FORT WORTH, Texas (LifeSiteNews) — The Trump administration paid millions in grants to a Texas branch of Catholic Charities this week after a lawsuit was filed earlier this month over the freezing of funds.

Catholic Charities Fort Worth received a whopping $47,426,180.17 in government grants on March 17,according to a court filing, after the branch sued the Trump administration. Catholic Charities has long been accused of using government funding to aid illegal immigration.

Earlier this month, Catholic Charities Fort Worth had sued the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) over the administration’s freezing of tens of millions of dollars in grants previously committed to the organization. According to the March 17 court filing, the Fort Worth branch has also asked for an additional $250,547.48 from the government.

Catholic Charities has been sharply criticized, including by Catholics, for its alleged aiding of illegal immigration. The organization manages the day-to-day care for many unaccompanied alien children (UACs) and, along with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), Catholic Charities has received $449 million from the U.S. government to shelter and transport unaccompanied immigrant children over the years.

Catholic Charities has also received intense scrutiny for placing these children with unvetted sponsors, even after reports emerged that some of these children ended up in forced labor, sex trafficking, or other forms of abuse.

It is also well known that the organization assists foreign nationals who have broken U.S. immigration laws. For example, one Catholic Charities YouTube video shows Barbara Graham, program director and immigration attorney for Catholic Charities, advising people of their rights when approached by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers.

Since returning to office, Trump has signed the executive order “Protecting the American People Against Invasion” that stipulated the removal of foreign nations in violation of immigration laws and the review of funds to NGOs that support or provide services to illegal aliens.

Shortly after signing that order, the Trump administration issued another blow to Catholic Charities by placing a 90-day freeze on foreign aid dispersed through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), which provides significant funding along with other NGOs backing abortion and the “LGBTQ” agenda.

Boston votes to become LGBT ‘sanctuary city’ in defiance of Trump administration

The Boston City Council voted 12-1 to become an LGBT 'sanctuary,' with only one member requesting more information on what the resolution would actually do.

BOSTON (LifeSiteNews) – The Boston City Council voted 12-1 Friday to declare the left-wing city an LGBT “sanctuary” against compliance with out-of-state conservative policies.

LGBTQ Nation reported that theresolution codifies local pro-LGBT policies, condemns “policies that will undermine access to essential gender-affirming healthcare, reproductive services, and HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment” and affirmsthe city will not comply with federal rules or regulationsit deems contrary to its sexual values. (So the city will break federal law and rules and put resolution, a legal document. If a city codifies issues that break Federal law, can’t the be sued by Trump Admin.)

“During the election and since, there’s been an incredible escalation in anti-trans rhetoric and violence that has caused incredible stress and anxiety to our LGBTQI+ community, and especially to our trans brothers and sisters,” declared Democrat Liz Breadon, the council’s first openly lesbian member.

The sole member to vote against the resolution was Democrat Ed Flynn, who said he was unclear on the full details of what it would specifically do. “I don’t want to be disrespectful to anybody, but it’s just something I would like to have before I vote,” he said. (He probably doesn’t want sign it because they will break federal rules and regulations)

The Trump administration has taken a variety of executive actions to withdraw federal tax dollarsfrom states and institutions that support biological males in women’s sports, transitioning gender-confused minors, and similar policies. The moves have provoked a backlash in left-wing enclaves,but evidence indicates disgruntled activists are out of step with the American people.

A recent Pew Researchsurvey found that 66% of respondents supported limiting athletic participation to actual members of a team’s designated sex, 56%supported prohibiting “transition” procedures on minors, and53%oppose forcing insurance companies to cover transition services. At the same time, just under half support requiring gender-confused individuals to use biologically correct restrooms orprohibiting “gender identity” lessons in elementary school, although support for those policies is only 26% and 34%, respectively.

Left-wing fixation on “woke” causes is also widely considered to be one of the reasons Democrats lost the latest presidential election. Exit polling by the pro-Democrat firm Blueprint found that the statement “Kamala Harris is focused more on cultural issues like transgender issues rather than helping the middle class” was the third-biggest reason for why overall voters chose not to vote for her, and the number one reason why swing voters rejected her and voted for Donald Trump instead.

Still, such political considerations hold little sway in deep-blue Boston, which has long been known for its left-wing radicalism –perhaps most notably when it was rebuked by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2022 for refusing to let a Christian flag fly at cityhall despite allowing other groups to have their causes represented, including LGBT “pride.”

New York City launches free pro-abortion exhibit for Women’s History Month

NEW YORK (LifeSiteNews) – The Big Apple is marking Women’s History Month 2025 by launching an exhibit on the history of “reproductive rights” and New York City’s work to advance them, Democrat Mayor Eric Adams announced Tuesday.

The exhibit, a project of the New York City Department of Records and Information Services (DORIS), uses “historical documents dating back to 1828 — including court records, New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) charts, and photos of locations where illegal abortions were performed — to tell the full evolution of the city’s stance on abortion from criminality to full access,” according to a city press release.

It intends to perpetuate a false narrative that restricting abortion endangers women’s health and casts a heroic light on New York’s absolutist pro-abortion recordon the issue in the modern era. The exhibit, which opened March 18 and runs until April 30, is free to attend.

“For too long, women in need of reproductive health care were forced into the shadows, turning to dangerous alternatives to receive the support they needed. In New York City, we’re proud to be a beacon of light for all women seeking reproductive care and services,” Adams declared. “Thanks to this exhibit, New Yorkers can trace and understand our history of reproductive rights — from the early, dark days of criminality to our status today as a national role model. This month, during Women’s History Month, and every month, our city stands with protecting, empowering, and leading on women’s health care.”

“As chair of the City Council’s Health Committee, I commend the administration for shedding light on New York City’s complex history of reproductive rights,” New York City Council member Lynn Schulman added. “This exhibit is a powerful reflection of our city’s journey — from criminalization to becoming a national leader in protecting abortion access — and a reminder of the ongoing fight to safeguard these rights. At a time when reproductive freedoms are under attack across the country, New York City remains a beacon of progress and a safe haven for those seeking care.”

Under Adams, New York City has been aggressive in supporting “access” to abortion-on-demand, including by dispensing abortion pills free of chargeand instituting telehealth abortion services through the city’s public health system. Disregard for the preborn and pro-life residents has also been made clearby allowing aborted babies to be treated as medical waste instead of human remainsand excluding pro-lifers from last year’s St. Patrick’s Day parade.

The state of New York is similarly uncompromising. Last November, voters approved Proposition 1, a so-called “Equal Rights Amendment” adding “sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy, pregnancy outcomes, and reproductive healthcare and autonomy,” as protected classes to the state constitution’s “equal protection” clause.

Thirteen states currently ban all or most abortions. But the abortion lobby is working feverishly to cancel out those deterrents via deregulated interstate distribution of abortion pills, legal protection and financial support of interstate abortion travel, constructing new abortion facilitiesnear borders shared by pro-life and pro-abortion states, making liberal states sanctuaries for those who want to evade or violate the laws of more pro-life neighbors, and enshrining abortion “rights” in state constitutions.

On Wednesday,March 19, the Solemnity of St. Joseph, Strickland led 100 priests in prayer during the second annual “Catholic Prayer for America” gala at Mar-a-Lago.

Candace Owens, others rebuke Jordan Peterson for co-authoring study against ‘Christ is King’

(LifeSiteNews) –– Jordan Peterson has been on the receiving end of a tidal wave of criticism for co-authoring a controversial study released by an organization aligned with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).

The 20-page report, which LifeSiteNews has reported on previously, appears to be designed topurposefully designate the phrase “Christ is King” as hate speech.

Among those who are rebuking Peterson include prominent Catholics like Michael Matt, Candace Owens, and Jack Posobiec. Conservative activists Mike Cernovich and Andrew Torba, the CEO of social media company Gab, have also weighed in.

“The attacks on Christ the King have backfired,” Posobiec said during a recent podcast. “I’m very disappointed to see Doctor Jordan Peterson’s name on this.”

Owens called out Peterson on X as well, while he described her as a “true Pharisaical pretender.”

On Thursday, March 13, the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) released its study titled“Thy Name in Vain: How Online Extremists Hijacked ‘Christ is King’.”The NCRI was founded in 2018 by Joel Finkelstein, currently a research fellow at Rutgers but who previously worked for the Anti-Defamation League from 2018 until 2020.The NCRI claims to expose “the spread of hostile ideological content” online. It partnered with the ADL in 2019 to “look into how extremism and hate spread on social media.”

Finkelstein published the paper along with Peterson and 11 others, many of whom are Jewish. The studyalleges that the term “Christ the King” has been “weaponized” by “political extremists” who are using it to advance “exclusionary and hateful narratives.”

Peterson has defended the paper on social media, as has Johnnie Moore, who appears to be the study’s lone Christian co-author. Moore is a Zionist Evangelical who has served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the ADL in Los Angeles. He has also worked with the ADL’s Middle East Task Force. Torba has criticized him on X.

Owens has been one of the influential public figures to push back against the NCRI’s report. On her podcast this week, she bluntly stated that it was “funded by Jews to make Christians war with one another during the Lenten season.”

Posobiec said, “they’re trying to get Christ is King labeled hate speech.”

Owens and Posobiec paired up for a podcast this week to expose the coordinated attack and to discuss Peterson’s involvement.

Mint News has reported that the NCRI has received over $1 million from the Israel on Campus Coalition (ICC), a group that seeks to promote support for Israel at U.S. colleges. The ICC, in turn, is funded by the Jewish National Fund.

Grayzone reporter Max Blumenthal has also foundthat the NCRI included George Soros’ Open Society Foundation as an affiliate until it deleted that section from its website in 2021, a fact that Cernovich drew attention to on X.

Cernovich has appeared on Tucker Carlson’s podcast previously. He has been relentless in calling out Peterson for co-authoring the paper.

“Jordan Peterson worked with an ADL affiliate to do ‘academic research’ laying the foundation for labeling Christ is King as hate speech.This went over badly (understatement), and created a lot of bad blood. Stupid move, and also revealing,” he said.

Gab CEO Torba has joined in the fight as well. He has fired off several X posts defending Christian theology and what the Bible says about the Jewish people.

“The time has come for Christians to rise up, reclaim our faith, and unapologetically stand for truth, justice, and the advancement of God’s Kingdom above all else,” he has said.

Kansas satanists say they’ll defy new rules blocking ‘black mass’ on state property

The Satanic Grotto’s president Michael Stewart declared that thegroup will hold its ‘black mass’ on March 28, despite a new policy banning the event on state property.

KANSAS CITY, Kansas (LifeSiteNews) — Kansas satanists have announced that they plan to defy new rules blocking their “black mass” on state property.

In a March 19 op-ed published in The Kansas City Star, the Satanic Grotto’s president Michael Stewart declared that the satanic group will hold a “black mass” on March 28, regardless of a new policy banning them from holding the event on state property.

“On March 28, we will enter the Kansas capitol and perform the Black Mass according to our original permit,” Stewart stated.

“We acknowledge it violates the new permit, and there might be consequences. Nothing ‘bad’ will happen and we will leave. Or at least that’s what I hope will happen,” he continued.

Stewart further told the Kansas Capitol Bureau that his group will hold the “black mass” regardless of whether this results in their arrest. He also revealed that the group plans to perform “the Four Blasphemies ritual,” which mocks the Stations of the cross.

Stewart’s statement comes after Kansas legislators passed policy changes to events held on state property, which would essentially ban the “black mass,” according to the Kansas Reflector, part of the state newsroom.

Organizations and individuals will not be permitted to “meet or gather when participation is limited or restricted on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, handicap, cultural heritage or national origin or ancestry.”

Furthermore, gatherings are forbidden if an individual has made a threat verified by state law enforcement “against the governor, a member of the Legislature or other public official.”

Finally, gatherings are not permitted if a group or member of a group “has stated explicitly that the meeting or gathering will involve a violation of law.”

The last provision essentially bans the “black mass,” as the event involves stealing and desecrating a consecrated Eucharistic host, according to a lawsuitby Kansas Archbishop Joseph Naumann.

The change in policy comes after Catholics across America have planned protests and prayer rallies in response to the satanic event.

As LifeSiteNews previously reported, conservative Catholic organization American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property (TFP), is sponsoring a Rosary rally nearby as the blasphemous event takes place.

CatholicVote has also asked its followers to show up on the 28th to protest in order to “stop Eucharistic desecration.”

Additionally, Archbishop Naumann will reconsecrate Kansas to Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary and hold a Holy Hour before celebrating Mass on March 28.
