Guys, I might have found something.

Pics related are of the flag Q posted. In Photoshop CS6, if you import the flag onto its own layer, then have a blank white layer beneath it, then set the flag layer blending option to "Vivid Light" (any percent), you'll get the strange pattern shown.

I added some bars to show where the border of the stars would be.

Think there's anything to it?

Yeah, I still get post #381. But if nobody else is, then it's probably b/c of some configuration on my end
