There are actually 9 kids total. One is no longer a minor. One might still be a minor.

There is a lot going on in this case that hasn't been disclosed yet.

At a minimum, people started reporting these people in 2018.

They definitely were under investigation in 2019. They blabbed that and the details to everyone they ran into, seeking sympathy, claiming they were being set up by crooked cops.

Circled areas on the property is all garbage. They would pull stuff out of dumpsters take it back and look for anything they could sell for scrap, etc. then discard everything unsellable/unusable on the property. Some of the garbage is on public land on the right.

They were living in an old school bus.

Then they were living in an old horse trailer, metal floor, no furniture, not even a mattress, in the dead cold of winter.

Then they were living in an old RV, rotten floor, leaking room, one small bed for all of them, until the roof/floor collapsed.

Then they moved into an old van, no heat.

Then into "caves" apparently hand dug.

L.E., CYFD and APS saw all kinds of red flags (including extreme animal abuse) years ago.

Charges should have been filed a long time ago - not on the stuff they couldn't prove back then…. not on the stuff that technically didn't fall into the statutory area for enforcement, but on the stuff they definitely could prove and knew about, and did something about without charging.

They are correct to charge the wife w/conspiracy. She will likely claim to be a victim. She isn't.

Frustrating.
