What you people do not seem to understand is that even if the records were destroyed, which are essentially database records and even analog paperwork can be scanned into the database as BLOBS and CLOBS digital records, that all those database have backups as part of every banks Disaster Recovery untis in different data center locations like Delaware and Reston VA, and those records all can be retrieved. Logical thinking, do you think if a disaster in NYC happened and wipe out their datacenters there, that the banks would not be able to recover all their hundreds of millions of dollars in transactions of credit card purchases? Of course than can recover it, and it would not be able to operate as a bank if they couldn't.
