Interesting picture. This is Amerigo Vespucci's brother's Wife, Simonetta Vespucci.

She was said to be the most beautiful woman in all of Italy. She died tragically at 22 years old.

Her likeness is rumoured to be on Sandro Botticelli's hugely famous Birth of Venus painting.

Simonetta hung out with the Medici's, and in an assasination plot, one of the Medici brothers was killed 2 years to the day of her death.

Phoenician sailors from the Tyre navigated westward by a star they referred to as "Merika".

This "star" was most likely the planet Venus. Aka Ishtar/Astarte, whom the Phoenicians worshipped.

Amerigo Vespucci, as the legend goes (which is likely a coverup), is the namesake for America.

The Phoenicians discovered America and named it after the star they followed (Venus), and the beautiful Simonetta was killed in a ritual, probably to claim the land.
