scripture has a lot to say

about that anon

Psalm 73: The psalmist expresses envy at the prosperity of the wicked, who seem to thrive despite living against God's commandments. The psalmist is reminded to focus on eternal rewards rather than worldly success.

Job: Job asks why the wicked live on, growing old and increasing in power.

Jeremiah: Jeremiah asks the Lord why the wicked prosper, and why the faithless live at ease.

The prosperity of the wicked can challenge the belief that God rewards the righteous and punishes the wicked. It can also lead to doubt about God's justice.

However, the Bible also says that the wicked's fortune will only endure for the short term. The wicked's sorrows will multiply in the end.
