Ukraine attacks Russian gas pipeline – reports

Kiev’s forces have allegedly targeted a metering station in Kursk Region

Ukrainian troops have attacked a key gas pipelinein western Russia that was previously used to deliver gas to the EU, Telegram news channels have claimed.

According to the Mash and Baza news channels,Kiev’s forces damaged the Sudzha gas metering station in Kursk Region overnight from Thursday to Friday.

Videos circulating online show a large fire at the facility. It is unclear whether the station was hit by a kamikaze drone or artillery. The authorities have not commented on the reported incident.

Ukraine invaded parts of Kursk Region in early August, capturing the town of Sudzha and dozens of villages. The Russian troops liberated Sudzha and its surroundings earlier this month.

Russian military bloggers havesuggested that the Ukrainians may have rigged the gas equipment with explosives before retreating.

The metering station is part of the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod pipeline, which for decades had delivered gas from Russia to the EU through Ukrainian territory. The flow did not stop even after the Ukrainians captured the station during their incursion last year.

Kiev, however, has refused to renew the contract with Russian operator Gazprom and stopped the transit at the start of this year.

Following a phone call with US President Donald Trump on Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to a 30-day pause on strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky said on Thursday that Kiev would also honor the agreement.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova saidthe same day, however, thatUkraine had “violated the truce proposed by the US president.”

Russian military using ground-mobile kamikaze drones (MOD VIDEO)

A robotic cart carrying two anti-tank mines has devastated a Ukrainian covered trench, newly released footage shows

The Russian Defense Ministry has published footage of a ground-mobile kamikaze drone successfully targeting a Ukrainian covered trench.

Released on Thursday, the video features a small tracked vehicle armed with two standard anti-tank mines. The operator navigated it toward the entrance of the fortified Ukrainian position, guided by a reconnaissance drone keeping watchover its approach. The vehicle’s lethal cargo was then detonated, with each TM-62 mine containing approximately 8kg of TNT.

According to the video's description, the footage was captured in Ukraine’s Kharkov Region.

While ground-mobile kamikaze drones are generally slower than their aerial counterparts and may be challenging to pilot in rough terrain, they offer significantly higher payload capacities.

Both sides in the Ukraine conflict have employed such weaponry. Larger ground drones can also serve other roles, including in remote mining operations, as combat platforms, or for medical evacuation purposes.

Kiev ‘disrespecting citizens’ by using cheeseburgers in military draft – ex-Ukrainian diplomat

The idea of asking people to die for fast food is “overwhelming,” Andrey Telizhenko has told RT

The authorities in Kiev are desperately attempting to lure young citizens into the military with promises of McDonald’s cheeseburgersbecause they have run out of experienced soldiersin the conflict with Russia, former Ukrainian diplomat and parliamentary adviser Andrey Telizhenko has told RT.

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry triggered outrage on social media this week after publishing a clip on its TikTok account, telling potential recruits they could buy 15,625 cheeseburgers for the 1 million hryvnia ($24,000) sum being offered to sign a contract with the military.

Commenting in an interview on Friday, Telizhenko said the leadership in Kiev “disrespects the people in Ukraine” by asking them to die for hamburgers.

“They are not talking about something national… something patriotic. They are talking about a foreign brand of a foreign country.

They are throwing low quality burgersor sandwichesinto the crowd and saying: ‘Eat it,’”he insisted.

The government of Vladimir Zelensky is “trying to put thisidea of freedom and democracy behind McDonald’s and fast food – hideous fast food– to youngsters for them to go and fight for a cheeseburger, for food. This is just overwhelming,” the former diplomat added.

According to Telizhenko, Kiev’s campaign targets those aged between 18 and 24 because “there is nobody else to fight.”

Experiencedtroops trained by NATOprior to the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in February 2022“are all now destroyed,” he added. “They are now gone… They died, more than a million of them.”

Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov said late last year that Kiev’s losses during the conflict had amounted toover 1 million, which includes both killed and severely wounded.

Anyone who would fall for the promise of 15,625 cheeseburgers is not going to receive that money anyway, Telizhenko insisted.

The Ukrainian government is not paying outthat money to the Ukrainians. That is a fact,” he said.

Zelensky claims that just over 45,000Ukrainian soldiers have been killed in the fighting so farbecause “only those people were paid out – out of a million dead,” Telizhenko stated.

Kiev blew up metering station for EU-bound gas – Russia

The destruction of the border energy facility is just the latest provocation by Ukraine, the Defense Ministry has said

Ukrainian forces retreating from Russia’s Kursk Region have destroyed the Sudzha gas metering station, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has reported.

The incident took place early on Friday, roughly 20 minutes after midnight, the ministry said in a statement. The facility had been previously used to deliver fuel to consumers in European nations.

Ukrainian forces seized the site in early August during their incursion into Kursk Region and used it as a secure logistics base, the ministry explained. The station, located close to the border, was deliberately blown up as part of the Ukrainian retreat, the military added.

”The demolition of the key Russian energy site was nothing short of an intentional provocation”in the context of the US-mediated partial ceasefire, under which Moscow pledged to refrain from attacks against Ukrainian energy infrastructure in exchange for a similar moratorium by Kiev.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has cited the incident as evidence that Kiev cannot be trusted, saying during a regular media briefing thatRussian officials “have repeatedly warned our interlocutors about this.”

He said that President Vladimir Putin’s order not to attack Ukrainian energy sites remained in force, per his agreement with Trump.

Russia’s Investigative Committee has launched a criminal probe into the incident as an act of terrorism. It said Ukrainian military personnel currently involved in the Kursk Region incursion were responsible for the gas station’s demolition.

Kiev launched an assault into Kursk Region in hopes of seizing Russian territory as leverage in negotiations. Russian forces have since largely ousted Ukrainian troops, with Sudzha, previously a linchpin of Ukrainian operations, being liberated earlier this month.

EU feeding Ukraine ‘empty promises’ – Orban

The bloc doesn’t have enough money to support Kiev, the Hungarian leader has said

TheEuropean Union does not have the means to realistically support Ukraine during its conflictwith Russia, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said. He made his comments on Thursday, following a contentious meeting of EU leaders in Brussels.

“The EU doesn’t have a single penny left. It has spent all of its money,” Orban told the YouTube channel Patriota. “[The EU] talks about wanting to continue arming Ukraine, maintaining the Ukrainian army, and funding the functioning of the Ukrainian state… but can’t find any money in its pockets. I think it’s empty promises,” the prime minister added.

Orban stressed that the conflict has taken a toll on the economies of EU members. He urged Brussels to support US President Donald Trump’s efforts to mediate a peace between Russia and Ukraine. “We must not allow Hungarian families to continue to continue to pay for the economic consequences of the war,”he said.

On Thursday, Budapest refused to sign a joint EU communique calling for an increase in military aid to Kiev. “We will not allow a common European position to be formed that includes Hungary and is pro-war,” Orban told reporters following the meeting of EU leaders.

Budapest has repeatedly exercised its veto powers to block or delay aid packages while arguing that the bloc must avoid further escalation with Russia and focus on diplomacy.

TheEU members have failed to agreeon €40 billion ($43 billion) inadditional military support for Ukraine. Italy and Spain reportedly rejected the plan spearheaded by the EU’s top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, as too costly.

According to Politico, diplomats from “half a dozen countries” privately bashed Kallas’ proposal on Wednesday, with one diplomat calling the plan “botched.” Euronews reported that some officials declared the plan “dead” after it failed to gain traction during a meeting in Brussels.

(The EU are just like leftists and Democrats in the U.S., they are all lost, and only just resist President Trump. The whole ideology is falling apart.)

EU’s Kallas ‘angered’ by Spanish PM – Euractiv

The bloc’s top diplomat has reportedly rejected the idea of a separate Ukraine peace envoy

The EU’s top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, has angrily shot down Spain’s proposal to designate a special representative to negotiate a Ukraine peace deal, multiple news agencies have reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

During a summit in Brussels on Thursday, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez endorsed the idea of appointing a Ukraine envoy, which was previously backed by Finland and Croatia.

We need a negotiating team and a representative that speaks for European citizens,” Sanchez told reporters. (Zelensky has used Europe for his piggy bank, he won’t agree to anything)

The Prime Minister’s comments “angered”Kallas, who argued that she was the right person to conduct talks with Russia and Ukraine, Euractiv reported, citing an EU diplomat. (BaHaHaHa, she’s the angriest woman there! They are trying to outdo Trump. Good luck with that! KEK)

According to Bloomberg, Kallas “took offense” to Sanchez’s position, and the two had “a heated exchange” behind closed doors. “What am I here for?” she said, according to Bloomberg’s sources.

Politico Europe cited two EU diplomats as saying that Kallas insisted thatrepresenting the bloc was her joband that appointing a new person would “not be useful.”

EU members have felt sidelined since US President Donald Trump reopened direct talkswith Russia without their approval. Trump, who said his top priority was to save lives, had phone calls with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky this week, during which the sides agreed to a 30-day pause on strikes on energy infrastructure.

Trump has also refused to commit to unconditional support for Kiev and rejected the idea of providing specific security guarantees.

The diplomatic response was not the only point of contention in Brussels. Spain and Italy have reportedly rejected Kallas’ plan to raise €40 billion ($43 billion) in additional military aid for Ukraine as too costly.

Sanchez also criticized the language and priorities laid out in the European Commission’s recently unveiled plan to raise up to €800 billion ($868 billion) to “rearm” the EU. Brussels should understand that “the challenges that we face in the southern neighborhood are a bit different [from] the ones the eastern flank [faces],”Sanchez said on Thursday.

US pulling back from efforts to enforce sanctions against Russia – EU

Washington has reportedly been “unresponsive” in working groups focused on monitoring the implementation of restrictions

The White House has scaled back its involvement in enforcing sanctions against Russia as Washington continues to push for an end to the Ukraine conflict, according to anonymous EU officials cited by Bloomberg.

Washington and Brussels have imposed numerous sanctions against Russia since the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in 2022 in a bid to isolate the country. They include a ban on Russia’s seaborne oil shipments, cutting the country off from the Western financial system, freezing its foreign reserves, and many other restrictions.

However, since President Donald Trump assumed office, the US has been largely absent from several working groups established to combat Moscow’sattempts to evade sanctions, the officials told the outlet.

They said the US has been mostly “unresponsive” in a working group aimed at preventing Russia from acquiring parts and equipment used in weapons production, according to the article.Washington has also reportedly gone quiet in another group focused on monitoring and enforcing the G7’s $60-per-barrel price capon Russian seaborne oil sales.

The officials told Bloomberg it’s unclear whether Washington has intentionally scaled back its involvement or is simply facing a shortage of key personnel. They noted that some meetings have been attended by more junior representatives with limited authority to make decisions.

Trump has repeatedly stated that the US could amp up sanctions against Russia if negotiations to end the Ukraine conflict fail. Echoing his remarks earlier this week, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated: “We will be able to get [Moscow] to the table without increasing the sanctions, but all options are on the table.”

However,EU officials said there’s been little indication of any preparations for toughening the sanctions, and it remains unclear what actions, if any, the US is taking to address the evasion of existing measures, according to Bloomberg.

Moscow has repeatedly slammed the Western restrictions as illegal, and noted their failure to destabilize the Russian economy or isolate the country. Instead, they have backfired on the states that imposed them, according to the Kremlin.

President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that despite foreign pressure, the national economy has become more resilient and continues to grow.

Addressing a meeting of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) in Moscow, the president accused the West of using the Ukraine conflict as a pretext to eliminate Russia as a competitor.

Boasberg’s Judicial Coup Update: Judge Gives President Trump Deadline of Tuesday for Compliance

March 21, 2025 | Sundance |

Judge James Boasberg issues a three-page order [SEE HERE] demanding the Trump administrationdeliver cabinet level details about their criminal alien deportation operation.

Boasberg claims the information provided to him so far is “woefully inadequate,” and lacks the citations of what cabinet-level officials were involved in deporting criminal illegal aliens and Tren de Aragua gang members protected by a leftist immigration organization employing Judge Boasberg’s daughter.

Judge Boasberg appears to be focused on generating a contempt order against the Trump administration. Presumably, this would give Boasberg’s allied Democrats in congress a foothold for their needed 2028 election effort and another impeachment attempt.

“To begin, the Government cannot proffer a regional ICE official to attest to Cabinet-level discussions of the state-secrets privilege; indeed, his declaration on that point, not surprisingly, is based solely on his unsubstantiated ‘understand[ing],'” he said.

Boasberg thenordered the Trump administration to submit a brief by March 25explaining why it did not violate his order by failing to return the individuals in question on the two earliest planes that arrived from El Salvador to the U.S. on March 15.

“By March 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., Defendants shall submit a sworn declaration by a person with direct involvement in the Cabinet-level discussions regarding invocation of the state-secrets privilege,” he added.

Boasberg had previously warned the Trump administration of consequences if it were to violate his order.

President Trump via Truth Social:

“Unlawful Nationwide Injunctions by Radical Left Judges could very well lead to the destruction of our Country! These people are Lunatics, who do not care, even a little bit, about the repercussions from their very dangerous and incorrect Decisions and Rulings.

Lawyers endlessly search the United States for these Judges, and file lawsuits as quickly as they find them. It is then the obligation of Law abiding Agencies of Government to have these “Orders” overturned. The danger is unparalleled! These Judges want to assume the Powers of the Presidency, without having to attain 80 Million Votes. They want all of the advantages with none of the risks.

Again, a President has to be allowed to act quickly and decisively about such matters as returning murderers, drug lords, rapists, and other such type criminals back to their Homeland, or to other locations that will allow our Country to be SAFE. It is our goal to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, and such a high aspiration can never be done if Radical and Highly Partisan Judges are allowed to stand in the way of JUSTICE. STOP NATIONWIDE INJUNCTIONS NOW, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.

If Justice Roberts and the United States Supreme Court do not fix this toxic and unprecedented situation IMMEDIATELY, our Country is in very serious trouble!”

Senator Chuck Schumer Admits Democrats Organizing Astroturf Activists to Travel and Target GOP Townhall Meetings

March 21, 2025 | Sundance |

Under pressure from a frustrated leftist base, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer appears on PBS to defend himself against increasing calls for his replacement.

Senator Schumer is having difficulty explaining to the base how ‘government shutdowns’ are now a bad idea, when previously the shutdown battles were always supported by Democrat leadership.

As Schumer notes, things are different now;the agenda of President Trump would benefit from a reduction in governmentand there’s no reason to believe Elon Musk (DOGE), Russ Vought (OMB) and President Trump would not like to continue a shutdown for an extended period while they reduced the size, scale, scope and power of the federal government. Such an approach would be against the interests of the hardline leftists.

The larger point on the shutdown and reasoning for supporting the Continuing Resolution are accurate. However, leftists are tribal followers by nature and when the direction of the activism is reverse by their leaders, they struggle intellectually and cognitively to understand why. Hence, Schumer is under fire.

That said, there’s amoment within the interview where Schumer is forced to outline what the political leadership is doingagainst the favorability of the Trump agenda. Within Schumer’s explanation of what they are doing, headmits to Democrats organizing activist groupsto travel the country and target GOP townhall meetings to give the illusion of non-support. The goal, he says, is to change the narrative and pretend the policies of Democrats have more support than they do. Watch, it’s a remarkable series of admissions.

Schumer alsonotes the Democrats also have a new “online operation” where they are intending to shape public opinionthrough theuse of Astroturf activiststo give the illusion of a larger support network.

University of Wisconsin Axes Chief Diversity Officer, Previously Accused of Plagiarism, for Gross Financial Mismanagement

LaVar Charleston accused of doling out over $200,000 to staff3/17/25

Before he was stripped of his role as the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s chief diversity officer,LaVar Charleston had been accused of assaulting a police officer and engaging in a decades-long pattern of research misconduct. Now he can add financial mismanagement to his rap sheet.

In a letter to university officials last week, the school’s top finance administrator, Rob Cramer, said that Charleston had displayed "poor financial judgment" as head of the Division of Diversity, Equity and Educational Achievement, which became the subject of an internal probe in January after concerns surfaced about the division’s finances.

The probe found thatCharleston engaged in a pattern of profligate spending that strained the university’s budget. In 2023, for example, he doled out over $200,000 in bonuses, "without consultation," to the university DEI staff.

"Dr. Charleston did not discuss his plan with anyone in senior leadership, and the timing of this decision, in the context of the 2023 [budget], shows a thoughtless attitude in decision-making," Cramer’s letter reads. "This lack of consultation and disregard for the broader financial context highlights a significant lapse in leadership and fiscal responsibility."

The letter also statesthat Charleston, a professor in the university’s education school, "lacked important documentation to support many of these decisions," which included pay raises as well as bonuses. He was removed from his DEI role in January as the probe got underway. While Charleston is no longer "vice chancellor for inclusive excellence," he is still employed by the school, albeit at a lower salary.

"Under the terms of his appointment and consistent with state law, Dr. Charleston is able to remain an employee as an academic staff instructor and researcher, a separate, non-administrative position," said university spokesman John Lucas. "His salary in this position has been reduced by two-thirds."

The letter is the latest in a string of embarrassing revelations about Charleston, who in 2011 was charged with attempting to strangle a police officer—an incident that only became public in 2022 after the MacIver Institute, a conservative think tank, published documents showing thatCharleston had sought to conceal his arrestby enrolling in a program that expunges the records of first-time felons who agree to do community service work.

Two years later, Charleston was hit with a research misconduct complaint that implicated eight of his publications. The complaint alleged that Charlestonhad not only plagiarized other authors but also recycled his own research without attribution, presenting it as new work—a form of résumé-padding that can result in retractions and is considered a serious scholarly offense.

One of the duplicate papers was coauthored with Charleston's wife, Sherri Ann Charleston, the chief diversity officer of Harvard University. That paper, published in 2014, had the same methods, findings, and survey subjects as a study LaVar Charleston had published on his own two years earlier.

"It is academic misconduct to publish essentially the same paper twice with no acknowledgment of the duplication," Alexander Riley, a sociologist at Bucknell University, told the Washington Free Beacon at the time. "It seems fairly clear that Charleston is gaming the system in order to get more on his CV than is merited by the amount of research he has actually done."

The university did not discipline Charleston over that complaint.Lucas, the UW-Madison spokesman, said review of the allegations "concluded with no finding of research misconduct."

The financial scandal comes as theTrump administration is investigating UW-Madison, along with 50 other schools, for sponsoring race-based fellowships and scholarships. The university is also the target of a separate probe related to its handling of anti-Semitism, which was announced days after the Education Department cut $400 million in grants and contracts to Columbia University over what it described as the school’s failure to protect Jewish students.
