the civil war was intigated by the ratschilds in england and france bcs they had lost control of the US and convinced the respective gov'ts that they could get back their lost colonies if they first weakened and divided the US with a civil war. they did this by pitting the rich textile mill owners in the north against the rich cotton plantation owners in the south. the north rammed outrageous laws thru congress to financially cripple the south, and that was what got the locals stirred up. had nothing to do with slavery. war started in '61, but emancipation proclamation not issued until '63, and only bcs the north was losing, and it was a desperate attempt to force the confederate army to divert resources to recapturing runaway slaves. the tsar of russia sent the russian fleet to blockade both coasts, and protect the US from the english and french navies who were poised to invade the US, not bcs he loved america, but he didn't want to see the either the french or the english grow stronger.
anyway… back to lincoln… my money is on the french/english bankers bcs they're spoiled petulant children who wanted revenge for their fail plot to destroy the USA
