Erdogan Arrests Dozen Over Social Media Posts As Hundreds Of Thousands Protest Imamoglu Arrest

Continuing its remarkable parallels with its "developed" yet fascist European and UK neighbors, where a twitter post is enough to get your house raided and land you in jail, overnight Turkish authorities said they arrested 37 people over social media posts criticizing the contentious detention of Istanbul’s popular mayor, Ekrem Imamoglu, which triggered a market meltdown as we described.

Police identified 261 “suspicious account managers,” Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said in a post on X on Thursday.

The suspects made “provocative statements” on social media platforms, Yerlikaya said, accusing them of inciting hatred and provoking people to commit crimes. Cybersecurity forces continue conducting “virtual patrols” around the clock, he said.

Turkey also restricted access to major social media platforms and WhatsApp after Imamoglu’s detention, internet-monitoring group Netblocks said. Some users were still reporting problems accessing the platforms on Thursday. The Turkish government has restricted access to popular social media platforms in the past, including during terror incidents and major natural disasters, mostly citing security reasons.

The country’s internet regulator has the authority to slash bandwidth under several conditions and social media platforms are subject to a long list of rules. The government’s tighter grip over the platforms has worried human rights organizations, opposition politicians and other critics, who say it diminishes freedom of expression.

As reported yesterday, Imamoglu, who is viewed as the main rival to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in elections scheduled for 2028 was taken into custody early Wednesday, along with dozens of others, on corruption charges. Prosecutors accused Imamoglu, from the secular Republican People’s Party (CHP), of corruption and aiding a terrorist group, calling him a “criminal organization leader suspect”. He denounced the move as politically-motivated just as he was preparing to formally announce his intention to run.

Late Wednesday, a local court also ordered the seizure of Imamoglu Insaat Ticaret ve Sanayi AS, the construction company where the mayor is a partner.

Imamoglu said online “the will of the people cannot be silenced” as thousands gathered to protest in Istanbul.

Greenpeace Ordered To Pay Over $660 Million For Defaming Oil Company

A North Dakota jury has ruled that Greenpeace must pay more than $660 million in damages to Dallas-based oil and gas company Energy Transfer, finding the environmental group liable for defamation and other claims related to protests against the Dakota Access pipeline.

The nine-person jury delivered its verdict on March 19 in a lawsuit brought by Energy Transfer Partners, which sought hundreds of millions in damages from Greenpeace. The case stemmed from the 2016–2017 protests against the pipeline’s Missouri River crossing, located upstream of a tribal reservation.

The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe has long opposed the project, citing risks to its water supply and sacred burial grounds.

The lawsuit cited Greenpeace’s claims that Energy Transfer desecrated burial grounds and culturally significant sites during construction, as well as assertions that the pipeline would “catastrophically alter the climate.” Cox countered that the company had made 140 route adjustments to protect sacred sites and said Energy Transfer was committed to being “a good corporate citizen in North Dakota.”

Energy Transfer accused Greenpeace International and Greenpeace USA of acts including defamation, trespass, nuisance, and civil conspiracy. During the trial, which began in late February 2025, the company’s attorney, Trey Cox, argued that Greenpeace funded and organized protesters, provided blockade supplies, conducted training sessions, and spread misinformation to block the pipeline’s construction.

Greenpeace attorneys rejected the allegations, stating there was no evidence linking the organization to the disruptions caused by the protesters. They argued the lawsuit was an attempt to silence activism through financial and legal intimidation.

“Beyond the impact that this lawsuit could have on the Greenpeace entities, one of the most worrisome things about the case is that it could establish dangerous new legal precedents that could hold any participant at protests responsible for the actions of others at those protests,” Deepa Padmanabha, Greenpeace USA senior legal advisor, said in a Feb. 24 statement.

15+ Conservatives Targeted by Swatting Attacks in 1 Week

A series of swatting incidents targeting conservative commentators and journalists have transpired nearly every evening since March 11, according to X posts in which the victims shared video surveillance footage and photos of the events, sparking questions as to who is engaging in what Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) called “domestic terrorism and attempted murder.” FBI Director Kash Patel, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem have also reacted to the wave of dangerous crimes.

The term “swatting” refers to an anonymous attacker targets someone by making a false call to emergency services — using anonymous tools like Google Voice or VPNs to make it appear the call is coming from a certain location — and telling authorities a murder or hostage event is transpiring at a particular address. Swatting is designed to prompt SWAT teams to arrive at the targeted home and descend on unsuspecting victims, which in the past has lead to deadly encounters and murder charges for the offender.

At the time of this writing, at least 15 figures in conservative politics and media have reported being swatted within the course of one week.

The string of swatting incidents seemingly began on the evening of March 11, with InfoWars reporter Chase Geiser revealing in an early morning March 12 X post that six to eight “police officers used a PA system to call me by name and order me to walk out of my house.”

“I was handcuffed in the middle of the street, presumably at gunpoint, though I couldn’t tell because of the light being shined on my face,” Geiser recalled. “I was then led into the house where my wife was woken up and we were informed that they received a call from someone pretending to be me and threatening to kill my family.”

ICE Arrests Indian Student for Alleged Hamas Connections.

A Georgetown University doctoral student from India has been taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) following allegations of spreading propaganda in support of the Hamas terrorist group. The student, identified as Badar Khan Suri, was accused of using social media platforms to promote antisemitic content and was reportedly linked to a senior advisor associated with Hamas, according to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials.

Suri’s activities led to a determination by Secretary of State Marco Rubio that his presence in the United States posed significant foreign policy threats. Under the Immigration and Nationality Act, a lesser-known legal provision allows for the deportation of individuals deemed harmful to U.S. interests. This same statute was referenced in the recent arrest of Mahmoud Khalil, a former student and pro-Hamas activist at Columbia University, who remains in detention but is contesting the decision in court.

The Georgetown University graduate student is in the United States on a visa to conduct research. According to the school, Suri’s academic studies focused on peacebuilding in conflict zones such as Iraq and Afghanistan. A representative for the elite, Washington, D.C.-based university, stated that the school was unaware of Suri having participated in any illicit activities, nor has the institution been formally informed of the specific actions prompting his detention.

As confirmed by his legal counsel, Suri is currently being held in Alexandria, Louisiana, pending immigration court proceedings.

In fact, Russia’s global arms exports declined by 64% from 2020 to 2024, and China’s fell by 5.4%, whereas those of the US grew by 21%.

There were also large increases in weapons exports during this five-year period in Italy (+138%), Spain (+29%), France (+11%), and South Korea (+4.9%).

This is according to data compiled by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).

Covid Vaccine Damage Consultants Paid Millions More Than Victims

Consultants assessing Covid vaccine damage claims on behalf of the NHS have been paid millions more than the victims, it has emerged. The Telegraph has more.

Freedom of Information requests made by the Telegraph show that US-based Crawford and Company has carried out nearly 13,000 medical assessments, but dismissed more than 98% of cases.

Just 203 claimants have been notified they are entitled to a one-off payment of £120,000 through the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme (VDPS) amounting to £24,360,000. Yet Crawford and Company has received £27,264,896 for its services.

The VDPS is run by the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) but it has been criticised for a lack of transparency regarding how claims are assessed.

Prof Richard Goldberg, Chairman in Law at Durham University, with a special interest in vaccine liability and compensation, said: “The idea that this would be farmed out to a private company to make a determination is very odd. It’s taxpayers money and money is tight at the moment.

“The lack of transparency is not helpful and there is a terrible sense of secrecy about all of this. One gets the sense that their main objective is for these cases not to succeed.

“There are no stats available so we don’t know the details about how these claims are being decided or whether previous judgements are being taken into account. They just trot out the same old line that they will examine the medical and epidemiological research and current medical consensus.”

He added: “What we want is people who are entitled to compensation to get it, and I’m not saying everyone deserves compensation. But the vast majority of cases are knocked out on causation grounds and I believe that there is a need for rigorous criteria to determine causation, as well as a system that is fair and accessible.”

Crawford and Company, which is based in Atlanta, Georgia, is one of the world’s largest claims management and loss adjustment companies with offices in 70 countries.

However, it has faced public criticism. Reviews on sites such as Trustpilot and Glassdoor accuse the company of unfair claim denials, dismissal of medical evidence and a lack of transparency. The company has a 1.4 star ranking on Trustpilot.

The Hart (Health Advisory and Recovery Team) group, which was set up by medical professionals and scientists during the pandemic, has warned that Crawford and Company has a “troubling reputation with numerous reports of mismanagement and claims denials across various sectors”.

Since the VDPS was founded in 1979 it has had about 16,000 applications, but the Covid jab has made up the vast majority of claims.

Payments have been awarded for conditions related to the Covid jab including stroke, heart attack, dangerous blood clots, inflammation of the spinal cord, excessive swelling of the vaccinated limb and facial paralysis.

Israel Police use extreme force against protesters, punch and kick demonstrators

Democrats party head Yair Golan was thrown to the ground by a police officer at a protest outside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Aza Street home.

Large protests for the hostages and against the firing of Shin Bet (Israel Security Intelligence) head Ronen Bar in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv this week were marked by intense use of police force, including officers punching and kicking protesters and violent dispersals of groups.

Police responded to a request for comment, saying officers acted within their authority to disperse protesters who were disrupting public order and working to get around police barricades.

Documentation from protests on Wednesday and Thursday shows police officers throwing protesters to the ground, dragging them on the ground, and pushing them into each other.

One video from Wednesday shared by Violence Israel, an organization that documents violence at protests, shows a group of police officers surrounding a protester lying on the ground, with one of the officers pressing his knee into the man’s neck.

In another video, a man with blood pouring down his face said that he was beaten by police after calling them “criminals in uniforms.”

Federal Judges Are Trampling Court Rules To Obstruct Trumps Agenda, Expert Says

Federal judges are violating the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure in their rush to stop a series of executive actions taken by the Trump administration on immigration, government reform, and other issues.

District court judges are repeatedly failing to abide by Rule 65(c) which requires parties seeking an injunction to post a bond before an injunction can be issued, according to American Path Initiative senior legal fellow Daniel Huff. Huff, who served as a lawyer in the Trump White House and for the House and Senate Judiciary committees, said that without the security of the bond, the judges are ripping off taxpayers whose money is then tied up in legal wrangling.

Last week, two federal judges in separate opinions ordered the Trump administration to reinstate nearly 25,000 probationary employees recently fired from the government.

“Now, if you have to reinstate 25,000 people, you’re paying them salaries, you’re paying them benefits. The loaded wage there is on average maybe $100,000,” Huff said in an interview with The Daily Wire. “Essentially, what you’re creating here is a requirement that the government spend, on a per month basis, something like $100 to $200 million to reinstate these people. That’s a huge cost.”

“What if it turns out, as it likely will, that the Supreme Court agrees that the government had the authority to fire these probationary workers? How does the taxpayer get our money back?” Huff continued. “The answer is that the people who are seeking the injunction are supposed to post money up front in case it turns out that the government had authority to act.

Rule 65(c) is supposed to be a hurdle to filing “frivolous cases,” according to Huff. The rule compels plaintiffs to put up a security that should scale alongside the size and cost of the complaint.

“This makes a lot of sense because it filters out bad cases. You’re not going to post that bond as a plaintiff unless you really think you’re going to win,” Huff said. “But it’s not being done here. These judges are not following the law. They are not. They’re issuing injunctions without bonds, and that is a clear and unambiguous violation of the laws that govern them.”

Huff said that the abuse of federal rules around bonds has been a pattern across federal judges issuing injunctions against the Trump administration. The injunctions have been sweeping actions that stand to cost taxpayers into the hundreds of millions of dollars.

The injunctions have roiled critics within the administration and others on the right. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has called for Congress to strip those judges of their jurisdictions. Tech titan Elon Musk has said those judges should be removed from office.

Huff expressed doubt about the viability of those tactics. He said that the makeup of Congress, with Republicans not having enough votes to overcome a 60-vote threshold in the Senate, makes each suggestion practically impossible without Democratic support.

Along Huff’s line of thinking, the White House issued guidance to federal agencies last week advising them to push federal judges issuing injunctions on Rule 65(c).

“Consistent with applicable law, the heads of executive departments and agencies (agencies), in consultation with the Attorney General, are directed to ensure that their respective agencies properly request under Rule 65(c) that Federal district courts require plaintiffs to post security equal to the Federal Government’s potential costs and damages from a wrongly issued injunction,” the memo says. “The scope of this directive covers all lawsuits filed against the Federal Government seeking an injunction where agencies can show expected monetary damages or costs from the requested preliminary relief, unless extraordinary circumstances justify an exception.”

Large Israeli Force Demolishes Military Posts In Southern Syria (Photos)

A large armored unit of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) advanced in southern Syria on March 19 and demolished several positions of the now dissolved Syrian Arab Army.

According to Daraa 24, a news blog that covers southern Syria, the unit, made up of some 50 vehicles, moved into the outskirts of the town of al-Nasriyah, which is located right along the administrative borders between the governorates of al-Qunitra and Daraa.

Photos shared by the blog showed Merkava main battle tanks and Humvee armored vehicles operating on a road leading to al-Nasriyah.

The unit demolished three military positions, Abu Diab Company, Cobra Company and Nasiriyah Dam Company, before withdrawing back to the buffer zone adjacent to the occupied Golan Heights.

Israel Doesn’t Care About the Captives. It Always Planned to Reboot the Genocide

What excuses has Israel given for renewing the genocide:

1. Israel says it is trying to force Hamas to release the captives in Gaza.

Yet, as we know from those already released, the indiscriminate bombing of Gaza only increases the chances the captives will be killed. There is no plausible scenario in which dropping US-supplied 2,000lb bombs across Gaza makes any Israeli held in the enclave safer or brings them home sooner.

In any case, there was a known and easy way for Israel to get the last of the captives back. They were due to be freed in the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, already well past its implementation date. But weeks ago Israel decided to tear up the agreement it had signed and impose new terms in which the rest of the captives would have to be returned – and without Israel either ceasing its fire or withdrawing from the enclave, as it had agreed to do.

What Israel’s return to genocide shows is that the Israeli government would rather kill the remaining captives – vaporising them with Trump’s latest shipment of 2,000lb bombs – than either make a concession to secure their release or place any limitation on its ability to slaughter the people of Gaza.

1. Israel claims Hamas was re-arming and planning a new attack.

As ever, Israel is inverting the truth. It was Israel that was re-armed by the Trump administration with the bombs now tearing apart Gaza’s children. Hamas – isolated from the outside world – had no obvious route to re-arming.

And as for plans for another October 7, both Hamas and the world were shocked its fighters managed to break out of the tiny, besieged territory of Gaza the first time. Hamas assumed it would be a suicide mission. It succeeded only because Israel had grown so complacent in its 17-year siege of the enclave, it imagined the 2.3 million people there were permanently entombed.

Israel’s assumption was the Palestinians would never manage to find a way out of the giant concentration camp Israel had built for them. Israel will not likely drop its guard again any time soon.

In other words, Israel is flat-out lying about its reasons for renewing the slaughter. It is lying as it has done over and over again, throughout the past 18 months.

Israel always intended to reboot the genocide as soon as the Trump administration had been able to take credit for negotiating the ceasefire. Then they could work together to concoct a new set of pretexts – based on lies about who was violating the ceasefire – to justify why more of Gaza’s children needed to be murdered.

Certainly, Joe Biden and his officials must be put on trial in the Hague for the first 15 months of the genocide. But it is Trump and his administration that are responsible for every Palestinian death from here on out.

France issues its citizens with an invasion guide - including how to survive a nuclear attack - after Macron warned Europe must prepare for war

France is set to issue a survival manual to households across the country, warning citizens how to respond to an invasion or any other 'imminent threat'.

The dramatic move comes as tensions rise in Europe and fears grow over Russia's aggressive tactics.

The new 20-page booklet, reportedly packed with 63 measures, will advise the French on how to protect themselves and their families in the event of armed conflict, natural disasters, industrial accidents or even a nuclear leak.

It will include tips on how to create a 'survival kit' with essentials including six litres of water, canned food, batteries, a torch and basic medical supplies such as paracetamol and bandages.

Crucially, it will offer advice on what to do if an attack is imminent, including how to join local defence efforts, such as signing up for reserve units or firefighting groups.

Citizens will also be told to 'lock their doors' in the event of a nuclear incident - advice that has already drawn ridicule from commentators.

Despite the alarming content, the French government insists the booklet is not a direct response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

President Emmanuel Macron has previously warned that Europe must be prepared to confront the 'Russian threat' and adapt to the possibility that America could scale back its military support.

Death toll from Israel’s renewed offensive on Gaza rises to 970

Gaza’s health ministry says Israel’s renewed savagery has led to the massacre of at least 970 people in 48 hours.

The wave of deadly airstrikes that shattered a fragile ceasefire in Gaza on Tuesday has so far claimed the lives of at least 970 people across the besieged territory, the health ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

Before the resumption of the offensive, the death toll from the regime’s 15 months of genocidal war recorded by the ministry at midday on March 17 stood at 48,577.

By midday on Wednesday, the figure had risen to 49,547, the ministry said.

The health ministry also registered “one death and five severe injuries among foreign staff working for UN institutions.”

It said Israel attacked a UN headquarters in Deir el-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, on Wednesday.

The victims had been taken to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, the health ministry said.

Israel’s military denied attacking a UN building in Gaza.

The UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS) confirmed the death of one of its staff by an explosive that was “dropped or fired” on its building in Deir el-Balah.

“An explosive ordnance was dropped or fired at the infrastructure and detonated inside the building,” it said, adding that five others were injured.

UNOPS Executive Director Jorge Moreira da Silva said he was “shocked and devastated” by the death of a staff member.

“This was not an accident.” he said, adding that “attacks against humanitarian premises are a breach of international law.”

Bulgaria’s foreign ministry said later in the day that one of its citizens working for the United Nations was killed in Gaza, without specifying where in the territory.

Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel threatened on Tuesday that the massacre of women and children in Gaza was “only the beginning.” He stands accused of committing war crimes and ethnic cleansing in Gaza.
