I've pretty much surmised that the goreposters are probably attacking the bakers with this gambit of theirs, by making the postcounts be variable towards the end of breads due to post deletions and the way page refreshes happen.
Knowing that is the only real countermeasure against it, and at that it's mostly a baker thing ;p
