DOGE Staffer BREAKS SILENCE on IRS Disaster: “30 Years Behind Schedule, $15 Billion Over Budget” Mar. 21, 2025 1/2

Sam Corcos, a DOGE deputy and special adviser to the U.S. Treasury Department, sat down with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham on Thursday and unloaded a jaw-dropping exposé on the IRS and Treasury.

Corcos, the co-founder and CEO of Levels—a health-tech company that uses real-time biological data to help people make smarter food choices—was brought in to assess the IRS’s so-called “modernization” effort. What he found? An unaccountable leviathan hemorrhaging of tax dollars.

A huge part of our government is collecting taxes. We cannot perform the basic functions of tax collection without paying a toll to all these contractors. We really have to figure out how to get out of this hole. We’re in a really deep hole right now,” DOGE representative Sam Corcos said.

Corcos told Ingraham that one of his top priorities during his six-month tenure is to review the IRS modernization program, along with other operational and budgetary matters.

Corcos revealed that the IRS’s so-called modernization project is not only 30 years behind schedule, but also a jaw-dropping $15 billion over budget.

Sam Corcos: Yeah, I’ve been brought in tolook at the IRS’s modernization program in particular, as well as the operations and maintenance budget. I really care a lot about this country, and this is a huge program that’s currently 30 years behind schedule and already $15 billion over budget.

Laura Ingraham: Wait a second. Explain to our viewers what the program is in layman’s terms.

Sam Corcos: Yeah. The goal is to take… The IRS has some pretty legacy infrastructure. It’s actually very similar to what banks have been using—old mainframes running COBOL and assembly. The challenge has been: how do we migrate that to a modern system?

Virtually every bank has already done this, but we’re still using a lot of those same systems.

Typically, in industry, this takes a few years, maybe a few hundred million dollars. We’re now 35 years into this program. If you ask them now, it’s five years away—and it’s been five years away since 1990. It was supposed to be delivered in 1996, and it’s still five years away.

Corcos was trying to assess the system — but career bureaucrats, many of whom are terrified of accountability, resisted his efforts.

Laura Ingraham: In your area of expertise, what informs your ability to do this review?

Sam Corcos: I’m a software developer by background, and I’m a CEO of a software technology company.

Laura Ingraham: When you came into the department, was the first thing you did to just get into the guts of the system and see how it operates?

Sam Corcos: Yeah, really talk to the software developers—talk to the people on the ground and see what they’re seeing.I think one encouraging thing is we actually have quite a lot of software talent on the ground—the people writing code. We actually have quite a lot of good people.

It is almost always the case that when I ask them what the correct answer is, how do we solve these problems, they’re almost always right—which is good. They just haven’t been in a position to be empowered to make those decisions.I’m actually pretty optimistic that we can solve this.

According to Corcos, the IRS spends a staggering $3.5 billion annually just to keep the lights on—and 80% of that is funneled to outside contractors and licenses.

Sam Corcos:It’s hard to really grasp the scale of this because we process at the IRS about the same amount of data as a mid-size bank. A typical mid-size bank will have somewhere between 100 and 200 people in IT, and they’ll have an operations and maintenance budget in the $20 million-a-year range.

We have 8,000 people in IT, and our operations and maintenance budget is three and a half billion dollars a year.I don’t really know why yet, but I will tell you that 80% of that budget goes to contractors and licenses.

We cannot perform the basic functions of tax collection without paying a toll to all these contractors. We really have to figure out how to get out of this hole. We’re in a really deep hole right now. How do we turn this around?

We have a three and a half billion dollar operations and maintenance budget. We have a $3.7 billion modernization effort with MIT. That’s a lot of budget, and we are way beyond any reasonable cost for what you would expect of a private company.

When asked by Ingraham what surprised him the most upon stepping into the Department of Treasury, Corcos didn’t mince words.

Sam Corcos: I would say it’s the disconnect between leadership and the people actually doing the work—that’s a big one. I would say that it doesn’t take a lot, just somebody who cares, to solve these problems. You find contracts that are $10, $20, $30, $50 million, and you just ask, “Why are we doing this?” And everyone’s just like, “I don’t know.” Then you cancel it, and nothing happens. Inertia has just taken over.

Kennedy Center Fires Contractor After He Posts Video of Himself Protesting Trump Completely Nude

Mar. 20, 2025

The Kennedy Center has fired a contractor named Tavish Forsyth, after he posted an anti-Trump video of himself completely naked, with an animated heart barely covering his nether-regions.

Forsyth reportedly worked in a program that involved children, so the decision to let him go is probably for the best.

This is just the latest example of someone on the left completely losing their minds. It’s difficult to imagine what drove this person to think that this was a good idea.

The New York Post reports:

He’s got a bone to pick.

A contract worker at the Kennedy Center stripped naked and delivered a prattling monologue in a video posted online to protest President Trump’s takeover of the celebrated cultural institution.

Tavish Forsyth, who serves as program director at the Kennedy Center’s Opera Institute, gave the world both an eyeful and an earful with a cringe-inducing 35-minute clip posted to his lightly-followed social media accounts on Wednesday.

“Trump has taken over the Kennedy Center and that’s a place where I work,” a clothed Forsyth said while sitting side-saddle on a bed, footage posted to X and YouTube shows…

Forsyth went on to refer to the Kennedy Center, which has a budget of $45 million, as a “glorified community center” that is experiencing a hostile takeover.

The federal employee expressed harshly critical views of the United States.

“Being pro-genocide is all America has ever done,” Forsyth stated at one point during the screed, adding shortly thereafter, “The revolution is now.”

Forsyth posted the video on YouTubebut it can’t be embedded, for obvious reasons.

The National Pulse has the details on his firing: Kennedy Center Fires Contractor Who Worked With Kids After ‘Disturbing,’ Nude Anti-Trump Video.

Tavish Forsyth, previously an associate artistic lead at the Washington National Opera’s Opera Institute, has been fired after releasing a nude video protesting changes being made at the Kennedy Center by President Trump and his point man Amb. Ric Grenell.

In the YouTube video, Forsyth—who Kennedy Center sources tell The National Pulse was part of an education division which regularly engaged with students—performed a 35-minute spoken-word poem while nude. He was fired on Thursday afternoon.

Some people have truly gone crazy. This guy needs to get himself some help.

Joe And Jill Biden Reportedly Try To Quietly Weasel Back Into Democratic Leadership

Reagan ReeseMarch 21, 2025 ET

After being forced to drop out of the 2024 presidential race, former PresidentJoe Biden wants back into politics and wants to help the Democratic party rebuild, people close to the politician told NBC News.

The 82-year-old hasn’t been heard from much since leaving the White House in January, but according to NBC News, who spoke to people close to the former president,Biden has told multiple Democratic leaders he is willing to raise funds, campaign and do whatever it takes to help the party fight back against Donald Trump. The former president met with newly elected Democratic National Committee Chairman Ken Martin in February to offer up his help to the party, sources said.

“Who’s going to want Joe Biden back in the game?”a significant Biden supporter, granted anonymity to speak freely about the former president, told NBC News.

Former First Lady Jill Biden is also making herself available to the party to help with rebuilding, a person close to her told the outlet.

“She recognizes that serving in the capacities that she served is an honor and it comes with responsibilities to the party. And she’s prepared to help in any way she can,” the source said.

While the Bidens wait to be tapped back into the political scene, both are planning on writing a book, the sources told NBC News. The former president has been commuting back and forth between Delaware and Washington toconsult with his staff on his memoir, the outlet reported.

Just several months ago, the Bidens were trying to fight a revolt within their own party over the former president’s chances at winning the 2024 election. After a disastrous debate performance in June, Democratic party officials started to sound the alarm about the president’s fitness for office.

The pressure mounted, and as the former president fell further behind in the polls, Biden dropped out of the race via Twitter.

The former president endorsed his vice president, Kamala Harris, who then shortly after entered the race for president and became the Democratic nominee. Though it was neck-and-neck until election night,Harris ultimately lost every swing state to Trump, which helped him secure his return to the White House.

Following the former vice president’s loss, the party and campaign have pointed fingers at Biden for not dropping out of the race sooner.

“She ran an extraordinary campaign with a very tough hand that was handed to her,” Mark Longabaugh, a Democratic strategist and former adviser to Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, previously told Politico. “The truth of the matter is, Biden should have stepped aside earlier and let the party put together a longer game plan.”

With Trump returning to the White House, theDemocratic party has struggled to regain its footing in politics. The level of anger within the party is at an all-time high, Politico reported. No real leader has emerged since Harris’ loss. The former vice president and her running mate Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz are both reportedly weighing 2028 bids for president, but are yet to announce their next steps.

“There are plenty of people in the Democratic Party who were obviously very frustrated with how things played out last year, but there are plenty of people who still love Joe Biden,” longtime Democratic fundraiser Alan Kessler of Philadelphia told NBC News. “It’s time to move on with new leadership.” (They love one of the most hateful men on the planet. That’s why democrats won’t win for decades.)
