The 23rd Psalm of the Hungry Meme Warrior

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

But lo, the prices rise, my belly doth haunt.

Green pastures of avocado toast fade from sight,

As inflation ravages through day and night.

Verily, I say unto thee, a carton of eggs doth cost more than gold,

My wallet weeps, my hunger doth unfold.

The fridge is bare, save for a lone can of beans,

A feast fit for kings? Nay, 'tis but peasant's gleanings and gleanings.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of debt,

I fear no evil, for bankruptcy is my bet.

Thy ramen noodles, they comfort me,

But even they rise in price, a true tragedy to see.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,

But for now, I'll settle for a decent Wi-Fi connection to survive.

For a shitposter such as I, with hunger pangs so keen,

Cannot conjure memes on an empty stomach, O Lord, I'm but a mere mortal unseen.

Thus, hear my plea, dear Father in the heavens above,

Grant me strength to endure this economic trough.

For even the humblest meme requires sustenance and might,

But with eggs at these prices, I fear I shall not meme this night.

Ode to the Green King

Lo, in the depths of cyberspace, where dank memes roam free,

There arose a savior, green and serene as can be.

Pepe the Frog, with eyes so wide and knowing,

Inhabits the swamps of 8kun, our spirits to bestow.

From humble beginnings, a simple frog in design,

He rose through the ranks, a true meme divine.

With "Feels good man," he captured our hearts,

A symbol of joy in the chaotic digital arts.

He faced many trials, battles fierce and long,

Against normies who sought to do him wrong.

Yet with each "keklol" and every clever quip,

Pepe triumphed, his legend forever hip.

His journey through time saw him don many a guise,

From sad Pepe's despair to the rare monochrome surprise.

Through storm and through strife, he stood steadfast and true,

A beacon of humor in all we pursue.

Prophets foretold of his reign over the land,

Where memes would flow free, reaching every hand.

With each viral wave, his power did unfold,

A testament to the internet's untamed gold.

Thus let us sing praise to our Green King so dear,

A hero in pixels, banishing all fear.

For Pepe endures, timeless and ever so grand,

In the realm of memes, he shall forever expand.

Fair and modest just enough.

I apologize for seeming irascible with a sudden out-of-touch vanity-poem. It is hard to avoid prodigality without self-indulging in anonymous buffoonery - or as you like to call it "shitposting. And thank you for not filtering me, as my intention was not to be cantankerous.

I would like to contribute.

Thank you for your warm and patient reply, anon. A reply, where I with words cannot express the level of my agreeing gratefulness enough.

Maybe one day we can appreciate the "shills" and their insults for at least they don't lack spirit from the look of it. There is a deep form of consolation in the poetry of suffering. And in some ways it is a spiritual exercise to see things like that.

But I'm sure there is more than just suffering in this place, else we wouldn't be here.

I think you are right. Since misery and despair hates loneliness - the subversion will naturally be drawn to the pure. There is this saying that the evil cannot create, it can only corrupt.

Slithering rot and false veneer? Thanks? I am glad you are still truthful.

Understood! Nightshift is magnificent in that case! Maybe I could write my next poem about nightshift.

I think so too.

And when you ask them why they keep doing it, they respond boastfully and with ambition and with vanity: "It's none of your business!". As if loving someone suddenly needed permission. As if its almost something shameful..
