Ezra Pound was a tragic man that did a lot of good for modern poetry/literature, more as a promoter of his peers than through his own work, which he was never amble to bring to greatness.
But when it came to economics and politics he was rather a simpleton. He put all his faith in Mussolini, who turned out to be nothing but a corrupt goon. And he would wave around a "scrip" from his grandfather's factory system that made the workers dependent on the factory, and he somehow thought this would fix the world.. Simpleton, like I said. Ended up jailed by US gov, then institutionalized after wwii. Late in life, he stopped talking almost entirely. A good heart, but flawed in many ways.
No idea what he is supposed to be doing in notables.
But since this board is an intentional mess, I'm not surprised.
