This decision by them actually makes a lot of sense when you realize they fully understand that, if it were challenged up to the SCOTUS at this time it would be the same decision they made, but it would for all intents and purposes, enshrine it forever - or damned near. 2nd amendment + constitution wins. done.

That said, giving this decision at their level now allows another court in another circuit to decide differently and then it to go up to SCOTUS if/when the lefties take it over again - effectively enshrining 'that' and destroying the 2nd.
