This is inevitble in a two party system. You have to lose ideology and the idea of x partisan anything.

That is not how ideas are evaluated. Idea proposed to such a system will be transformed into distorted versions of themselves with dysfunctional results.

I thing after we correct our history, we will realize party factionalism which conferred competitive advantage in a earlier world, in a computational world is disadvantageous.

The point is, our world is becoming increasingly virtual. We can secure our democracy with the strength of our open source encryption protocols, and our struggles with have to do with questions of our purpose as a species. That's not something we want a republican or a democrat proposal on. That is for us as a free people to debate and decide.

That is what matters. We can extend human lifespan by decades now, soon very likely longer. We can offer free education in every conceivable field and training for every occupation the same way. We can link those virtual attainments to virtual employment opportunities. Dude, you drive a virtual bulldozer you don't need to drive a real one.

That's what we'd be talking about if we had a news media. Do we put a permanent base on the moon? How soon are we going to Mars? What the fuck is with Atlantis?

Our information supply is so polluted we are selecting what we want to believe. We won't know reality until it clears and we can once again tell shinola from psyops.
