You don't get what happened today and only see the surface.
The real happening was Trump wanted the negotitation/discussion in front of the press after Z went behind JD/Rubio's back.
Trump could have ordered the press out of the room at any time and he didn't
And the Democrats were trying to set the stage to get Trump again.
Instead no deal and Z was kicked out.
Trump doesn't need the deal. A bad deal is one you walk away from.
