Since Democrats are in meltdown over the fired Inspectors General, remember that Norm Eisen fired IGs for clearly political reasons under Obama.

Eisen went on MSNBC to attack @realDonaldTrump for something he did.

The Inspector General for the Corporation for National and Community Service (AmeriCorps)Gerald Walpin was fired by Eisen after his tough oversight efforts to hold senior officials accountable for excusing a friend/Obama cronywho mismanaged charter school funds and was sexually inappropriate towards students.

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and the Senate Finance Committee put out a 62 page report, “The Firing of the Inspector General for the CNCS,”outlined how Obama allies and Eisen were able to remove Walpin without a formal review.

The White House Counsel’s Office withheld information from Congress and misled investigators after Rep. Issa and Sen. Grassley questioned the President’s methods and motives for removing Walpin.

There was sizable evidence the removal was motivated by a desire to protect a friend and political ally of the President, Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson. The Inspector General and CNCS management were clashing over an inquiry into misuse of federal grant funds at a charity run by Johnson, including personal services like car washes and pay for political campaign work. The Inspector General was pushing aggressively to require Johnson to repay the federal grant money that his charity could not account for.

Eisen personally delivered an illegal ultimatum to. He demanded that Walpin resign or be terminated within one hour. At the time he delivered the ultimatum, no notice had been provided to Congress as is legally required by the Inspector General Reform Act.

While undergoing Senate Confirmation hearings, Eisen refused to answer questions from Senator Chuck Grassley about the matter and later lied about his conduct. His lies were so blatant he issued an apology to Senator Grassley.

US intel sharing with Ukraine ‘has never been shut off’ – senior official(I heard that too, but it’s not true. I think he meant not completely cut off)

Washington previously said it had suspended cooperation following a dispute between Donald Trump and Vladimir Zelensky last month

The US never suspended intelligence sharing with Ukraine “for anything defensive” that Kiev may require, President Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, has said. The comment appears to be at variance with one made earlier this month by CIA Director John Ratcliffe, who spoke of a “pause.”

Speaking to Fox News on Monday, Witkoff said that his “best understanding” is that the US “never shut off intelligence… for anything defensive that the Ukrainians need.” He added that the issue of intelligence sharing would be “on the discussion list” for a meeting between US National Security Adviser Mike Waltz and Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Ukrainian representatives in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday.

When presssed about US weapons deliveries, Witkoff offered less clarity.

”I think that aid was shut off for a bit of time. I’m really not sure where we are,” he said, redirecting the question to Waltz.

When asked by journalists aboard Air Force One on Sunday if he would consider ending the reported intel pause, Trump replied by saying: “We just about have. I mean, we really just about have.”

On Friday, several media outlets, including The Washington Post and ABC News, cited a statement by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) announcing the suspension of Ukraine’s access to US-funded satellite imagery in line with Trump’s “directive on support to Ukraine.” Maxar, a major US provider of satellite imagery, also confirmed that Ukrainian accounts in the Global Enhanced GEOINT Delivery program had been temporarily suspended.

According to Time magazine, citing Western and Ukrainian officials, the halt in intelligence sharing significantly impacted Ukraine’s military capabilities and led to substantial casualties and territorial losses, particularly in the occupied part of Russia’s Kursk Region. An unnamed source claimed that Washington’s move had resulted in “hundreds of dead Ukrainians.”

Trump’s decision to suspend military aid and intelligence sharing followed a public dispute with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky at the White House in late February. The heated altercation saw Trump criticize his visitor over his lack of gratitude toward the US and accuse him of refusing to seek a peaceful solution with Moscow.

Answering a question on Tuesday about the apparent freeze of US intelligence sharing with Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov expressed cautious optimism, saying that if the US were to suspend aid altogether, it would “probably be the best contribution to the cause of peace.”

(I think Witkoff made a mistake answering that.)

Trump could visit China next month – SCMP

The US president is reportedly interested in hammering out a trade deal

(Remember Trump said he speaks with President Putin and Xi on a regular basis. And Putin has gone to China a couple of times. Put it together)

US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping could meet as early as April to address the escalating trade war and other bilateral issues, the South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported on Monday, citing diplomatic sources.

The first meeting could take place in China, but discussions about the final location are still ongoing, according to the outlet’s sources. Trump has reportedly shown interest in hosting Xi at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, reminiscent of their 2017 meeting. However, Chinese officials favor a more formal setting, either in Beijing or Washington, DC, to underscore the significance of the talks, the SCMP reports.

Since taking office on January 20, Trump has doubled tariffs on all Chinese imports from 10% to 20%, on top of existing duties on thousands of products, citing the need to protect American interests and addressing concerns over trade imbalances. Key sectors affected include steel, aluminum, and various consumer goods.

In response, China has imposed its own tariffs ranging from 10% to 15% on US agricultural products and energy commodities. The Chinese government has also criticized Washington’s approach, with Foreign Minister Wang Yi stating that such policies are bringing the world back to the “law of the jungle.”

In February, Trump indicated that a new trade deal with China is possible and mentioned the prospect of Xi visiting the United States, though no specific timeline was provided.

Trade tensions between the US and China began during Trump’s first term. In 2018, he imposed tariffs on Chinese goods, citing unfair trade practices and intellectual property theft. Beijing responded with retaliatory measures, sparking a cycle of actions that disrupted global markets and supply chains.

Trump demands more than minerals deal from Ukraine – media

The US president reportedly wants Vladimir Zelensky to change his attitude towards peace talks and be ready to step

US President Donald Trump has privately told his aides that a deal granting Washington access to Ukraine’s mineral resources will not be enough for the resumption of American military aid and intelligence sharing with Kiev, NBC reported ahead of negotiations between US and Ukrainian officials in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, scheduled for March 11.

Zelensky was expected to finalize the minerals agreement during his trip to Washington in late February, but his meeting with Trump and US Vice President J.D. Vance devolved into a shouting match in front of the cameras and the signing never happened.

After the argument, Trump, who accused the Ukrainian leader of not wanting peace with Moscow, halted the provision of US military aid and subsequently stopped sharing intelligence data with Kiev. In recent days, Zelensky signaled his willingness to sign the deal and engage in diplomacy.

Trump not only wants the minerals agreement, but also to see a change in Zelensky’s attitude toward peace talks, including a willingness to make concessions such as giving up territory to Russia in order to stop the fighting, the broadcaster relayed on Sunday, citing a member of the administration and another American official.

The US president also believes that Zelensky should move toward holding a presidential election in Ukraine and “possibly toward stepping down as his country’s leader,” the officials told NBC.

Talks between senior US officials and Zelensky’s chief of staff are scheduled to take place in Jeddah on Tuesday. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, National Security Adviser Mike Waltz and Trump’s Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff will discuss a resolution to the three-year conflict with a Ukrainian delegation headed by Andrey Yermak.

Trump told journalists aboard Air Force One on Sunday that “we are going to make a lot of progress” during the upcoming negotiations. He also expressed confidence that Ukraine “will sign the minerals deal” eventually.

The Financial Times reported on Sunday that in Saudi Arabia, the Kiev authorities are planning to propose a partial ceasefire with Moscow, covering long-range drone and missile strikes and combat operations in the Black Sea, in the hope that it will lead to the US reversing its decision to freeze intelligence sharing and weapons deliveries.

Russia, however, has said repeatedly that it won’t accept a temporary ceasefire with Ukraine, insisting that the conflict must be settled through reliable, legally binding agreements that would eliminate its root causes.

Trump angry with King Charles over Zelensky reception – media

(Made up Gossip, Trump would never be this goche, and it wouldn’t have leaked out)

The US president has been feuding with the Ukrainian leader over military aid and peace talks with Russia

US President Donald Trump was irritated by a meeting between Britain’s King Charles III and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, the Daily Mail claimed on Sunday, citing diplomatic sources in Washington. (Of course the gossip papers of the Murdoch’s)

Zelensky met with the king in his Sandringham residence in western England on March 2, just days after the Ukrainian leader’s public spat with Trump in the Oval Office.

“Things definitely went a bit cool in Washington after Sandringham. We told them that the king makes his own decisions about who he meets,”the Daily Mail quoted “a well-placed source” as saying.

People close to Trump reportedly conveyed to UK officials that photos of the king with Zelenskymade him feel “less special” about Charles’ invitation(that’s stupid, the King is not special even to his own people), for a second state visit to Britain. UK officials responded by arguing that it would have been inappropriate for the government to “direct”the king not to meet with Zelensky, according to the Daily Mail.

A UK government spokesman has denied that there has been a row. “We do not recognize these reports. We have been unequivocal about the importance of the US as an ally of the UK,the spokesman said.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer presented a letter from the king to Trump during a meeting in the White House last month. “This is really special. This has never happened before. Unprecedented,” Starmer told the president. Trump has accepted the invitation. In 2019, he conducted a three-day state visit in the UK and met with the late Queen Elizabeth II, as well as with Charles, who was then the heir to the throne.

Trump has accused Zelensky of acting disrespectfully and being ungrateful for American military aid. He further claimed that Zelensky was not willing to make peace with Russia and was sabotaging his efforts to broker a ceasefire.

Last week, Trump halted the deliveries of weapons to Ukraine, saying that Kiev must show more commitment to peace talks.

‘Let Ukraine lose quickly’ – Dutch MP

Kiev and Brussels don’t care about human lives, Marcel de Graaff has claimed

Dutch MP Marcel de Graaff has urged the European Union to halt arms supplies to Ukraine, advocating for the country's swift defeat to save lives in its conflict with Russia. The recent US push for negotiations with Moscow has deepened divisions within the EU regarding the hostilities.

The right-wing politician and former member of the European Parliament (MEP)has previously spoken in support of a de-escalation of the Ukraine conflict, ending all sanctions against Russia, and stopping arms supplies to Kiev.Since 2022, de Graaff has been suspendedfrom his faction in the European Parliament andprobed over alleged Russia ties. The MP has denied the allegations.

In a social media post on Monday, de Graaff again called for an end to military and financial support for Kiev.

“Let Ukraine lose quickly. Stop sending money and weapons,” he wrote on X,arguing that Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky and EU officials do not care about human lives.

The comments came in response to a post by former Dutch Chief of Defense Dick Berlijn, who claimed on Saturday that US President Donald Trump wanted a quick capitulation by Ukraine to be able to do business deals with Russia.

Last month, Washington and Moscow launched diplomatic efforts to resolve the Ukraine conflict and resume economic cooperation. Russia has touted potential joint projects in metals, rare earth mining, and Arctic development.

A recent meeting between Trump and Zelensky descended into a heated argument and ended without the planned signing of a deal involving Ukraine's mineral resources. Following the spat, the US reportedly suspended military aid to Kiev and claimed that Zelensky wasn’t ready for peace.

Washington’s apparent change in policy on the Ukraine conflict has highlighted divisions within the EU. Hungary has advocated for peace negotiations and last week blocked a €20 billion ($21.7 billion) military aid package, arguing that aiding Kiev would “ruin Europe.” Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has claimed that Zelensky wants the conflict to continue because of the financial aid Kiev receives.

France, however, has labelled Russia a “threat” to the bloc and pledged to send additional weapons to Ukraine. EU leaders last week agreed to massively increase defense spending. Some bloc members have claimed that if allowed to win in Ukraine, Russia would go on to attack NATO countries close to its borders.

Moscow has repeatedly denied that it has any intentions of attacking NATO, with President Vladimir Putin dismissing the speculation as “nonsense.” Russian officials have also condemned the EU's militarization, arguing that the bloc’s defense plans are “primarily aimed at Russia” and hinder peace efforts in Ukraine.

Thank God America is not like the EU and Europe, they seem not suited together. Them and their stupid democracy only for the leaders, not the citizens.
