The lead author of the false NY Times story re a briefing for @elonmusk on PRC contingency plans is Eric Schmitt. Based on my experience, he is heavily sourced within the Joint Staff and often publishes false information on their behalf. The framing of the story and the content of the article also points to the JS as the source — perhaps to protect corrupt JS interests that are in the reform crosshairs. Need to finish JS house cleaning and dramatically reduce numbers.

I’ll be introducing a bill next week to require this type of request for injunctive relief to go before a three-judge district court, with a direct appeal to SCOTUS

This kind of mischief would be far more difficult to carry out with that legislation in place
