Leaders of massive human smuggling ring that funneled 20K illegal migrants from Guatemala to US arrested

The two top leaders of one of the biggest human smuggling rings that funneled 20,000 illegal migrants into the US since 2019 have been arrested in Los Angeles, authorities said.

Eduardo Domingo Renoj-Matul, who was busted Friday, is accused of helming the twisted group, which lured migrants from Guatemala for $15,000 to $18,000 and handed them off to smugglers in Mexico who would bring them into the US.

The feds also collared Cristobal Mejia-Chaj, who prosecutors said was Renoj-Matul’s “right-hand man,” on Friday. The two men are being held without bond.

The ring is accused of holding some of its victims hostage in stash houses and killing seven migrants, including a 4-year-old, according to a federal indictment.

MSNBC’s Jen Psaki never misses a chance to push government talking points, but she conveniently leaves out one key detail—her family’s deep financial ties to USAID. Investigative journalist Natalie Winters just revealed that Psaki’s sister, Stephanie Psaki, worked for nearly a decade at Population Council International, a group that has received hundreds of millions in taxpayer funds from USAID.

Population Council International isn’t just some minor nonprofit. It lists USAID as an official partner and has pulled in roughly $430 million since 2008, including over $50 million in both 2009 and 2010. And while Jen Psaki presents herself as an impartial political analyst, her sister was both a Senior Associate and Director at the organization before moving straight into the Biden White House as U.S. Coordinator for Global Health Security.

MSNBC won’t touch this. They present Psaki as a neutral commentator, yet her own family has been deeply embedded in government-funded organizations. This is the revolving door in action—media, politics, and taxpayer money all intertwined, with the public never being told the full story.
