Pete Hegseth Dunks on Russian ‘Reset’ Architect Hillary Clinton

Sean Moran3 Mar 2025

Failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s attempt to attack Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth failed when he noted that the New York Democrat once tried, and failed, to “reset” relations with Russia.

A report stated that Hegseth ordered the U.S. Cyber Command to pause offensive operations against Russiain what may be included as part of the Trump administration’s efforts to strike peace between Ukraine and Russia.

Clinton wrote, in response to the report, “Wouldn’t want to hurt Putin’s feelings.”

In 2009, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton presented Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavror with a red “reset” button to symbolize the thawing relations betwen the two nuclear power countries.

The Blaze wrote:

Although Clinton is now critical of the Trump administration’s efforts to improve diplomatic relations with the nuclear power, at the time she and her boss thought it was a worthwhile pursuit.

The picture, taken a year after Russia’s invasion of Georgia and few years ahead of Russia’s invasion of the Crimean Peninsula, shows Clinton presenting Lavrov — dubbed by some Western diplomats as a “mouthpiece for Putin” — with a red button symbolizing her desire to improve relations between Washington and Moscow.

However, the stunt failed as the button contained the English word for reset and intended to have theRussian word for reset; however, the word for “overload” was used instead.

“Does the Fake News Media remember when Crooked Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State was begging Russia to be our friend with the misspelled reset button? Obama tried also but he had zero chemistry with Putin,” Trump wrote in November 2017, mocking Clinton.

In response to Clinton’s post, Hegseth responded with a picture of her Russian reset button gaffe:

Exclusive – Fired USAID Worker Hailed as Whistleblower by Mainstream Media Donated 23 Times to Democrats

Mar. 3, 2025

A senior official at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) placed on leave after disseminating a memo attacking DOGE and the Trump administration has made almost two dozen donations to Democrats.

USAID Global Health Acting Assistant Administrator Nick Enrich was placed on administrative leave Sunday two days after sending a memo attacking USAID’s political leadership, the State Department, and Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency for creating “intentional and or/unintentional obstacles” for preventing payouts for vital programs.

Enrich’s memo comes as the Trump administration has effectively shuttered the agency, laying off and placing on leave thousands of employees and eliminating more than 90% of the agency’s foreign aid contracts and $60 billion in overall U.S. foreign assistance.

In his memo, Enrich claims thatcutting USAID funding will “undermine U.S. leadership, weaken global stability, and increase long-term costs.”

“The number of deaths attributable to the loss of USAID funding and support is not known at this time,” Enrich claimed.

But federal government records suggest a possible partisan motivation for Enrich’s memo.

Enrich made 23 separate donations totaling over $400 to ActBlue, Democrats’ online fundraising platform, beginning in 2019, according to Federal Election Commission records reviewed by Breitbart News.

Those payments included multiple donations earmarked for Elizabeth Warren’s failed 2020 presidential campaign, and later, Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign as he faced Donald Trump. Enrich also made multiple donations to Democrat Senate candidates, including Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA).

According to OpenPayrolls, Enrich made over $171,000 working as a USAID Program Manager – 80.2 percent higher than the national average for government employees.

Democrat officials and the mainstream media have lauded Enrich for bringing to light the human costs of reductions in American taxpayer-funded foreign aid.

Sen. Brian Schatz (D-HI), a prominent opponent of Trump’s effort to reach a peace deal in the war between Russia and Ukraine that has ended over one million lives, called the potential deaths caused by a reduction in USAID foreign aid “our worst fears.”

“These new details confirm our worst fears: the illegal and systematic dismantling of USAID will cause real suffering and deaths that are entirely preventable,” he said. (Dems are afraid of the death of their grift that gives them donations)

Ukrainian MP disavows parliament’s ‘appeal to Trump’

A lawmaker who supports Vladimir Zelensky has condemned a conciliatory statement urging continued US aid

Ukrainian MPNikita Poturaev has criticized a parliamentary appeal to US President Donald Trump to maintain military support. He described the English-language statement expressing gratitude to the American leader and endorsing his agenda as misleading.

Multiple media reports have said that Trump has suspended the shipment of US arms this week, following an acrimonious exchange with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky in the Oval Office last Friday. The US president remarked on Monday that anyone undermining his goal of bringing peace to Ukraine “won’t be around for long.” Senior US officials have urged Zelensky to apologize for confronting Trump publicly and demanding immediate security guarantees, which Washington has refused to provide.

While Zelensky has not acknowledged any misstep, a statement late on Monday by the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, adopted a conciliatory tone. Issued on behalf of its leadership and parliamentary committees, it expressed “profound gratitude” for American assistance and emphasized that Ukraine “deeply respects the aspirations of the great American people toward the comprehensive restoration of the United States’ global leadership” and urging Trump to recommit to “unwavering support” for Kiev.

Poturaev astaunch ally of Zelensky who has referred to Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance as “scum playacting hardcore gangsters and racketeers,”rejected the statement in a Facebook post, asserting that parliament “did not address anyone in Washington.”Poturaev heads the Rada’s humanitarian committee, one of the presumed sponsors of the appeal. KEK

By contrast, MP Galina Yanchenko characterized the message as an effort to “build bridges and preserve crucial military aid” from the US. Both lawmakers are members of Zelensky’s Servant of the People party.

Following the verbal clash in the White House, some US officials, including Senator Lindsey Graham, a longtime Ukraine supporter, said that Zelensky should consider stepping down to repair the growing diplomatic rift.

Meanwhile, Zelensky has reaffirmed his position, insisting he intended no offense toward the American government or people. Speaking to Western journalists in London on Sunday, he claimed that his respect was demonstrated by the fact that he spent 23 hours traveling to Washington at Trump’s invitation.

(So I guess Ukraine will get no more funding. I figured the first “support for Trump” was intended to keep the arms and money flowing. There are a lot of haters of Trump in the RADA, not just him. They believe the lie that Trump only responds and wants praise.)

Kremlin calls for lifting of sanctions

The step is necessary to improve US-Russia relations, spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said

Western sanctions against Moscow would have to be lifted to restore relations between the US and Russia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Tuesday.

The comment follows aReuters report on Monday which claimed the US was drawing up a plan to potentially give Russia sanctions relief. Since assuming office, US President Donald Trump has sought to restore ties with Moscow and negotiate a peaceful resolution to the Ukraine conflict.

According to Peskov,Moscow has not yet heard any official statements on the issueand considers the restrictions illegal.

“If we talk about normalizing bilateral relations, they need to be freed from this negative burden of so-called sanctions,” he stressed.

Initially imposed in 2014 following Crimea’s reunification with Russia, US sanctions have been expanded through multiple executive orders and were recently extended for another year through March 6, 2026. According to various estimates, however, the restrictions have largely failed to reach their stated purpose. In 2023, Russia’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 3.6%, according to the national statistical service Rosstat. Last year, the economy grew 4.1%, surpassing the official forecast of 3.9%, as reported by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Last month, Trump held a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, with discussions aimed at resolving the Ukraine conflict and restoring bilateral ties. Subsequently, high-level meetings have taken place in Saudi Arabia and Türkiye between US and Russian officials.

Trump announced last month that he was “trying to do some economic development deals” with Russia, noting its “massive rare earth” deposits. He also signaled that sanctions could be lifted “at some point.”

Moscow said in response that it is open to economic cooperation with Washington, including in energy and mining.

(This does not seem to be a good sign, all negotiations are supposed to happen with the two diplomatic teams, behind doors. Or discussions with Putin.Did Reuters make up a story to get Russia riled up?I wonder if they considered that Trump is already getting attacked and called a Russian stooge?)

Trump and Zelensky should have a sauna – Finnish president

Alexander Stubb has compared the recent falling out between the US and Ukrainian leaders to a marital dispute

US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky should go to a sauna to fix their relationship, Finnish President Alexander Stubb has suggested, likening their recent White House squabble to a dispute between spouses.

Last Friday, Zelensky traveled to Washington to sign a minerals deal with the US. However, his visit was cut short after he was asked to leave the White House after a heated exchange between himself, Trump and US Vice President J.D. Vance. The Ukrainian leader was accused of ungratefulness, disrespecting the Oval Office and “gambling with World War III” by refusing to work towards peace with Russia.

Reacting to the incident in an interview with Bloomberg on Monday, Stubb stated that “it always takes two to tango” and noted that “sometimes in marriage or in other types of relationships, you go into your corner and sulk.”

However, he said that eventually, both sides have to talk, shake hands and move on.

Stubb suggested that to patch things up, Zelensky and Trump should act “Finnish” and “take a deep breath, take a cold bath, a sauna, breathe and come back to the negotiating.

The Finnish president said the way forward is for the two leaders to resume talks and finalize the minerals deal, as this would likely become the “tipping point for a bigger deal towards a ceasefire and then towards peace negotiations.”

Following the White House debacle, Zelensky maintained that he did nothing wrong while Trump accused the Ukrainian leader of not actually wanting peace with Moscow and seeking to exploit US support for his own gain.

According to Fox News, citing an unnamed US official, the White House is now demanding that Zelensky issue a public apology for his demeanor on Friday before resuming negotiations on the rare earths deal.

Meanwhile, several US media outlets have reported that Washington has suspended funding for any new arms sales to Ukraine and is considering freezing weapon shipments to the country from American stockpiles.

Kiev ready to sign minerals agreement with US – PM

Just days ago, Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky left the White House without closing the deal after a heated argument with Donald Trump

Kiev is eager to sign an agreement granting the US the rights to the country’s rare earths in compensation for military assistance during the conflict with Moscow, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmigal has claimed.

Washington expected the deal to be finalized during Vladimir Zelensky’s visit to the White House on Friday, but things went awry when the Ukrainian leader’s meeting with US President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance devolved into a shouting match in front of the media.

Trump told Zelensky during their heated exchange that he could not bargain with Russia to end the conflict without the agreement. “You do not have the cards. But once we sign that deal, you are in a much better position. But you are not acting at all thankful, and that is not a nice thing,” he warned.

Shmigal said during a press conference on Tuesday that authorities in Kiev “are ready to sign the prepared agreement on the establishment of the investment fund” that would hold revenues from the development of Ukraine’s minerals.

“This agreement has been approved by the Ukrainian government. And we are ready at any time to begin this cooperation with the US by signing such an agreement and further develop our economic cooperation,” he said.

Despite the quarrel at the Oval Office, Kiev “will absolutely calmly continue to work with the US, with the US Congress, with the Trump administration and with President Trump himself through all diplomatic channels available to us”to make sure American support for Ukraine remains in place, the Prime Minister assured.

On Sunday, Zelensky said that the natural resources “agreement that is on the table will be signed if the parties are ready.” The Ukrainian leader also said he believed that his relations with Trump could be repaired, but added that he would like their communications to happen behind closed doors from now on.

When asked by journalists on Monday if he thought the minerals agreement between Washington and Kiev was “dead,” Trump replied: “I don’t think so.”

“It is a great deal for us, because you know [former US President Joe] Biden very, very foolishly, stupidly, frankly, gave $300 billion… to a country [Ukraine] to fight and to try and do things. And you know what happened? We get nothing,” he said.

In order to restart negotiations on the deal with the US, Zelensky needs to “express more gratitude” to Washington, the US president stressed. Trump earlier said that the Ukrainian leader would be welcome back to the White House only “when he is ready for peace.”

(I hope Trump never signs it, Zelensky already sold the minerals, and Ukraine is a hellhole to be in business with. Not one of them can be trusted.)
