

“I intend to win on Sunday. And when I win, I will invite Mark to serve as finance minister in my government. I think we'll make a great team,” Freeland told reporters Wednesday.

Justin Trudeau’s Minister of Justice announced 20 judicial appointments of Liberal-leaning judges to various Canadians courts in just one day.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is stacking Canadian courts with Liberal judges before he steps down as Liberal leader.

On March 3, the Minister of Justice and Attorney General Arif Virani, under the direction of Trudeau, announced 20 judicial appointments of Liberal-leaning judges to various Canadians courts just weeks before Trudeau is expected to leave office.

The announcements include appointments to the Tax Court of Canada, the Federal Court, and the provincial courts of Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia.

Indeed, according to government information from Blacklock’s Reporter, Trudeau’s last days in office have been busy. Since announcing his resignation on January 6, Trudeau has made 104 federal appointments, including judges, diplomats, “special advisors,” and federal boards.

In just the past two months, Trudeau has named Liberal appointees to the Canada Council for the Arts, Canadian Air Transport Security Authority, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Canadian Centre for Occupational Health, Canadian Cultural Property Expert Review Board, Canadian Energy Regulator, Canadian High Arctic Research Station, Canadian Museum of Nature, Canadian Race Relations Foundation, and Canadian Radio Television and Telecommunications Commission.

Notably, none of Trudeau’s 104 appointments can be challenged, as he suspended Parliament until March 24. This maneuver buys the Liberal Party a couple months’ time to select a new leader and rebrand their government.   

As it stands, Trudeau is scheduled to stay on as prime minister until Liberals elect a new leader at an internal election scheduled for March 9.
