Twitter has different colored checkmarks to indicate the type of account:
Blue
A blue checkmark indicates that an account is a subscriber to X Premium and meets Twitter's eligibility requirements.
Gold
A gold checkmark indicates that an account is an official organization account.
Gray
A gray checkmark indicates that an account represents a government or multilateral organization.
These checkmarks help users distinguish between genuine accounts and impostors. However, the checkmark does not mean that tweets from a verified account are accurate or truthful.
