Listen, regardless of mainframe or Cobol programming, everything is going into a Database. I put a portion of the largest database in the world online securely at Barclay's Private Banking when the Internet first started. The billions that are being paid out, is just fraud for very little work to be done by contractors who are most likely just responsible for running some basic scripts. Interrogate the schema of the database, run some cursors, and port it over to a more advanced database. Input and outputs can then be rewritten in a modern fast language, then the billion dollar scams go away.
