Homan Taunts AOC, Delivers Hard Facts About Border Crisis: ‘Not Running A Popularity Contest’

While U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has cultivated quite a loyal far-left social media following, that doesn’t mean she actually knows what she’s talking about.

And when it comes to President Donald Trump’s effort to reverse the Biden administration’s surge of illegal immigration, border czar Tom Homan says the New York Democrat has a few things to learn.

Following a string of critical statements Ocasio-Cortez has made about him and the Trump administration’s immigration policy in general, Homan offered a characteristically blunt response.

As the New York Post reported:

“I take pleasure in the fact I can live in her mind rent free every day,” Homan told Fox News “The Ingraham Angle” host Laura Ingraham on Wednesday.

“That means I’m over the target. That means I’m making a difference,” the Trump administration official added.

Ocasio-Cortez recently argued that Homan’s frequent appearances on cable news shows are “taking resources away” from law enforcement efforts to counter illegal activity.

“Every time you see Tom Homan on Fox News, every time you see Kristi Noem, every time you see these law enforcement officials doing flashy television interviews, understand that they are taking resources away from looking at human trafficking – they are taking attention, focus, real dollars and real resources away from actual drug enforcement, trafficking enforcement and actually going after and trying to investigate really harmful activity that is happening,” the far-left “Squad” rep said during an interview earlier this month with YouTuber Brian Tyler Cohen.

‘The View’ Co-Host Claims Democrats’ Only Problem Is That They Don’t Break Enough Rules

While the long-running daytime TV show started out as a seemingly innocuous women-led talk show, ABC’s “The View” has since morphed into an echo chamber for some of the far-left’s most divisive and objectionable opinions.

Co-hosts like Sunny Hostin have regularly pushed the Democratic Party to embrace an even more extreme agenda in the era of President Donald Trump.

As Breitbart reported about a segment from one recent episode:

She continued, “In terms of Tesla’s stock, I think the bottom line is, the only thing that these oligarchs and these billionaires care about is their money. That’s what they care about. And it’s unfortunate that there will be Americans that will be harmed because of this Tesla stock going down but it’s also very unfortunate that many Americans will be harmed because of Elon Musk’s policies and because of what he is doing.”

Hostin added, “The Republicans have thrown out the rulebook. Democrats need to stop playing by those rules. Those rules don’t exist anymore. We’re at an existential crisis right now. We need to meet energy with energy. That’s why Chuck Schumer, who was here, I think, made a mistake by caving, by caving to the Republican Party. Lets fight them the way they fight.”
