White House wants filmed apology from Zelensky – Fox

An anonymous source has told the outlet it is a precondition for resuming talks on a US-Ukraine minerals deal

If Ukrainian leader VladimirZelensky wants to resume negotiationswith the US on a rare earths deal,he will have to publicly apologizefor his demeanor during a meeting with US President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance on Friday, Fox News has reported, citing an unnamed American official.

Several weeks prior to the bitter altercation at the White House, Kiev and Washington had been thrashing out an agreement that would have granted the US access to Ukraine’s natural resources. The process has, however, been left in limbo in the wake of Zelensky’s heated faceoff with the American leadership.

In a report on Monday, Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy said that “there’s quite a disconnect happening here at the White House with their allies in Kiev.” He further claimed, “I have been told by a senior official here thatnothing’s gonna happen with this minerals deal until Zelensky goes in front of cameras and makes an explicit public apology for the way that he behaved… in the Oval Office.”

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian leader himself told the BBC on Sunday that he was willing to continue a “constructive dialogue” with Washington and sign the agreement.

Hours after the confrontational episode on Friday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio similarly advised Zelensky to apologize “for wasting our time… [and] turning this thing into the fiasco for him that it became.”

The Ukrainian leader, in turn, told Fox News that he did not feel he owed Trump and Vance an apology.

Speaking to the same outlet on Monday, National Security Adviser Mike Waltzdescribed Zelensky as the “problem” due to his refusal to “talk peace.”

“Time is not on his side. Time is not on the side of just forever continuing this conflict,” the official said.

On Sunday, Waltz made similar remarks in an interview with CNN, adding that“if it becomes apparentthat President Zelensky’s eitherpersonalmotivations orpolitical motivations are divergentfrom ending the fighting in his country, then I think we have a real issue on our hands.”

We need a leader that can deal with us, eventually deal with the Russians, and end this war,” he explained.

The Friday meeting at the White House quickly descended into a shouting match, with Trump accusing his visitor of failure to show gratitude and insisting that Kiev does not “have the cards.” He also stated that Ukraine would have lost to Russia already if not for generous US assistance.

(I think Trump is trying to make it harder on Zelenskyy, because he doesn’t want Zelenskyy back at all. Knowing Zelenskyy’s ego he won’t do it, until all weapons are cut off. If Trump cut the weapons off they cannot fight past June. The odd thing is Z is believing UK, France and others they will provide peacekeepers, but only if U.S. backs them up. The U.S. will not back them up. So they are lying to him)

Macron calls on Trump and Zelensky to ‘de-escalate’(FO Macron)

The French president has said relations between the US and Ukrainian leaders can be mended following a disastrous meeting

French President Emmanuel Macron has said he has every confidence that relations between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky will be quickly restored following their public Oval Office blow up last week. (Macron is full of shit and he lies constantly, he acts like this was not a big deal in politics. I hope Trump tells Macron to STFU and stop talking for him.)

Zelensky’s trip to the White House on Friday was abruptly cut short after his meeting with Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance devolved into a shouting match in front of the media. Trump accused the Ukrainian leader of “gambling with World War III” due to his reluctance to negotiate peace with Russia, and of being disrespectful and ungrateful for the massive military aid provided to Kiev by Washington.

During the heated exchange, Zelensky again ruled out the possibility of talks with Moscow, demanded security guarantees from the US and refused to acknowledge that Kiev’s forces are experiencing manpower shortages.

Macron told Le Figaro on Sunday that he was confident that despite the shouting match, “de-escalation” between the US and Ukrainian leaders will be achieved swiftly.

“In the coming days, we should be able to get things back on track,” he said. (Bullshit. Even if Trump forgives Zelensky, the American people won’t. Plus his peacekeeper nonsense is dead on arrival, the US will not back you up)

According to the newspaper, the French president has talked to his US counterpart three times in the space of just three days trying to settle the dispute between Washington and Kiev.

Broadcaster BFMTV reported last week, citing a French diplomatic source, that Trump had been initially reluctant to host Zelensky in Washington and that it was Macron who persuaded the US president to change his mind.

Zelensky told journalists on Sunday that he also thought his relations with Trump could be repaired, but added that he would like communications to happen behind closed doors from now on. (They were supposed to discuss elsewhere but he started this in public)

“I do not think it is right when such discussions are totally open… The format of what happened, I do not think it brought something positive to us as partners,” the Ukrainian leader explained. (Is this asshole blaming Trump, they had a meeting before and advised him other matters will spoken about elsewhere)

Zelensky also signaled readiness to sign the deal granting the US rights to Ukraine’s natural resources as compensation for military assistance. His trip to Washington had been intended to finalize the agreement before things went awry.

Trump told journalists on Friday that Zelensky is not interested in stopping the fighting and that he would be welcome back to the White House only “when he is ready for peace.”

US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz told CNN on Sunday that Washington is unsure whether Vladimir Zelensky is the right person to be in charge of Ukraine. “We need a leader that can deal with us, eventually deal with the Russians, and end this war,” he said.

That was good Bill saying Woodward lied in the book he wrote “Wired” on John Belushi and he never asked John’s closest friends, it was all gossip and lies.

Someone should sue his ass, all the books Woodward writes are unnamed sources and innuendo. Like the ones he’s written about Trump.

Even Deep Throat was bullshit:

Deep Throat is the pseudonym given to the secret informant who provided information in 1972 to Bob Woodward, who shared it with Carl Bernstein. Woodward and Bernstein were reporters for The Washington Post, and Deep Throat provided key details about the involvement of U.S. president Richard Nixon's administration in what came to be known as the Watergate scandal. In 2005, 31 years after Nixon's resignation and 11 years after Nixon's death, Mark Felt revealed through an attorney that he was Deep Throat. By then, Felt was suffering from dementia and had previously denied being Deep Throat, but Woodward and Bernstein then confirmed the attorney's claim.

BREAKING: Head of FBI field office in New York resigns after the Department of Justice accused his office of hiding thousands of Epstein documents.

James Dennehy says he was forced to resign in an email to staff.

"Late Friday, I was informed that I needed to put my retirement papers in today, which I just did. I was not given a reason for this decision," Dennehy said.

Dennehy had previously told his office to "dig in" after Trump was elected.

The resignation comes after AG Pam Bondi instructed FBI Director Kash Patel to launch an investigation into claims that the New York field office was hiding thousands of documents.

Bondi said a source came forward claiming the field office had thousands of pages of docs.

"I repeatedly questioned whether this was the full set of documents responsive to my request and was repeatedly assured by the FBI that we had received the full set of documents," Bondi said.

"Late yesterday, I learned from a source that the FBI Field Office in New York was in possession of thousands of pages of documents related to the investigation and indictment of Epstein."

"Despite my repeated requests, the FBI never disclosed the existence of these files. When you and I spoke yesterday, you were just as surprised as I was to learn this new information."

The FBI knew all the crimes of Epstein and Maxwell and let them do it for years, for blackmail. Just like they knew about Diddy and what he did for years. Same story the FBI protects criminals and goes after protesters.

And why is almost US mass shootings the FBI were warned about them and never investigated until the mass shootings happened.

Kash and Dan should have an army surrounding them.

US suspends offensive cyber operations against Russia, senior US official says

(CNN etc are starting another hoax, how to connect Trump with Russia againand look who’s the author Sciutto!)1/2

ByJim Sciuttoand Sean Lyngaas, CNN

Updated: 3:20 PM EST, Mon March 3, 2025

The US has suspended operations and planning for offensive cyber operations against Russia, a senior US official told CNN.

The suspension is “a major blow,” the official said, especially since planning for such operations takes time and research to carry out. The concern, the official said,is that the pause on offensive cyber operations against Russia will make the US more vulnerable to potential cyberattacks from Moscow, which has a formidable cadre of hackerscapable of disrupting US critical infrastructure and collecting sensitive intelligence.

The pause in operations and planning from US Cyber Command, the military’s offensive and defensive cyber unit, comes as the Trump administration has sought a broader détente with Russia three years into Moscow’s war against Ukraine.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance berated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office on Friday, throwing the US-Ukraine relationship into uncertainty.

“Due to operational security concerns, we do not comment nor discuss cyber intelligence, plans, or operations. There is no greater priority to Secretary Hegseth than the safety of the warfighter in all operations, to include the cyber domain,” a senior defense official told CNN, referring to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

The Record first reported on Cyber Command’s suspension of planning related to Russia.

“It is not uncommon for the Pentagon to pause actions which are potentially destabilizing or provocative for negotiations, including cyber-effects operations,” Jason Kikta, a former Cyber Command official, told CNN. “But if a planning pause was also directed, that could cause offensive options to become stale and therefore nonviable.”

“Any extended period without checking on access and updating planning, risks losing that access or missing a critical change,” Kikta said, adding that he was not personally aware of any change in status of Cyber Command operations.

Russia and the US are in a regular state of confrontation in cyberspace, current and former US official say. The Kremlin sees cyberspace as a source of asymmetric advantage with the US, as it can burrow into US critical infrastructure and try to influence US elections.

For their part, American military and intelligence hackers have in recent years increasingly gone after Russian cybercriminals and intelligence operatives.

Since 2016, when Russia used bots, trolls and hackers to try to influence the election in favor of Trump, Moscow has repeated that playbook in some form in every US presidential election, according to US officials. (which didn’t fucking happen and they know it, it was used to make up the Russia Hoax against Trump)

Cyber Command was established more than a decade ago, in part to respond to threats from Russia and other foreign powers. The command has matured considerably since its inception, growing into a several-thousand strong force of computer operatives who conduct offensive and defensive missions.

From its base at Fort Meade, Maryland, alongside the National Security Agency, Cyber Command has also increasingly become a tool of US power projection. The command has sent specialists to allies around the world to try to help them defend against threats from cybercriminals and spies.

That includes a trip to Ukraine in December 2021, in anticipation of Russia’s full-scale invasion, to help Kyiv prepare for an onslaught of Russian cyberattacks.

Months after Russia’s full-scale of invasion, Cyber Command confirmed that it was actively engaged in helping Ukraine defend itself through cyberattacks. (So our Cyber Command are working with corrupt Ukraine agencies like Nina J created, sowere all those “so called” cyber attacks from Iran, come from Ukraine?)

Cyber Command has also increasingly taken aim at ransomware gangs that extort US businesses for millions of dollars and threaten the safety of hospitals. Many of those gangs are based in Russia. (They do know Ukraine is a much bigger cyber threat than Russia right? Russia has been blamed for every cyber attack that’s ever happened in the U.S., what about China that has a much larger cyber force?)

Cyber Command “provides people, resources and unique insights to support broader USG [US government] counter-ransomware operations,” a former senior Department of Defense official told CNN. “Russia is a permissive environment for some of the most prolific ransomware gangs and actors to operate. Does this operational planning hold apply to Russian ransomware actors that often target American companies?”

Despite the change in planning at Cyber Command, another major federal cybersecurity agency said it was not altering its posture.

The US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, the lead civilian agency for defending federal networks from hacks, said Sunday night on X that its mission is to “defend against all cyber threats to U.S. Critical Infrastructure, including from Russia.”

“There has been no change in our posture,” the agency said, in an apparent response to media reports that the agency was emphasizing non-Russia threats. “Any reporting to the contrary is fake and undermines our national security.”

Google Cofounder Exhorts Employees to Work 60-Hour Weeks to Create AI Designed to Replace Them

Joe Wilkins

Sat, March 1, 2025 at 9:45 AM

Over the past few years, the tech industry has gone from cushy landing pad for STEM grads to a cesspit of corporate greed, where grueling hours are commonplace, and layoffs could strike at any moment.

Unfortunately for employees of Alphabet, the parent company of Google, the squeeze is just getting started.

In an internal memo sent out Wednesday and obtained by the New York Times, Google cofounder Sergey Brin — who's been mostly absent from the company since 2019, except when issuing edicts about the importance of AI — made it clear he wants his peons to focus even harder on developing artificial general intelligence (AGI), the long-promised "next step" in AI intelligence.

"I recommend being in the office at least every weekday," Brin wrote, implying that good employees should also spend a few weekends in the office.

"60 hours a week is the sweet spot of productivity," Brin added, stating that a "number of folks work less than 60 hours and a small number put in the bare minimum to get by… This last group is not only unproductive but also can be highly demoralizing to everyone else."

Google's current policy only mandates three in-office days, so the boss' memo comes across as a heavy-handed suggestion — especially at a corporation that's been criticized for unfairly distributing performance evaluations, leading to arbitrary layoffs.

The crunch comes after waves of layoffs sent over 13,000 employees packing in recent years. Though Google posted $26.3 billion in profit as recently as last October, it continues to downsize and outsource full-time jobs in a bid to siphon its operating budget into AI development.

To that end, Brin also urged his employees to use Google's own AI model, Gemini, more in their coding efforts, according to the NYT. Which is ironic, given Gemini's history of issues, like the time it told a user that one pound of bricks and two pounds of feathers had the exact same weight.

The haranguing is also a bit rich seeing as ultimately, the goal of AI tech is to replace the very workers building it — assuming it ever gets that far, of course.

"Competition has accelerated immensely and the final race to AGI is afoot," Brin wrote, simultaneously cracking the whip and hyping AI superintelligence, in a familiar register to other would-be AI moguls Sam Altman and Elon Musk.

==FBI Director Kash Patel wants to bring the UFC to the FBI, sources say

Patel suggested he wants UFC to help agents improve their fitness, sources said==.

ByMike Levine andLuke Barr

February 27, 2025, 1:28 PM ET

Newly-installed FBI Director Kash Patel, whose proclaimed plans to overhaul the nation's premier law enforcement agency have rattled many within the bureau, has proposed enhancing the FBI's ranks with help from the Ultimate Fighting Championship, the martial-arts entertainment giant whose wealthy CEO, Dana White, helped boost President Donald Trump's reelection, according to sources who were told of Patel's proposal.

On a teleconference Wednesday with the heads of the FBI's 55 field offices, Patel suggested that he wants the FBI to establish a formal relationship with the UFC, which could develop programs for agents to improve their physical fitness, said sources who had been briefed on Wednesday's call.

The virtual meeting with each field office's special-agent-in-charge has long been a weekly occurrence, but this week's call was the first led by Patel, who was sworn in as director on Friday.

Within hours of Wednesday's call, word of Patel's UFC proposal spread to current and former FBI officials around the country.

"If they're trying to up their physical fitness, the UFC is very specific in their fitness," said ABC News contributor Rich Frankel, the former special agent in charge of the FBI's Newark, New Jersey, office.

It's not clear exactly what Patel would want UFC to do or provide to help improve fitness among FBI ranks.

Though Patel's UFC proposal stood out to some who heard about the meeting, Patel addressed a range of issues on the call, according to sources.

The new director tried to calm some of the concerns among FBI agents after the Justice Department last month demanded a list of the thousands of agents who aided investigations stemming from the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the U.S. Capitol and suggested that even those just following orders could be fired, the sources said.

There were also concerns about Patel's recent announcement that as many as 1,500 employees at FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C, would be reassigned to field offices and to an FBI office in Huntsville, Alabama. And last week's controversial email from the Office of Personnel Management demanding that all federal employees list what they had accomplished over the previous week or face termination only added to concerns within the FBI, sources said.

During Wednesday's call, Patel expressed his own concerns about that email and with confusing follow-up messages from the Trump administration's new Department of Government Efficiency, which has been guided by billionaire businessman Elon Musk, sources said.

Patel, on the call, also touted the FBI's work fighting crime and national security threats, and he asked the FBI officials to give him a chance to prove himself as their new leader, sources said. But he also warned them that he would not tolerate "leaks" or what he sees as other forms of insubordination.

Nevertheless, it was Patel's proposal to ask the UFC for help that quickly created some buzz within the FBI community. UFC is based in Las Vegas, where Patel now lives.

White, who is estimated to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars, has long been friends with Trump and last year became a big donor to Trump's presidential campaign. He joined Trump on stage in Florida during Trump's victory speech in November just hours after polls closed on Election Day.

Frankel, who spent more than two decades with the FBI, said the FBI may benefit from increasing its physical fitness standards – so the idea of the UFC helping with the FBI's training regimen may not be as unusual as it sounds.
