DEVELOPING: CIA Headquarters on Lockdown After Man with Gun Fires Shots
A large police response was seen outside Central Intelligence Agency headquarters in McLean on Wednesday morning. Roads in the area are shut down to traffic due to the police presence.
According to the Fairfax County Police Department, authorities are responding to reports of an armed man experiencing a mental health crisis on CIA property just outside headquarters.
Fairfax County Police are providing crisis negotiators and other support to CIA Police, who are leading the investigation. Additional details have not been made public.
As of 11:25 a.m., Dolly Madison Boulevard is shut down in both directions between Georgetown Pike and Savile Lane. Drivers are asked to avoid the area and find alternate routs if possible. Those in the area should follow police direction.

Biden-Appointed LGBT Judge Blocks Trump's Military-Transgender Ban
A federal judge on Tuesday evening issued a preliminary injunction that stops the Trump administration from enforcing its ban on transgender people serving in the US military. Under the sternly-worded opinion issued by US District Judge Ana C. Reyes, transgenders can continue serving while the lawsuit challenging the ban proceeds. The injunction springs from Reyes' conclusion that the transgender plaintiffs are likely to prevail on the merits, and face irreparable harm in the interim.
Reyes, a Biden nominee who was heralded as the first openly lesbian and first Latina district judge in DC, said the ban was based on un-evidenced claims that people diagnosed with gender dysphoria were unfit to serve, and that “the law does not demand that the Court rubber-stamp illogical judgments based on conjecture.” Flashing her woke-leftist credentials, Reyes' included a gratuitous quote from the musical Hamilton in her 79-page opinion.
Reyes was clearly ruffled by the pointed language used by Trump and the Department of Defense in regard to transgenders. "The Military Ban is soaked in animus and dripping with pretext. Its language is unabashedly demeaning, its policy stigmatizes transgender persons as inherently unfit, and its conclusions bear no relation to fact," wrote Reyes.
In Trump's Jan 26 executive order, he declared:
"Expressing a false 'gender identity' divergent from an individual’s sex cannot satisfy the rigorous standards necessary for military service…A man’s assertion that he is a woman, and his requirement that others honor this falsehood, is not consistent with the humility and selflessness required of a service member."

Elon Musk-hating hackers have doxxed Tesla owners in the United States, releasing an interactive map showing their names, addresses, phone numbers and emails.
The disturbing website, called DOGEQUEST, also provides the locations of every Tesla showroom, charging station and the known residences of Department of Government Efficiency employees.
It even lists FBI Director Kash Patel's home and uses a symbol of a Molotov cocktail as its cursor.
The site's operators said they will only remove identifying information about Tesla drivers if they provide proof that they sold their electric vehicle amid a national boycott of the car maker.
It is unclear where the hacker got the information about the Tesla owners, but it has caused a lot of concern - with Musk labeling it 'extreme domestic terrorism.'
'Encouraging destruction of Teslas throughout the country is extreme domestic terrorism!!' he wrote on X Tuesday night.
The website says it 'neither endorses nor condemns any actions.'

Additional Israeli Strikes Hit Southern, Central Syria (Videos)
Additional Israeli strikes targeted the southern and central regions of Syria on March 18, resulting in material losses only.
In the afternoon, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) claimed responsibility for several strikes that hit the town of Khan Arnabeh in the southern Syrian governorate of al-Qunitra. In a brief statement, the military said that it had struck artillery systems located just outside the buffer zone along the Israel-Syria border.
The IDF alleged systems had posed a threat to Israel, and warned that it “will not allow the existence of a military threat in southern Syria and will act against it.”
Later in the evening, another wave of Israeli strikes targeted bases of the former Syrian Arab Army in the central governorate of Homs.
The strikes, which were not officially claimed by the IDF, hit bases in the towns of Shinshar and Shamsin in the southern Homs countryside, according to Reuters. No casualties were reported.
Following the fall of the Assad regime last December, the IDF invaded the buffer zone adjacent to the Golan Heights in al-Quneitra and established nine posts there, including two atop the strategic Mount Hermon. The military also launched hundreds of strikes against the country, destroying much of its combat capabilities.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said last month that southern Syria must be completely demilitarized, warning that Israel would not accept the presence of the forces of Syria’s Islamist government near its territory.
The recent days saw an uptake in Israeli strikes on Syria, with at least four killed in an attack that targeted bases in the southern governorate of Daraa on March 17.

The Trump administration’s effort to deport a Columbia University graduate student, Mahmoud Khalil, in retaliation for Khalil’s role in campus protests opposing Israel’s war in Gaza, showed the lengths the White House is prepared to go to police speech about Israel.
The administration’s unprecedented decision to seek the deportation of a U.S. permanent resident without bringing any criminal charges has an overlooked ally, however: the largest financier of Trump’s three presidential campaigns, Israeli-American billionaire Miriam Adelson.
Adelson’s support for the administration’s campaign to stifle criticism of Israel on college campuses isn’t a new focus but her alignment with the levers of state powers to implement her vision are unprecedented. In fact, tax documents reveal that she is directly overseeing a social media campaign targeting Khalil and Columbia University.
In 2015, Adelson, alongside her husband Sheldon, who died in 2021, funded the newly formed Maccabee Task Force (MTF) with $2.28 million, according to IRS filings from the couple’s foundation. MTF claims to “combat the disturbing spread of Antisemitism on college campuses” but in practice spends much of its efforts attacking the boycott, divest and sanctions campaign against Israel, which MTF characterizes as “an Antisemitic movement that crosses the line from legitimate criticism of Israel into the dangerous demonization of Israel and its supporters.”
The Adelsons’ support for the group has ballooned since 2015, totalling nearly $70 million in funds flowing from the couple’s family foundation to MTF between 2016 and 2023.
At the same time, the couple served as the largest donors to Trump’s presidential campaigns and to the Republican Party, sending approximately $600 million in reported political contributions to support Trump’s three presidential campaigns as well as other Republican congressional and gubernatorial races since 2015.
Trump’s decision to target Khalil wades into murky waters. His attempt to deport a U.S. permanent resident for protesting Israel’s war in Gaza is polarizing and raises questions about why the president is so determined to protect the largest recipient of U.S. foreign assistance — a recipient of U.S. tax dollars proven exempt from Trump’s blitz against foreign aid — from criticism on college campuses. But one doesn’t have to look far to see he has an ally in this fight.
While Maccabee Task Force’s website makes no mention of Miriam Adelson, the group’s most recent IRS filing reveals she is far more than just its major funder. The Israeli-American billionaire is also MTF’s president. And under her leadership the group — with its sizable social media presence, particularly on Facebook where it has over 317,000 followers — came out swinging against Khalil and Columbia University with vitriolic and profane attacks.
