You would never be able to successfully prosecute one of these out of control judges for treason or any similar offense for their ridiculous rulings, even the judge who wanted the flight turned around. The remedy is impeachment, unless it could be proved that they committed a crime related to coming to their decision, for example, being bribed or perhaps taking orders directly from a foreign nation. Issuing insane rulings, even outside of their judicial jurisdiction, would not on their own be enough to secure a conviction for sedition or treason.
