House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, said Republican lawmakers are preparing a slate of legislation to rein in the judiciary as the Trump administration battles multiple federal courts over its policies.
"Everything’s on the table," Jordan told Fox News Digital in an interview. "We’re looking to be as helpful as possible."
As one example, Jordan signaled he expected an eventual vote on a bill introduced by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., who chairs the courts subcommittee of Jordan’s panel, which would limit federal judges’ ability to order nationwide injunctions in response to more localized cases.
"We've looked at different ways to draft legislation. But we think that makes sense," Jordan said. "That’s something that we can look at doing and maybe even, you know, try to move fairly quick on that bill."
Another idea Jordan mentioned was taking those nationwide injunctions to stop presidential policies and providing an avenue for an expedited appeal to potentially get the order limited quickly.
The Ohio Republican also mentioned reintroducing legislation from the previous Congress, when Democrats controlled the Senate and White House.
One such bill by Rep. Russell Fry, R-S.C., would allow presidents or vice presidents involved in lawsuits or other prosecutions to move those cases to federal court, if they were in a lower circuit.
But Jordan said the measure would be widened beyond just those two roles.

Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Scott Turner is set to announce the elimination a costly Obama- and Biden-era federal zoning rule on Wednesday that President Trump warned would “destroy” suburban neighborhoods nationwide.
“Local and state governments understand the needs of their communities much better than bureaucrats in Washington, DC,” Turner said in a statement exclusively shared with The Post. “Terminating this rule restores trust in local communities and property owners, while protecting America’s suburbs and neighborhood integrity.”
By terminating the AFFH [Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing] rule, localities will no longer be required to complete onerous paperwork and drain their budgets to comply with the extreme and restrictive demands made up by the federal government,” he added.
“As HUD returns to the original understanding and enforcement of the law without onerous compliance requirements, we can better serve rural, urban and tribal communities that need access to fair and affordable housing.”

Trump must get the debt ceiling raised in order to apply ANY new tax cuts. The formula used by Congress implies that ALL TAX CUTS ARE ADDED DEBT bc (technically) they will reduce government revenues, and therefore lead to budget deficits & growth in government debt.
TAX CUTS ARE CONSIDERED DEBT.
So much of Trump’s added debt ceiling number IS NOT actually “more debt” — it’s just how the government will factor Trump’s tax cuts into their crazy ass equation.
What they completely ignore, is the fact that lowering (or removing) taxes RAISES DISPOSABLE INCOME & allows consumers to SPEND MORE……which ultimately INCREASES the gross domestic product (GDP).
And we must also factor-in the billions in fraud & waste spending that ELON & DOGE will eliminate — which will lower the deficit instantaneously, once factored into their formula.
This proves that the numbers we are seeing right now are highly inflated….. they simply don’t go birds-eye view to show Trump’s LONG-TERM goals & plan.
Tax cuts reduce government revenues & create either a budget deficit or increased sovereign debt — which means President Trump (nor Congress) can officially include ANY of the promised tax cuts in ANY spending bills, EO’s or legislation until the debt ceiling is raised.
But I agree with a great point Jon made on his show today — shut it all down…….& since Elon/DOGE are now in charge of what funding is essential during a Government shutdown, let THEM decide what we actually need for government to function!
NEW🔥: Judge denies Fulton DA’s request to evade subpoenas from Georgia lawmakers over election indictment
Shukura Ingram, a judge with the Fulton County Superior Court, denied Willis’ request to quash the subpoenas.
Willis has said as an elected official, lawmakers don’t have the power to subpoena her.
In a motion to quash the subpoenas, Willis argued the Senate special committee on investigations that issued the subpoenas did not exist because the new Georgia General Assembly was sworn in back in January.
The Senate committee wants Willis to answer questions about her investigation into alleged election meddling in Georgia after then-former President Donald Trump and several of his GOP allies were indicted in Fulton County in 2023.
Willis has until March 12 to refile another order to quash the subpoenas, with Ingram seeking a “detailed list of claimed privileges and objections” from the district attorney.
