Anon grew up as a military brat. Went to high
school in Spain. Gotta say it was the most
magnificent experience of my life in every way
imaginable. I wish EVERY American could share that experience. However, as an adult I realized that I would hate to see foreign bases here in the USA. I'd like to see closures of every US base overseas except for those nations where THE PEOPLE are in favor of it.
Mostly the same here esp. with meds and
vehicles.
Called my homeowners insurance today to ask if some recent damage was covered. Was told that I now have to file an actual claim
BEFORE they could tell me if I was covered.
Reminded me of having to vote FOR a bill

I think the experience was a good one for most of the Spaniards. The base provided
many well paying jobs to locals. Americans befriended Spaniards and vice versa. Everywhere I went I felt welcomed and even
revered in very rural areas which was surreal.
I'm well aware of why I was there. I lived at two bases that were closed down due to desires of the local nationals. It is sad to think of the tens of thousands that won't get to share the experiences and goodwill that I experienced but I understand the reasoning behind it.
I don't think that pencil necked, watermelon
