I'm feeding 4 squirrels, 2 juveniles. You can tell them apart by the width of their tail. The young ones are more skittish but they are very happy with being food.
Being fed. The hawk doesn't care for them. It prefers rats. The hawk lands on a rat, it goes "squeak" and that's that. So I feed that hawk… the rabbits come up every 3 months, so I feed owls too
Most interesting is that the crows watch me feed the birds. Winter: they are hungry, some come to me. The crows live a long time, very smart, work together. They remember me and don't shit on my car..
