Shin Bet arrests two Israeli Jews who drove terrorists to Bat Yam ahead of bus bombings
The two are also charged with attempted murder.
The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) arrested two Jewish-Israeli suspects and are investigating their potential involvement in transporting the terrorists that planted bombs on buses in the Bat Yam area of central Israel on Thursday evening, Israeli media reported on Friday.
The two are also charged with attempted murder.
Shin Bet also added that it is continuing the search for additional suspects who planted explosive devices last night in three buses parked at different locations in Bat Yam and another bus in Holon, KAN added.
"At this stage, there are no conclusive findings," Shin Bet added.
Meanwhile, a security source told Walla that the events in Bat Yam and Holon are "very serious" and that a special operations squad has been established to track down the perpetrators of the bombing and rule out additional terrorist attacks.
The initial assessment from the security establishment is that the plan for the attack came from Iran, and was carried out by Hamas terrorists from the West Bank. Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) identified Iranian involvement in the West Bank by supplying weapons, training terrorists to carry out attacks, and assembling explosive devices, according to Maariv.
Bat Yam Mayor Zvika Brut told Maariv that he intends to increase security in the city, particularly around schools and other education establishments, but it is unlikely that terrorists remain in the area.

Woman who performed Nazi salute at protest is unmasked as owner of two kosher cafés inside Jewish hospital
A woman who was caught at a pro-Palestine demonstration giving the Nazi salute and making anti-Jewish threats has been unmasked as the owner of two kosher cafés inside the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, Canada.
Mai Abdulhadi, 39, was shockingly caught on camera giving the Sieg Heil salute towards pro-Israel counter-protesters at last Thursday's protest at her alma mater Concordia University.
She attempted to shield her identity with a keffiyeh – a traditional Palestinian scarf – as well as a medical mask and sunglasses but was revealed as she taunted the opposing group.
Abdulhadi warned them in the video: 'Final Solution is coming your way. The Final Solution. Do you know what the Final Solution is? Do you know what the Final Solution is?'
Abdulhadi was swiftly identified on social media as one of the owners of the Second Cup Café franchises in two pavilions of the Jewish General Hospital – both cafés are certified kosher, according to the Jewish Community Council of Montreal.
The café's overseeing company, Second Cup Canada, confirmed that Abdulhadi 'was filmed making hateful remarks and gestures' and it has 'zero tolerance for hate speech' on Saturday.
In a statement, the company explained: 'In coordination with the hospital, we've shut down the franchisee's cafe and are terminating their franchise agreement.

In a gathering with the team, the 44th US president chatted with 76ers center Joel Embiid about Edwards.
'What do you think of this young guy?' Obama asked Embiid about the 23-year-old. 'He can hoop a little bit, huh?'
Edwards, who was selected for the team behind an exceptional playoff run, overheard the conversation and chimed in.
'Man, y'all better stand down. I'm the truth,' Edwards confidently claimed.
Thrown by the response, Obama followed up by asking, 'You said you're the truth, yeah?'
'These boys know,' Edwards replied with the same confidence. In response, Obama checked with the older players, starting with LeBron James.
After Edwards explained the context behind the question, James backed him, echoing, 'This man [is] the truth.'

>Who are the men now being held at Guantánamo Bay?
https://www.nytimes.com/2025/02/19/us/politics/migrant-mission-guantanamo-bay.html
What We Know About the Secretive Migrant Mission at Guantánamo Bay
The Trump administration has said little about the Venezuelan men who were transferred from Texas to the U.S. military base in Cuba.
The Trump administration has moved more than 175 men from an immigration holding site in Texas to the U.S. military base at Guantánamo Bay. All have been described as Venezuelans who have been issued final deportation orders. But it is not known why these men in particular were sent there.
Waves of migrants, including thousands of Haitians and Cubans, have been housed at the base over the years. But it is better known as a prison for wartime detainees captured after the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. Because of that legacy, Guantánamo Bay sometimes evokes the idea of indefinite detention without charge, a legal black hole with no way out.
