Saying Canada Can Easily Replace Economic Trade with USA, Prime Minister Mark Carney Says No Contact with Trump Administration Until Trump Shows Respect for Canada 1/2

March 22, 2025 | Sundance |

While repeating his claim that Canada can easily replace their trade relationship with the USA by seeking larger trade relationship with other countries, specifically the EU, current interim Prime Minister MarkCarney repeats that no contact will be attempted or accepted by the Canadian government until President Donald Trump shows him respect.

This doesn’t portend favorably for U.S-Canada relations; which, to be fair, they would argue have been destroyed by President Donald Trump questioning their sovereignty. However, here’s the kicker, what Canadians don’t seem to realize is that questioningtheir sovereignty is simply a strategy by President Trump to eliminate the one-sided trade relationship with Canada.

It is funny to me that Canada just can’t figure this out.

As long as Canada refuses to engage with President Trump due to a perceived lack of respect, President Donald Trump will continue to enhance his disrespect of Canada, because the absence of engagement assists his ‘total trade reset’ objective.PresidentTrump wants to ¹show, perhaps prove to the Canadian people, how dependent they are on their USA relationship; vis-a-visthey are already not a sovereign, economically independent nation. WATCH:

¹Somewhere around 80% of Canadians have no concept of how their economy is functioning {GO DEEP}. Most Canadiansseem to think they have some form of capitalistic systemin operation and tweeking the knobs will fix things; it won’t.

So, from an American political perspective, specifically from the perspective of President Trump – as noted in all of his repeated remarks about the upcoming Canadian election, having Mark Carney carry out his policies and watching the system therein collapse, might break the borg-mindset. It will be massively painful for Canadians when their currency hits around 0.25¢ to the US dollar. However, that currency collapse will ¹more than eliminate any Trump tariff impact.

REPEAT – This is all predictable.

Here’s how it will happen. CAD = Canadian Dollar, USD = U.S Dollar

President Trump hits Canada with an approximately 50% tariff. Let’s say an import widget from Canada costs the purchaser/importer $100 CAD + 50% tariff, now $150 CAD.

$1 CAD = 0.70¢ USD

Without U.S. tariff, it costs $70 USD to purchase the $100 CAD widget.

With the U.S tariff it would take $105 USD to purchase $150 Canadian widget

However, due to economic policy, Canada’s dependence on the USA market and the tariff battle, the Canadian currency drops around 30%. $1 CAD now equals 0.50¢ USD

With currency drop it now costs $50 USD to purchase the original $100 Canadian widget. $75 USD with tariff.

BEFORE: $70 USD without U.S. tariff, or AFTER: $75 USD with 50% U.S. tariff. A net change of $5.

But wait, back to Mark Carney’s plan. As stated in his tariff policy, the prime minister will take income from the Canadian side of the tariff equation (countervailing duties) to subsidize the impacted export sector. Just like China and the EU did in ’17, ’18 and ’19, the Canadian government plans to offset the difference to the U.S. consumer by subsidizing the exporter with import tariff income. All of this is done to retain access to USA consumers.

The final outcome, the U.S. purchaser is back to the original price of $70, only now that same outcome is evident with an invisible $50 tariff.

This is what China tried to do. This is what the EU tried to do. This is what Canada is now planning to do to retain access to the U.S. market while they look for alternatives.

But wait, it gets better….

….. As the Canadian financial sector evaluates the likely drop in the CAD currency, they seek safe harbor investment to retain the value of their money. The reciprocal tariffs are hitting every currency. The Canadian finance sector purchases dollar and dollar-backed assets to retain their value. This approach increases the value of the U.S dollar.

Do you really think President Trump gives a hoot about PM Carney’s feelings? Quite frankly, Trump would not want to be bothered by Canada while he is working on a much, much bigger geopolitical economic dynamic.

Go back and reference the renegotiation of the NAFTA for reference. Trump didn’t care if Canada (Trudeau/Freeland) agreed or did not agree with the USMCA.Trump was quite willing, heck he was hoping, to just deal with Canada on a bilateral trade system.

President Trump Signs Memo Revoking Security Clearances of Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Others

March 22, 2025 | Sundance |

Perhaps viewed as a Lawfare shot across the bow to those who might share or discuss sensitive government information including leaks to media from internal sources, President Trump has reportedly revoked the security clearances of Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and around a dozen DC operators who use the currency of information access to assimilate wealth and influence.

WASHINGTON – President Trump issued a memo Friday rescinding the security clearances of more than a dozen individuals, including former President Joe Biden and his entire family, former Vice President Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton.

“I have determined that it is no longer in the national interest for the following individuals to access classified information,” Trump wrote in the memo to the heads of executive departments and agencies, before naming those he’s barring from receiving classified information.

The list includes his three past presidential election opponents — Clinton, Biden and Harris — as well as Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and New York Attorney General Letitia James.

Former Biden administration officials Antony Blinken, Jake Sullivan and Lisa Monaco are also on the list, as is anti-Trump Republicans Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney.

“I hereby direct every executive department and agency head to take all additional action as necessary and consistent with existing law to revoke any active security clearances held by the aforementioned individuals and to immediately rescind their access to classified information,” Trump, 78, wrote.

The president also ordered executive department and agency heads to “revoke unescorted access to secure United States Government facilities from these individuals.” (link)

Why President Trump can do a Reduction in Force, and why all these judges are Full of Shit!

January 29, 2025

Job security is a top priority for many workers, and federal employment has long been viewed as a bastion of stability. But in an era of changing workplace dynamics, you might wonder: are federal employees at will and do they enjoy the same protections as their private sector counterparts? Let’s dive into the unique world of federal employment and uncover the truth about job security for those who serve Uncle Sam.

Are federal employees considered at-will workers?

No, federal employees are not considered at-will workers. Unlike the majority of private sector employees, federal workers are shielded by a robust set of protections that prevent arbitrary dismissal. They can only be shown the door for specific reasons outlined in federal law and regulations.

Think of federal employment as a different ballgame altogether. While private sector employees often work under the “at-will” doctrine – where they can be fired for any reason or no reason at all (as long as it’s not discriminatory or against public policy) – federal workers play by a different set of rules. These rules are designed to promote fairness, reward merit, and keep political influence at bay.

The cornerstone of this protection is the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978. This landmark legislation laid down the Merit System Principles, which serve as the bedrock of federal employment practices. These principles aren’t just fancy words on paper; they’re a shield that guards against unfair treatment, ensuring that federal jobs are filled through open competition and that employees are judged on their performance, not their political leanings.

Due Process: A Federal Employee’s Safety Net

One of the key differences between federal and private sector employment is the concept of due process. If you’re a federal employee facing disciplinary action or termination, you’re not left out in the cold. You have the right to know what’s coming, defend yourself, and even appeal decisions that don’t go your way. It’s like having a built-in safety net that catches you before you hit the ground.

Let’s break down what this means in practice. Say a federal agency wants to fire an employee. They can’t just hand them a pink slip and show them the door. Instead, they must follow a structured process that often includes:

Progressive discipline: A series of warnings, giving the employee a chance to correct their behavior.

Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs): Formal documents outlining specific areas where an employee needs to improve, along with clear goals and timelines.

Formal notices: Written explanations of why the employee is facing termination.

Once an employee receives this notice, they have the right to respond both in writing and verbally. It’s their chance to tell their side of the story, present evidence, and potentially change the outcome.

Exceptions to the Rule

Now, before you start thinking federal employees are untouchable, it’s important to note that there are some exceptions to these ironclad protections:

Political appointees serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority and can be removed more easily.

Temporary or term appointments might not have the same job security as permanent positions.

Employees in sensitive positions related to national security may have different rules due to the nature of their work.

Probationary employees.

These exceptions highlight the nuanced nature of federal employment protections. While the general rule provides strong safeguards, there are situations where the government needs more flexibility in managing its workforce.

Legitimate Reasons for Termination

It’s also worth mentioning that while federal employees have strong job protections,it doesn’t mean they can’t be fired at all. Agencies can still remove employees for legitimate reasons such as:

Poor performance

Misconduct

Reduction in force

The key difference is that the process must be fair, transparent, and based on merit rather than arbitrary decisions or personal vendettas. This balance ensures that the government can maintain an effective workforce while protecting employees from unfair treatment.

Recent Challenges to the System

In recent years, there have been some attempts to shake up this system. Various executive orders and proposed legislation have sought to streamline the disciplinary process or create new categories of federal employees with fewer protections. However, many of these efforts have hit roadblocks, either through legal challenges or reversals by subsequent administrations.

Journalists accuse IAEA of bias over attacks on Europe’s largest nuclear plant

A group of international reporters say Ukraine is behind the attacks on the Russian Zaporozhye facility

Agroup of international journalists that recently toured Russia’s Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) have accused Ukraine of being behind repeated bombing of the facility. They also questioned the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) persistent refusal to identify the source of the attacks.

The ZNPP, Europe’s largest nuclear power station, has been under Russian control since March 2022 and is located in a region that later voted to join Russia following a public referendum. The plant’s operations are now overseen by Russian state-owned nuclear power company Rosatom.According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the facility and nearby city of Energodar have come under frequent attacks by Ukrainian dronesand artillery. Despite this, the =IAEA, which has maintained a permanent monitoring mission at the site since September 2022, has consistently declined to name the party responsible for the shelling==.

Speaking with RTafter touring the facility, reporters from a number of countries, including India, Serbia and Slovenia, voiced concerns over whatthey said was a clear distortion of facts by Western media and the IAEA’s refusal to acknowledge the reality on the ground.

“We should never trust any Western sources…Ukrainians are playing with nuclear fire,” said Serbian journalist Miodrag Zarkovic, who criticized the IAEA’s insistence on neutrality. Indian journalist Manish KumarJha said the evidence he saw contradicted everything he had read in Western outlets.

“According to Western media, the Russians are attacking the plant. But when I visited, I saw the Russian security forces positioned to keep the plant safe,” Jha said, noting that he saw a fragment of a US-supplied missile near the plant. “It was a 180-degree shift. The reality is very different from the story the Western media tells.”

Slovenian journalist and blogger Mohar Borut Iztok criticized the IAEA’s stance, noting the presence of NATO-supplied 155-millimeter shellswith clear markings among those that have recently struck the facility.

“I’d like to say to Mr. [Rafael] Grossi and his crew –if they need an extra set of eyes, we can help them because it’s very interesting how they cannot see what is going on,”he stated sarcastically.

“I know what the problem is. They have an agenda, a narrative to follow, so they try to stay neutral,” he added.

Concert hall terrorist attack masterminded by ‘unfriendly country’ – Moscow

The aim of the assault on Crocus City Hall was to destabilize Russia, the Investigative Committee has said

The deadly terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert venue near Moscow was masterminded by the intelligence services of an “unfriendly country,” Russia’s Investigative Committee has claimed on the anniversary of the massacre.

Four gunmen stormed the Crocus City Hall ahead of a rock concert on March 22, 2024, shooting everyone in sight before setting the building on fire. A terrorist organization known as Islamic State-Khorasan (ISIS-K) claimed responsibility for the assault, which took 145 lives and left over 550 injured.

The suspected perpetrators – all citizens of the Central Asian country of Tajikistan – were detained shortly after the attackwhile fleeing in a car towards the Ukrainian border. More than a dozen of their accomplices have been arrested since then.

“Based on the evidence that has been collected, the investigation concluded that the terrorist act [at the Crocus City Hall]was planned and organized by the special services of an ‘unfriendly country’ in order to destabilize the situation in Russia,” the Investigative Committee’s spokeswoman, Svetlana Petrenko, said in a statement on Saturday.

“In order to carry it out, members of an international terrorist organization had been recruited,” she added.

Petrenko refrained from naming the exact country that the agency believes was responsible for the attack.

Russia compiled a list of ‘unfriendly countries’ in 2021 and vastly expanded it after the escalation with Ukraine the following year when the West threw its support behind Kiev. There are currently 49 nations on the list, including the US, UK, Canada, all EU members, Japan, and South Korea.

The terrorist attack was directly organized by six citizens of Central Asian countries, who are currently “abroad, and have been arrested in absentia and placed on the wanted list,”Petrenko said.

Those individuals recruited the four gunmen who later stormed the venue. The latter had received training in a foreign country, she explained.

A few days after the attack, the director of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) Aleksandr Bortnikov was asked if the US, UK or Ukraine could have been behind it. “We believe that this is the case,” he replied.

Bortnikov later spoke several times about Kiev’s involvement in the assault on Crocus City Hall andwarned that “the Ukrainian and Western intelligence services are expanding the circle of possible perpetrators, recruited to commit high-profile crimes inside Russia.”

Ukraine will hold elections – Trump envoy

Both the US and Russia have questioned the legitimacy of Vladimir Zelensky, whose presidential term expired last

Ukraine will hold a presidential election, US President Donald Trump’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, has told American journalist Tucker Carlson.

Vladimir Zelensky’s five-year presidential term expired in May 2024, after which he refused to hold new elections, citing martial law. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said he no longer considers Zelensky a legitimate ruler and argued that his current status could be an obstacle to signing a definitive peace deal.

In February, Trump labeled Zelensky “a dictator without elections,” and claimed that he is deeply unpopular at home.

In an interview published on Friday evening, Carlson asked Witkoff, one of Trump’s main mediators between Kiev and Moscow, if he thinks Ukraine will hold an election.

“Yes. They’ve agreed to it. There will be elections in Ukraine,” the envoy replied. He added that Zelensky is “in a very difficult position,” given that Russia has a much larger population and nuclear weapons.

“He’s got to know that he’s going to get ground down. Now is the best time for him to get a deal done. President Trump can deliver him the best possible deal,” Witkoff said. He stressedthat any aid will become “unsustainable” unless there is a clear plan on how to resolve the conflict. “We just can’t forever give money.”

Politico reported earlier this month that members of the Trump team were in communication with Zelensky’s political rivals, former President Pyotr Poroshenko and former Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko. Both politicians confirmed talks with the Trump administration but spoke against holding an election until the conflict with Russia is resolved.

Ukraine had plans to blow up nuclear plants – ex-Zelensky aide

The US sees the country’s leadership as “apes with a grenade,” and wants to take over the facilities to offset the risks, Aleksey Arestovich has claimed

Ukraine’s militaryintelligence chief Kirill Budanov proposed blowing up nuclear power plantsto deny them to Russia if Kiev started losing in the conflict, Aleksey Arestovich, a former aide to Vladimir Zelensky, has claimed.

In an interview with journalist Alexandr Shelest on Friday, Arestovich weighed in on remarks by US President Donald Trump, who suggested that American ownership of Ukrainian nuclear power plants “could be the best protection for that infrastructure.”

According to Arestovich, the US is trying to prevent a nuclear catastropherather than simply seizing the facilities for its own benefit.

“They know about our plans to blow up all the nuclear power plants if Ukraine starts losing,”Arestovich claim. “Budanov was running around with that [idea] a year and a half ago. To blow up everything: the Russian plants we can reach, and our own — so nobody gets them… On the principle: we all bite the dust, but so will they.”

According to the ex-adviser, theUS perceives the current Ukrainian leadership “as apes with a grenade.” “They just want to take dangerous toys under their control.”

Arestovich went on to suggest that the Democrats in the US would have tried to do the same, but through backroom pressure, whereas the Trump administration is acting in a much more straightforward and blunt manner.

“These guys are simple. They say: ‘Let’s do it this way, we’ll just take control [over the plants] and that’s it.”

Trump said that he first floated the idea of taking over the nuclear plants during a phone call with Zelensky earlier this week, claiming that Washington could be “very helpful in running those plants with its electricity and utility expertise.”

Zelensky, however, offered a different version of events. He claimed that the two only spoke about the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) – not the Ukrainian power generating industry in its entirety, and that the conversation revolved around potential American investment.

ZNPP, the largest facility of its kind in Europe, has been under Russian control since March 2022. In the fall of 2022, Zaporozhye Region, along with three other regions, voted to join Russia in a public referendum.

Russia has repeatedly accused Ukraine of targeting both the ZNPP and Kursk nuclear power plants, denouncing those attacks as “nuclear terrorism.” Kiev, in turn, insists that the attacks on the ZNPP have been carried out by Russia, and has denied targeting the Kursk NPP.

(Why would Russia ever do it? These three regions are Russia now, so it would have harmed their citizens, if Russia blew it up. Especially since Putin and Russia already have the West blaming him and Russia for really events things that make no sense.)
