Gemini Sets Guinness World Record with 1,000-Drone Bitcoin Logo Display

March 14, 2025 at 03:04 PDT

Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has set a new Guinness World Record by orchestrating a 1,000-drone aerial display, forming the Bitcoin (BTC) logo in the sky.

This marks the largest-ever currency symbol displayed using drones, the exchange announced in a post on X.

The record-breaking event took place on March 13 in Austin, Texas, as part of Gemini’s celebration of the U.S. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve initiative.

Gemini’s Drone Show Depicts Rocket Launch, Moon Landing, and Bitcoin ₿ Finale

The spectacle featured a series of visuals, including a rocket launch and a moon landing, before culminating in the iconic Bitcoin ₿ logo.

The display was accompanied by a bold message: “Go where dollars won’t.”

Gemini described the event as a celebration of Bitcoin’s role in the future of money, highlighting the increasing global acceptance of the digital currency.

Following the performance, Guinness World Records officially recognized Gemini’s achievement, awarding them a certificate for “The largest aerial display of a currency symbol formed by multirotor drones.”

Since its creation over 16 years ago, Bitcoin’s logo has undergone several transformations.

The original version, designed by Bitcoin’s pseudonymous creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, featured a gold coin with “BC” inscribed in the center.

In 2010, Nakamoto revised the design, replacing “BC” with the now-famous “₿” symbol.

Later that year, a Bitcoin community member known as “bitboy” introduced the final iteration, featuring an orange background with the tilted “₿” symbol—a design that remains widely recognized today.

SEC Drops Investigation into Gemini

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is scaling back its aggressive enforcement actions against the crypto industry, marking a significant shift from its previous stance under former chairman Gary Gensler.

Last week, Gemini co-founder Cameron Winklevoss confirmed that the SEC closed its investigation into the exchange without filing any charges.

This follows the SEC’s dismissal of its probe into Robinhood Crypto on February 21 and its decision to drop its lawsuit against Coinbase.

Additionally, the regulator has announced that it has ended its investigation into Uniswap and will not pursue enforcement action.

Winklevoss pointed out that Gemini’s case lasted 699 days before being dropped, highlighting the drawn-out legal battles the industry has faced.

“This marks another milestone in the end of the war on crypto, which already includes the SEC’s withdrawal of the Coinbase lawsuit and the closing of investigations into OpenSea, Robinhood, and Uniswap,” Winklevoss stated.

However, he also criticized the SEC’s past actions, arguing that while the dismissals are a step forward, they do not undo the damage inflicted on the industry and the broader U.S. crypto ecosystem.

Moscow Targeted by Second Ukrainian Drone Attack in a Week

March 14, 2025

Ukrainian drones targeted Moscow for a second time this week, with city authorities saying early Friday that air defense systems downed four unmanned aircraft near the Russian capital.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said emergency crews were dispatched to areas where debris from the intercepted drones had fallen.

So, too, did Moscow region Governor Andrei Vorobyov confirm that three drones were downed on the eastern outskirts of the capital in the early morning, with no reported injuries.

Photos and videos shared by the Telegram news channel Astra appeared to show damaged apartment buildings and houses in and around Moscow. The images could not be independently verified.

Meanwhile, authorities in southern Russia’s Krasnodar region reported an overnight strike that triggered a large fire at the Tuapse oil refinery, located on the Black Sea coast.

Krasnodar region Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said the flames spread across more than 1,000 square meters but did not cause any injuries.

The refinery is one of Russia’s largest, with an annual processing capacity of 12 million metric tons of oil, according to Andriy Kovalenko, spokesman for Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council's Countering Disinformation Center.

Ukraine has repeatedly targeted Russian energy infrastructure in long-range drone strikes, which it describes as retaliation for Moscow’s missile attacks that have crippled its power grid and left millions without electricity.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said its air defenses intercepted or destroyed 28 Ukrainian drones across six Russian regions overnight, including four over the Moscow region.

The ministry did not mention the attacks in Krasnodar but said one drone had been shot down over the Black Sea.

Separately, the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform, citing sources in Ukraine’s Security Service, reported that drones targeted two gas compressor stations in Russia’s Tambov and Saratov regions, as well as a missile depot for S-300 air defense systems in the Belgorod region.

The attacks “caused significant damage to Russia’s budget, reducing its ability to finance the war in Ukraine and weakening the military potential of the Russian army,” the SBU source was quoted as saying.

Puntland Forces Eliminate Senior ISIS Drone Commander in Counterterrorism Operation

March 14, 2025

Puntland security forces have successfully eliminated a senior Islamic State (ISIS) commander responsible for operating explosive-laden drones used in attacks across the region.

Officials confirmed Thursday that the militant, a foreign national, was killed in a targeted operation in the Lugta-Huraanhur and Togga Raq-raq areas of the Al Miskaad mountains in the Bari region.

According to Puntland security officials, the operation is part of an intensified counterterrorism campaign aimed at disrupting ISIS activities in the area.

Security forces have expanded their presence, forcing ISIS militants to retreat from their strongholds.

The operation came just hours after Puntland forces recovered a fixed-wing drone suspected to have been used by ISIS militants.

The increased use of drones by the group has posed a significant security threat, with militants deploying them to target Puntland forces.

In recent weeks, Puntland’s security forces have ramped up efforts to dismantle extremist factions, including ISIS and Al-Shabaab insurgents, in the rugged mountain terrain where these groups have established bases.

Authorities have vowed to continue their operations to neutralize militant threats and restore stability in the region.

Drones used to sow tree seeds in scheme to restore lost South West rainforests

13th March 2025

Tens of thousands of native tree seeds have been sown by drone as part of efforts to triple the amount of rare rainforest in south-west England.

The Woodland Trust has led the project to sow 75,000 seeds of trees native to Atlantic temperate rainforest, including pedunculate oak, alder, wild cherry, downy birch and hazel, on the hills around Bodmin, Cornwall.

The scheme uses the high-tech drones, which are able to carry 58kg (128lbs) of seeds and hover just a few metres above the ground, to reach places that are inaccessible or difficult to plant by humans.

Atlantic temperate rainforest is one of the UK’s precious habitats.

Native trees festooned in lichen, mosses and ferns provide habitat for a wide array of creatures, including hazel dormice, rare blue ground beetles and other insects, and birds such as redstart and pied flycatcher.

These rainforests once swathed western coasts of Britain, the island of Ireland and the Isle of Man, but have shrunk from about a fifth of land to just 1%, cut down for timber and to make space for agriculture.

They now are found only in fragments that face threats including climate change and invasive species.

The Woodland Trust said the seeding scheme has included developing “control areas” across sites to see what the difference would be in using drones versus natural regeneration of temperate rainforest, and they plan to revisit the sites over the next three years.

The seeds were mixed with wood pellets and sawdust when sown, to give an even spread, but the trust said the technology is advancing so that will not be required in future trials.

It is hoped the approach will achieve a 25% success rate in the number of seeds becoming trees, inspiring investment into refining the effectiveness of drones and the supply of native tree seeds.

The scheme, which had the agreement of multiple landowners, is part of efforts by the newly-formed South West Rainforest Alliance group of partners to triple the amount of temperate rainforest in Devon and Cornwall from 8% today to 24% by 2050.

Sam Manning, who is leading the project for the Woodland Trust, said: “Restoring and expanding our temperate rainforests are vital in solving the climate and biodiversity crises.

“A key part of that is developing new innovative methods of woodland creation which are faster, cheaper and reach currently inaccessible sites which are unsafe for human tree planters, or where the soils are too thin for planting with spades.”

He said drones were potentially much faster and cheaper at dispersing seeds than volunteers, and the technology seeds 11 hectares of land in eight hours.

And he added: “Many potential woodland creation sites are either too steep, unsafe or remote for people to plant or scatter seeds.

“Drones can help solve these issues by removing the safety and accessibility limitations of humans.”

Merlin Hanbury-Tenison, author of a new book on rainforests, Our Oaken Bones, owns some of the land where the seeding has taken place.

He said: “Up to a fifth of the British Isles was once a rainforest landscape but this has been reduced to less than 1% of its original range due to deforestation across the uplands.

“If we’re to reverse this destruction then we will need to leverage innovative technology-enabled solutions wherever possible.”

He said he could not think of a “better example” of using technology than the drone-seeding project by the Woodland Trust.

Mysterious perfectly smooth ‘TicTac UFO’ spotted on MARS in Nasa photos sending alien hunters into frenzy online

Updated: 14:27, 14 Mar 2025

CREEPY new images of the “Tic Tac UFO” have surfaced after it was spotted on Mars - causing alien fans to draw resemblance to the infamous UFO sighting.

The shocking discovery was made by the NASA Mars Curiosity Rover Cam, before the image was posted to Reddit sending space fanatics into a frenzy.

The user said: “A Tic Tac has been spotted on Mars by the NASA Mars Curiosity Rover Mast Cam on Sol 2692 3 March 2020!

“Check out how it’s casting a shadow on the surface!”

Viewers of the post replied, comparing it to the notorious Tic Tac UFO sighting that went viral a few years ago.

One excited alien-head said: “This is exciting because it's a testable prediction. If that thing ain't there when we come back, it's f*g aliens.

“If it is there, we either get high res images of an alien craft or the weirdest rock formation in the solar system.

“Someone tell NASA to get back out there.”

Other fans doubted the existence of a UFO sitting on Mars in this image.

One user said: “I'm a believer but this ain't it. Just a smooth rock. If it were a tic tac UFO it would be tiniest, and why is it there?”

The images showed a perfectly smooth "Tic Tac" shaped object, which due to the shading on the photo, appears to be floating above the surface of Mars

Its colour appears to be a pale white shade, and the user uploaded an AI improved version of the image to provide greater detail.

This caused rampant speculation that this object may be a UFO, floating mid-air, potentially parked on the planet or exploring it too.

It comes after decades of growing UFO speculation, which came to a head in 2023 when the issue was discussed during congressional hearings from ex-military personnel.

Former military official and whistleblower David Grusch shared his testimony in front of the House Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs.

He made bombshell claims about an alleged UFO retrieval program that he said was hidden by the U.S. government.

Other military personnel claimed that they encountered objects in the air which moved in ways they could not understand.

And around this time governments in several different countries such as Mexico revealed “dead alien corpses” which were displayed in Congress.

A groundbreaking report into UFOs was released by NASA in September 2023, in order to improve AI so it can help locate and identify alien life.

Two game changing videos released in 2019 which were reviewed in the report appeared to show three encounters between warplanes and what the navy called “unidentified aerial phenomena”.

The craft was described by one of the pilots mentioned in the report as "solid white, smooth, with no edges… uniformly coloured with no nacelles, pylons or wings", and looked like "an elongated egg or Tic Tac".

Additionally, Commander Dave Fravor and Lt. Commander Alex Dietrich told of their harrowing experience off the coast of San Diego, which was documented in videos from the Navy.

While flying their plane across the ocean, the pair said they witnessed a "Tic Tac" object above white water.

In 2021, a YouTuber spotted a building on Google Earth that he likened to a Tic Tac UFO base.

Strange footage of the site showed a “charging hub” for the pods, which was later believed to have been a Russian military base.

UFOs have also been spotted in the UK, with ex-MoD investigator Nick Pope claiming that "Tic Tac UFO" clips, like the ones in the US, are being hidden by the British government.

Secret US spy plane is tracked making mysterious lap around UFO hotspot

Updated: 11:04 EDT, 14 March 2025

A US military aircraft fitted with sophisticated radar technologies was caught traveling 1,300 miles across the country to a UFO hotspot.

The Boeing E-3B Sentry, dubbed 'America's ultimate spy plane,' left Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma Thursday around 7am ET.

The plane flew off the coast of North Carolina, where it made two circles around Pamlico Sound and returned to base at 2pm ET.

The the bay has been a place for bizarre sightings such as glowing orbs, pulsating white lights and encounters with 'greys.

In 2019, a man captured a video showing 14 glowing orbs hovering above the water while aboard a ferry in Pamlico Sound.

However, there are also military installations in the area.

Sentry primarily takes flight for airborne surveillance, command, and control of air operations, and to detect, identify and track targets in the skies. But the purpose of yesterday's mission is unknown.

The aircraft features a 30-foot-wide rotating radar dome that scans a wide area for threats. The Air Force has 30 Sentry planes in active service, 26 of which are stationed at Tinker.

The eastern coast of North Carolina has had its fair share of UFO claims.

William Guy was out on ferry moving through the Pamlico Sound in September 2019.

Guy, from Indiana, was one of many workers sent to repair damage caused by Hurricane Dorian on Ocracoke Island, The Charlotte Observer reported.

He shared a video of the trip on YouTube, capturing more than a dozen circular lights in the sky. 'Anybody tell me what that is?'

Guy says in the 31-second video. 'We're in the middle of the ocean, on a ferry, nothing around. Look. Nothing around. No land, no nothing.' Other passengers on the ferry can be heard marveling at the sight.

'A lot of people I have talked to here on the island said it was flares, but they also said they have never seen anything like what I captured,' Guy shared in the video caption.

And one year later, a tugboat operator reported seeing a pulsating white light over Pamlico Sound that emitted a smaller light moving at high speed before disappearing.

He shared the experience on the National UFO Reporting Center, saying: 'I brought the light to the attention of another crew member and we watched it for about 10 minutes before it just disappeared.

'The light stemmed to pulsate getting dim then bright. For a few seconds it turned green. The objective was stationary the entire time.'

Along the shore of Pamlico Sound is the town Oriental where Sev Tok claimed she 'came face-to-face' with an alien.

'They're what we call The Greys, the small ones with the big eyes,' Tok told Greenville's WNCT in 2023.

'I was paralyzed on this bed and I was lying on my side and I could feel there was something behind me. When I moved my head and turned around, there was a Grey standing behind me doing something to my back.'

This area is also home to military installations like Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point and Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, which many people believe are associated with the strange sightings.

But Sentry did not land while circling the coast. It made two trips around Pamlico Sound and headed back to Oklahoma.

Engineering, testing and evaluation began on the first E-3 Sentry in October 1975.

In March 1977 the 552nd Airborne Warning and Control Wing (now 552nd Air Control Wing), received the first E-3s.

NATO also has 17 planes, the UK has seve, France has four and Saudi Arabia has five.

Sentry boasts navigation, communications, sensors (radar and passive detection) and identification tools, along with interior consoles that display computer-processed data in graphic and tabular format on video screens.

'Mission crew members perform surveillance, identification, weapons control, battle management and communications functions,' according to the Air Force.

The radar and computer systems are capable of gathering detailed battlefield information.

'This includes position and tracking information on enemy aircraft and ships, and location and status of friendly aircraft and naval vessels,' the Air Force shard.

'The information can be sent to major command and control centers in rear areas or aboard ships. In time of crisis, this data can also be forwarded to the president and secretary of defense.'

Eye-Opening UFO Sightings In New Jersey For 2025

March 13, 2025

There have been a good number of UFO sightings in New Jersey already in 2025, and here are some of those reports.

Recent studies have revealed that over 40% of Americans believe in UFOs, and nearly two-thirds say intelligent life exists on other planets.

New Jersey Has Had Numerous UFO Reports In 2025

And in the first 10 weeks of 2025, there have been reports of UFOs coming from New Jersey residents that caught our eye.

Take, for example, the one reported to the National UFO Reporting Center from Toms River on January 10, 2025,

A shiny object seen in the sky in broad daylight, traveling slowly and and appearing to change shape

That is only one of 10 reports this year in New Jersey, so we're averaging approximately one per week in the Garden State.

Here's another one from Somers Point that was seen on February 13th,

We were chilling in the parking lot and I looked up and seen the uaps in a inverted triangular formation

One of the more chilling ones recently reported came out of Paterson on January 23rd, and here's what the witness said,

I saw the unknown craft pass over my house then I waited and grabbed my phone and it circled back over my house again so I recorded it.

To get more info and these and other sightings, you can check out the National UFO Reporting Center website.

Here's another eyewitness account of a UFO sighting on New Year's Day in Evesham,

Noticed strange light that wasn't moving for over 2 weeks. Tonight 3 of us saw it. This time it flew across the sky.
