President Trump slams Hamas for ‘barbaric’ murder of the Bibas brothers.

“It’s so barbaric. You wouldn’t think that would happen in the modern age, but it happened.”

Trump also said he is “really” fine with any decision Israel makes as to whether to continue to a second stage of the Gaza hostage deal or return to war in Gaza.

NBCUniversal quietly settled a $30 million defamation lawsuit filed by a Georgia doctor after MSNBC’s biggest stars—including Rachel Maddow, Nicolle Wallace, and Chris Hayes—falsely accused him of performing "mass hysterectomies" on women detained at an immigration facility during the first Trump administration and dubbed him the "uterus collector."

The network settled the lawsuit for an undisclosed sum Thursday, avoiding a jury trial that was scheduled to begin on April 22 in Georgia’s Southern District. The suit arose from explosive MSNBC reports in 2020 alleging that Mahendra Amin, whom network anchors dubbed the "uterus collector," conducted unnecessary and unauthorized gynecological procedures, including hysterectomies, on immigrant women at an ICE facility.

Maddow, Wallace, and Hayes aggressively pushed those claims, which stemmed from a whistleblower complaint and became a centerpiece of MSNBC’s coverage of alleged abuses under President Donald Trump’s immigration policies. Amin sued MSNBC for defamation in September 2021, denying that he had performed any unnecessary medical procedures.

Former Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm is joining the board of a major U.S. utility company that received millions of taxpayer dollars from Granholm’s agency on her watch.

Granholm will be a board member for Edison International, a major utility holding company, and she will also sit on the board for Southern California Edison (SCE), a subsidiary of the holding company, Edison International announced on Thursday. SCE was part of a group of California-based entities that received $600 million in taxpayer cash from Granholm’s Department of Energy (DOE) in August 2024.

“Though they promised us something far different, the Biden administration revolving door looks to be still whirring fast enough to power a major city,” Michael Chamberlain, executive director of Protect the Public’s Trust, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “Incidents of former powerful government officials cashing in on their government service by leaving to work for companies that had matters before the department while they were there is a major contributor to the precipitous decline in the public’s trust in government.”

The U.S. Department of Education launched a civil rights investigation into Maine allowing boys to participate in girls’ sports on Friday, shortly after President Donald Trump slammed Gov. Janet Mills, D-Maine, over her defiance of federal civil rights protections for girls.

“You better comply, because otherwise you’re not getting any … federal funding,” Trump told Mills at a governors’ summit at the White House on Friday. “By the way, your population, even though it’s somewhat liberal — although I did very well there — your population doesn’t want men playing in women’s sports.”

Mills said she’d see Trump in court, but Trump replied, “Good, I’ll see you in court. I look forward to that. That should be a real easy one. And, enjoy your life after governor, because I don’t think you’ll be in elected politics.”

Immediately following the exchange, the Department of Education sent a letter to Maine Department of Education Commissioner Pender Makin over “allegations that it continues to allow male athletes to compete in girls’ interscholastic athletics and that it has denied female athletes female-only intimate facilities, thereby violating federal antidiscrimination law.”

The investigation includes an inquiry into a Maine school district where a male student who claims to be a female at Greely High School competed against girls and stole first place in the girls’ pole vaulting championship.

The Department of Education told schools across the country to drop their policies allowing men in women’s sports and DEI initiatives because they violate civil rights law, including Title IX. The department threatened to revoke federal education funding from any state or locality that does not comply, as Trump promised to do with Maine specifically on Thursday. Maine’s K-12 schools serve to lose $250 million, according to the Portland Press Herald.

Connecticut Democrats have spent $1.3 billion in taxpayer funds on illegal migrants, or almost $340 for each of the 3.68 million people in the state, according to a new study.

Democrat Governor Ned Lamont has disputed the report by the conservative Yankee Institute, but the organization’s President, Carol Platt Liebau, has noted that her organization has cited the accounting of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), which found that the Nutmeg State has supported about 225,000 illegal migrants of all ages incurring costs for medical care, in-state tuition and education, incarceration, and welfare payments.

“We welcome the opportunity to discuss with the Governor other ways to save taxpayer dollars,” Liebau said on the Yankee Institute’s website. “After all, $1.3 billion is a significant sum, and as he knows, some families who are here legally and some of our state’s businesses are struggling, and could certainly benefit from those resources.”

Donald Trump appears to have won his trade standoff with Volodymyr Zelensky, as the Ukrainian president is set to give in and sign a deal giving the U.S. access to deposits of critical minerals.

The deal was seen as crucial for satisfying Washington's demands for a peace settlement between Ukraine and Russia to end their three-year long war.

It's a staggering surrender from Zelensky, who had said just days earlier: 'I defend Ukraine, I can't sell our country.'

Zelensky said on Friday that officials from his country and the U.S. were working on concluding an economic deal to ensure that the accord worked and was fair to Kyiv.

'We're signing an agreement, hopefully in the next fairly short period of time,' Trump told reporters in the Oval Office when asked about a deal for Ukraine's minerals.

The Wall Street Journal later cited several people familiar with the matter that the deal is close and will be signed within hours.

It comes following word that Zelensky angered Trump so much during negotiations that Trump threatened to completely pull US funding from Ukraine, Axios reported.

On Wednesday Zelensky rejected the demand for a share of its rare earth minerals -critical for cellphone production and a host of clean technologies.

That triggered a brutal war of words between the two leaders but an improved offer has reportedly been made to Kyiv.

Polish President Andrzej Duda is set to meet with former U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday, diplomatic sources confirmed to the Polish Press Agency (PAP). The meeting is expected to take place either at the White House or during the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) near Washington, D.C.

According to PAP, the meeting is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. local time (7:30 p.m. in Poland). Initially, reports suggested that the meeting would be held at the White House, but TVN has indicated that CPAC, where Trump is scheduled to speak, could also serve as the venue.

The discussion between the two leaders comes a day after the foreign ministers of Poland and the United States, Radosław Sikorski and Marco Rubio, are set to hold talks on Friday evening (Polish time). On the same day, during CPAC, Sikorski also met with National Security Advisor Mike Waltz for a brief conversation focused on current global issues, according to the Polish minister.

The previously unannounced meeting between Duda and Trump follows Duda’s recent discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The Polish president has reaffirmed his country’s stance on the ongoing war in Ukraine, stating that he conveyed to Zelensky that “we firmly believe there is no other way to stop the bloodshed and achieve lasting peace in Ukraine than with the support of the United States.”
