Canada's Largest Tesla Showroom Hit By Attack, 80 Vehicles Damaged By Rogue Leftists

The wave of terrorism fueled by far-left groups aligned with the Democratic Party has spread internationally and is potentially linked to another incident in which dozens of Teslas were damaged at a showroom in Ontario, Canada, this week.

Canadian news channel CP24 reports that 80 Tesla vehicles in Hamilton, Ontario, were vandalized at Canada's largest Tesla Service Center at CF Lime Ridge Mall, 999 Upper Wentworth Street.

Hamilton police say they are investigating a "series of mischiefs" after dozens of Tesla vehicles were damaged at a local dealership this week.

According to police, officers were called to a Tesla dealership, located at 999 Upper Wentworth Street, on Wednesday for a report of damage to some of the store's inventory.

Police arrived to discover that "upwards of 80" Tesla vehicles parked outside had sustained damage, including deep scratches and punctured tires.

"Police are currently reviewing CCTV camera footage and are asking the public for their assistance in solving this crime," investigators said in a news release issued Thursday.

While this is the largest incident of vandalism involving Tesla vehicles, it's far from the first. In recent weeks, Teslas have increasingly become targets of vandalism and attacks. One of the most significant incidents occurred in Nanaimo, British Columbia where a Tesla Supercharger station was deliberately set on fire last week.

A similarly shocking event took place in London, Ontario, just a few days later when a Tesla Model S was intentionally set on fire at CF Masonville Mall.

Yesterday, climate activists targeted a Tesla store in Montreal, spray painting the facade of the building in a protest against Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

The United States and Israel will hold high-level talks on Iran's nuclear program at the White House early next week, a person familiar with the matter said on Thursday.

The planned meeting follows U.S. President Donald Trump's letter to Iran's leadership earlier this month in which he warned Tehran it had the choice of either striking a nuclear deal with the U.S. or facing possible military action.

The Israeli delegation will be led by strategic affairs minister Ron Dermer and national security adviser Tzachi Hanegbi and will meet with senior Trump advisers, the Washington-based source told Reuters.

The two teams are expected to discuss the potential for U.S.-Iran nuclear talks and regional issues related to Tehran, the source said, speaking on condition of anonymity. Axios was first to report on the scheduled meeting in Washington.

Trump said he sent the letter to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran's fiercely anti-Western Supreme Leader, who responded that Tehran would not be bullied into negotiations.

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on Thursday that Tehran will consider the "opportunities" as well as the threats in Trump's letter.

Former Israeli Supreme Court Chief Justice Aharon Barak warned that Israel is at risk of descending into civil war, as the government is expected to approve the dismissal of Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar. Bar’s potential ouster comes as the security agency investigates the so-called “Qatar-Gate” affair, in which members of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office are reportedly involved.

“The main issue facing Israeli society is the ‘eighth front’—the deep rift among Israelis themselves. This divide is worsening, and I fear it will be like a train going off the rails, spiraling into an abyss and leading to civil war,” Barak said in an interview with Ynetnews

Barak, who previously served as attorney general, has recently explored the possibility of a plea deal in Netanyahu’s corruption cases. “I believe an agreement can be reached,” he said. Calls for compromise

Barak urged all sides to seek consensus, lamenting that Israeli society no longer values compromise but instead resorts to force. “The Knesset says, ‘We are a coalition of 64, so we can fire the head of the Shin Bet, dismiss the attorney general, and appoint a politically affiliated judicial ombudsman.’ This must stop. We must also end the culture of political boycotts, as happened in Israel’s early years when Mapai ostracized Herut and the Communist Party. Today, they are targeting Supreme Court President Yitzhak Amit,” he said. Barak called for renewed efforts toward compromise, pointing to President Isaac Herzog’s proposal to establish a state commission of inquiry.

Regarding the potential dismissal of Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, Barak said it does not meet the conditions set by the Shamgar Commission. “She has performed her duties excellently, approving most government actions and rejecting only a few. Her dismissal would harm a key watchdog and make it harder for future officials to do their jobs. It would ultimately hurt every citizen,” he said.

Alex Karp, the CEO of the controversial military tech firm Palantir, is the coauthor of a new book, The Technological Republic: Hard Power, Soft Belief, and the Future of the West.

In it, he calls for a renewed sense of national purpose and even greater cooperation between government and the tech sector. His book is, in fact, not just an account of how to spur technological innovation, but a distinctly ideological tract.

As a start, Karp roundly criticizes Silicon Valley’s focus on consumer-oriented products and events like video-sharing apps, online shopping and social media platforms, which he dismisses as “the narrow and the trivial.”

His focus instead is on what he likes to think of as innovative big-tech projects of greater social and political consequence.

He argues, in fact, that Americans face “a moment of reckoning” in which we must decide “what is this country, and for what do we stand?”

And in the process, he makes it all too clear just where he stands — in strong support of what can only be considered a new global technological arms race, fueled by close collaboration between government and industry and designed to preserve America’s “fragile geopolitical advantage over our adversaries.”

Karp believes that applying American technological expertise to building next-generation weapons systems is the genuine path to national salvation and he advocates a revival of the concept of “the West” as foundational for future freedom and collective identity.

As Sophie Hurwitz of Mother Jones noted recently, Karp summarized this view in a letter to Palantir shareholders in which he claimed that the rise of the West wasn’t due to “the superiority of its ideas or values or religion… but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence.”

Count on one thing: Karp’s approach, if adopted, will yield billions of taxpayer dollars for Palantir and its militarized Silicon Valley cohorts in their search for AI weaponry that they see as the modern equivalent of nuclear weapons and the key to beating China, America’s current great power rival.

Militarism as a Unifying Force in a New Manhattan Project

Karp may be right that this country desperately needs a new national purpose, but his proposed solution is, to put it politely, dangerously misguided.

Ominously enough, one of his primary examples of a unifying initiative worth emulating is World War II’s Manhattan Project, which produced the first atomic bombs. He sees the building of those bombs as both a supreme technological achievement and a deep source of national pride, while conveniently ignoring their world-ending potential. And he proposes embarking on a comparable effort in the realm of emerging military technologies:

“The United States and its allies abroad should without delay commit to launching a new Manhattan Project in order to retain exclusive control of the most sophisticated forms of AI for the battlefield — the targeting systems and swarms of drones and robots that will become the most powerful weapons of the century.”

And here’s a question he simply skips: How exactly will the United States and its allies “retain exclusive control” of whatever sophisticated new military technologies they develop?
