Anybody old enough to remember when we'd recite the Pledge of Allegiance first thing when we got into the classroom? Whenever they'd do it at Trump rallies, I always wished they's start it like we did in school, by saying,
"Please stand. Put your right hand over your heart. Ready? Begin. I pledge allegiance to the Flag…" I still do it that way, even though it's just me.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. I was SO inspired reciting the Pledge. I would stand up as straight and tall as I could and my heart swelled with gratefulness as I said it with the full power of my voice. It was my favorite part of the whole school day.
