1st-ever orbital rocket launch from European soil targeted for March 24
March 23, 2025
The first orbital rocket to launch from continental Europe is nearing its debut.
Germany-based Isar Aerospace is targeting no earlier than Monday, March 24, for the maiden voyage of its brand new Spectrum rocket.
The Spectrum will liftoff from the Andøya Spaceport, in Norway, during a three-hour launch window Monday, between 7:30 a.m. EST (1130 GMT) and 10:30 a.m. EDT (1430 GMT).
As Spectrum's first test flight, Isar has opted not to fly any customer payloads onboard the rocket, and instead is focusing on collecting as much data from the flight as possible, according to the company's website.
This will also be the first launch from Europe's Andøya Spaceport, which opened in 2023, and whose initial ground infrastructure and facilities were built to specifically accommodate Isar and the Spectrum rocket.
Spectrum stands 95 feet (28 meters) tall, a modest middle-ground between Rocket Lab's Electron rocket and SpaceX's Falcon 9, which measure 56 feet (17 meters) and 230 feet (70 meters), respectively.
Once in operation, Isar is billing Spectrum as a small to medium-lift launch vehicle, capable of delivering up to 2,200 pounds (1,000 kilograms) to low-Earth orbit.
Over the course of the past seven years, two-stage Spectrum has been designed and developed by Isar completely in-house.
The launch vehicle includes 9 turbopump liquid oxygen/propane-fueled engines powering its main booster, and a singular Aquila multi-ignition engine for orbital insertions and maneuvers once in space.
Even before Spectrum's first test launch, Isar has already secured a launch contract to fly the new rocket's first commercial missions.
The company announced a deal with the Norwegian Space Agency on March 12 for Isar to launch the Arctic Ocean Surveillance (AOS) program satellites by 2028.
"The launch of the AOS satellites from Andøya Spaceport will be a true milestone for Norwegian space activities.
We look forward to a robust partnership with Isar Aerospace and seeing 'Spectrum' in action," said Norwegian Space Agency Director General Christian Hauglie-Hanssen in an Isar press release.
"Subject to weather, safety and range infrastructure, the first launch window for Spectrum's first test flight opens NET 24 Mar," Isar posted on social media Friday, March 21.
Few rockets have reached orbit on their first flights, and Isar appears to be approaching Spectrum's first test flight with realistic expectations.
The company outlines a list of six mission milestones from liftoff to orbit, but has stated its only goal for the launch is to collect as much as possible.

Kremlin Says ‘Difficult Negotiations’ Ahead on Ukraine
March 23, 2025
The Kremlin on Sunday downplayed expectations for a rapid resolution to the war in Ukraine, saying talks were just beginning and that “difficult negotiations” were ahead.
Delegations from Russia and Ukraine are set to hold separate talks with U.S. officials in Saudi Arabia over the next 48 hours as President Donald Trump pushes for a rapid end to more than three years of intense fighting.
“We are only at the beginning of this path,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Russian state TV.
He said there were many outstanding “questions” and “nuances” on how a potential ceasefire might be implemented.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has rejected a joint U.S.-Ukrainian call for a full and immediate 30-day pause, proposing instead to halt attacks only on energy facilities.
“There are difficult negotiations ahead,” Peskov said in the interview, published on social media.
He also said Russia's main focus in its talks with the United States would be discussing a possible resumption of a 2022 Black Sea grain deal that ensured safe navigation for Ukrainian agricultural exports in the Black Sea.
“On Monday we mainly intend to discuss President Putin's agreement to resume the so-called Black Sea initiative, and our negotiators will be ready to discuss the nuances around this problem,” Peskov said.
Moscow pulled out of the deal — brokered by Turkey and the United Nations — in 2023, accusing the West of failing to uphold its commitments to ease sanctions on Russia's own exports of agricultural products and fertilizers.

Moscow issues warning to Kiev
22 Mar, 2025 17:15
Russia could respond if Ukraine continues its attacks on Russian energy infrastructure, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has warned
Moscow reserves the right to retaliate in kind if Ukraine continues to strike Russian energy infrastructure in violation of the recently agreed partial ceasefire, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has warned.
On Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin held phone talks with his US counterpart, Donald Trump, and agreed to a US-mediated partial ceasefire.
As part of it, Moscow said it would halt strikes on Ukrainian energy sites if Kiev does the same. Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky also agreed to the terms.
Despite this, Kiev struck an oil depot in Russia’s Krasnodar Region the day after the agreement and blew up a gas metering station in Sudzha on Friday.
The Ukrainian army also deliberately targeted “residential buildings and social institutions,” Zakharova said in a press statement on Saturday
“Kiev is once again demonstrating its complete inability to negotiate, as well as its lack of desire to achieve peace,” the spokeswoman said.
“As in 2022, they have once again turned to provocations aimed at disrupting the negotiation process.” Moscow is free to retaliate if this continues, she warned.
Kiev struck an oil facility operated by the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) in southern Russia overnight on Tuesday, immediately after the US-brokered ceasefire was agreed on, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Wednesday.
The CPC’s international shareholders include US giants Chevron and Exxon Mobil.
Early Friday, Ukrainian forces destroyed a gas metering station in Sudzha as they were retreating from Russia’s Kursk Region.
Moscow has condemned both attacks as violations of Ukraine’s ceasefire responsibilities, and accused Kiev of attempting to derail US peace efforts.
According to the Kremlin, Putin brought up Kiev’s history of sabotaging peace processes in his phone call with Trump on Tuesday.
The Russian leader stressed that Ukraine has “repeatedly sabotaged and violated the agreements reached,” the Kremlin press service said earlier this week.

Ripple Co-Founder to Fund Commercial Space Station with XRP Sales
Updated 23 March 2025, 12:25 GMT+0000
Jed McCaleb, a popular figure in the crypto space and founder of projects like Mt. Gox, Ripple, and Stellar, is now venturing far beyond digital assets.
His latest focus is a space exploration startup called Vast Space. The company aims to launch Haven-1, the world’s first commercial space station, by 2026.
Former Ripple Exec Invests XRP Gains in Off-Earth Mission
Vast CEO Max Haot clarified that this isn’t a luxury concept for tourists. Instead, the focus is on productivity, crew cohesion, and mission success.
He added that the station is designed to support sovereign astronauts and privately funded individuals in achieving meaningful goals in orbit.
“We are not building a luxury hotel in space, we are applying design to enhance crew cohesion, productivity, safety, communication to help sovereign astronauts and self-funded private individuals achieve their important orbital mission objectives,” Haot said.
Launched in 2021, Vast Space is working to create a station equipped with artificial gravity and next-generation infrastructure.
The team plans to use components developed by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, including docking systems for the Dragon capsule. It also intends to integrate an internet connection powered by Starlink.
If successful, Vast could play a critical role in replacing the aging International Space Station and potentially win a contract with NASA.
McCaleb is expected to invest substantially in the project, with a large portion of that funding coming from the wealth he gained by selling XRP tokens.
Despite the potential risks, McCaleb appears fully committed. He acknowledged the possibility of losing up to $1 billion if the project fails but believes the opportunity is worth the gamble.
“It’s super important that people take this leap from where we are today to this potential world where there’s a lot of people living off the Earth.
There’s not that many folks that are willing to dedicate the amount of resources and time and risk tolerance that I am,” McCaleb reportedly said.
XRP Community Backlash Resurfaces Against McCaleb
McCaleb left Ripple in 2013 following internal disagreements and later launched Stellar.
He originally held about 9% of the total XRP supply and sold off his stake between 2014 and 2022, earning roughly $3.3 billion. His actions triggered backlash within the XRP community, with some accusing him of damaging Ripple’s value.
However, McCaleb denied those claims, stating he had publicly disclosed his departure before selling his holdings. He also pointed out that he had XRP holders the option to convert their tokens to Stellar Lumens.
“I didn’t do that at all. I told the ripple community I was leaving ripple and no longer believed in the project. I did that before I sold my XRP.
The intent was to let people front run me. The alternative was to sell without telling people. Is that better?,” McCaleb explained on X.
Despite the bad blood between McCaleb and the XRP community, Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen voiced support for the space project.
He described it as a step forward and that it marks America’s return to bold innovation. “America used to pursue new frontiers like this before skidding into bureaucracy and doubt. I’m rooting for Vast’s success,” Larsen stated.
Overall, it’s an intriguing development. The development of Vast Space would reflect how crypto investments can significantly drive real-world development across diverse fields.

Drone pilot shares new details about the search for missing New Hampshire woman
Updated: 10:56 PM EDT Mar 22, 2025
MANCHESTER, N.H. — A drone pilot from New Hampshire shared new information about the search that identified human remains in connection to the disappearance of Amanda Grazewski.
Jenness Keller with Sky Dog Aerial Thermal Imaging in Hudson said he volunteered to search for Grazewski when family friends came to him with possible new information about her disappearance in March of 2020.
Keller said on Thursday, he used advanced drone technology to survey about 75 acres of water and marsh area near the Hoodkroft Country Club golf course in Derry, which later led to the discovery of skeletal remains.
"You go into it hoping that you'll find something, but have zero expectations and hope that you're surprised," Keller said "So, the last point of interest was the most interesting one.
That was four feet long, and I could barely make out two legs and an arm and a torso."
Keller said this case was unlike his typical search missions.
"It's primarily for searching for pets [like] dogs and cats and horses and stuff like that. It's not too often that you are called in or asked to look for remains," Keller said.
The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office said it could take months to confirm if the findings are Grazewski's remains.
Keller said he hopes his work will help bring the Grazewski family some closure.

Declassified: The JFK Assassination
Updated: Mar 23, 2025 / 05:03 AM CDT
The remaining classified files on the assassination of former President John F. Kennedy were released Tuesday evening on the National Archives website.
It, however, remains unclear which documents are new and which ones have been released unredacted.
The long-awaited release has so far yielded little new information. Despite hopes that the files might contain groundbreaking details, early reviews suggest much of the material has been previously available in some form.
President Donald Trump said Friday that individuals will be able to make their own “determination” as to who killed JFK.
“I don’t think there’s anything that’s earth-shattering,” said Trump. “But you’ll have to make that determination.” So far, there hasn’t been any “smoking gun” that would validate decades-old conspiracies about the assassination.
The latest release of formerly classified files related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy are mostly, according to investigative journalist Ross Coulthart, a “nothingburger,” but he believes it’s likely there isn’t anything the government can do to dispel conspiracy theories related to the case.
“Frankly, I do think there are arguments that are worthy of investigation, that there should be a broader investigation into claims that there were multiple shooters and the unanswered questions surrounding the forensics in the Warren Commission that have only recently come to light,” said Coulthart.
The long-awaited file release has so far yielded little new information. Despite hopes that the files might contain groundbreaking details, early reviews suggest much of the material has been previously available in some form.
Coulthart believes it is unlikely that any revelation about the killing of a president would be found written in a government document, let alone allowed in the National Archives.
“It is a bit naive of us to expect to think that there might have been something in those files suggesting some kind of CIA conspiracy,” he said. “Why would they put it in writing?”
Coulthart, however, believes President Donald Trump’s decision to release the remaining files shows a degree of transparency not seen in previous administrations.
“That truly is an extraordinary achievement and a great moment in accountability and transparency,” he said. What Coulthart believes is most evident in the files? The CIA’s “failures.”
“The history of the CIA, sadly, is one of an intelligence agency that has, frankly, missed so much.”
Abraham Zapruder, the Dallas businessman who filmed the Nov. 22, 1963, assassination of President John F. Kennedy, was private and reluctant to talk about what he had experienced.
But he did speak to radio journalist Marvin Scott, who says it took a lot of cajoling and a charm offensive. The interview took place in 1966, three years after the president’s murder and four years before Zapruder’s own death.
Scott donated the original tape of the interview to The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, which commemorates the event that changed the world.
On tape, Zapruder described seeing Kennedy’s open car coming into view.
“Jacqueline and the president are waving,” Zapruder said, referring to Kennedy’s wife, first lady Jacqueline Kennedy.
“As he came in line with my camera, I heard a shot. I saw the president lean over to Jacqueline. Then the second shot came.
And then I realized I saw his head open up, and I started yelling, ‘They killed him. They killed him.’ And I continued shooting until he went under the underpass.”
Zapruder said he never forgot what he saw.
1/2
The photographer expressed doubt about theories of a second gunman hiding behind a fence. Zapruder said he would have heard shots coming from the location, which was about 30 feet behind him.
The 26 seconds of footage that comprise Zapruder’s record of the Kennedy assassination was tightly controlled for years. “Life” magazine initially purchased the film and published still images in black and white.
The shaky film is ubiquitous today, but it didn’t appear on national television until 1975 through the efforts of investigative journalist Geraldo Rivera. Rivera, a correspondent-at-large for NewsNation, at the time hosted an ABC show called “Good Night, America.”
He said he tracked down a copy of the footage, which he called “astounding,” and had to reassure his bosses that he would take legal responsibility for airing the copyrighted material.
“I ultimately had to sign a document with ABC, my network, wherein I accepted personal responsibility for the onetime-only airing of the Zapruder film,” Rivera said. “And we put it on, and it
JFK files: Who is David Lamar Christ?
The newly declassified documents from the John F. Kennedy assassination files have shed light on David Lamar Christ, an American intelligence operative imprisoned in Cuba during the 1960s whose case raised significant national security concerns.
According to the files, Christ was involved in “Operation Palladium,” a covert American program designed to spoof unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) in Soviet airspace.
The operation aimed to create false radar readings that would lead Soviet defense systems to dismiss actual threats as phantom readings in the event of a genuine American strike.
Former Australian intelligence official Geoff Cruickshank, who analyzed the recently released documents, confirmed that the declassified National Security Council notes reveal U.S. authorities were actively planning to break Christ out of Cuban captivity.
American officials were concerned that under torture or interrogation, Christ might reveal sensitive details about Operation Palladium to the Soviets. “They were trying to break him out,” Cruickshank told NewsNation.
The documents suggest a possible connection between Christ’s imprisonment and the Bay of Pigs invasion, with Cruickshank noting that “a lot of people have thought that maybe the Bay of Pigs was actually a cover for the jailbreak.”
Cuban authorities apparently anticipated such a rescue attempt.
According to Cruickshank, they had “lined the Isle of Pines prison with explosives” to prevent a jailbreak, prepared to “blow it up and kill Christ and everyone with him,” if necessary.
The newly declassified files also indicate that Kennedy had concerns about anomalous objects detected during American thermonuclear weapons tests in the Pacific.
Kennedy reportedly worried these phenomena might be misinterpreted by the Soviets as signs of an impending American attack.
Cruickshank said he believes now is the “perfect time” for the CIA to be fully transparent, otherwise it could be a “slow-moving trainwreck for them for months.”

Was that a UFO above this Florida town Saturday? Shape-shifting object has some wondering
Updated 10:11 a.m. ET March 23, 2025
A shape-shifting, slowly turning object hovered high above Green Cove Springs on Saturday afternoon, leaving many to speculate about it.
The morphing, black object was high above just west of U.S. 17 and south of County Road 315, slowly heading south. It made no noise and was at least a few hundred feet off the ground.
At times the shape was like a spacecraft while it also looked like a turtle shell, a ball inside with white outline that almost looked like a mouth and teeth.
So what was the object above Green Cove Springs?
Naval Air Station Jacksonville (NAS Jax) announced recently that it would be conducting training exercises beginning Saturday, March 22.
The facility is about 15 miles north of where the object was floating above the Winn-Dixie in Green Cove Springs, a few blocks west of the St. Johns River.
NAS Jax advised nearby residents that there would be an "increase in aircraft activity and noise." However, the object hovering above Green Cove made no noise that could be heard from the ground.

New map of UFO hotspots reveals best US states for 'alien spotting'
Updated: 08:55 EDT, 22 March 2025
The truth is out there, and the numbers show exactly where. New data from the National UFO Reporting Center has revealed exactly where you're most likely to see a UFO in the sky.
The analysis examined 149,000 sighting entries from the Reporting Center's database, along with social media reports to determine how many encounters are experienced per capita in each state.
Coming in first, Californians have recorded a staggering 36,286 reported UFO sightings since 1974.
This makes it officially America's alien hotspot with one sighting for every 1,075 residents.
California's clear night skies and dense population have created perfect conditions for UFO sightings.
In fact, just last month, the harrowing call a US Air Force pilot made to air traffic control was released after they described 'three orange-like lights' hovering silently above Los Angeles.
The unknown craft came as close as 10 feet of the pilot's wing, reaching supersonic speeds, as the US Air Force craft was conducting a secret mission over California.
The pilot, who identified as 'Troy 21,' told local air traffic control (ATC) in Los Angeles: 'This is going to sound weird, but I just had something pass underneath my wing, maybe a football-sized object right underneath my wing.'
During the September 17, 2024, incident, ATC can be heard asking Troy 21 if he thought it was a drone, but the stunned pilot couldn't give an answer.
Troy 21 replied that his sensor operator was looking for the UFO on the plane's cameras, adding that it was a 'dark gray cylindrical object' no bigger than a football.
The pilot quickly informed ATC that they had spotted the UFO again about 60 miles from where it first buzzed Troy 21's plane.
Later in the recording, another air traffic controller in Los Angeles could be heard on the radio dismissing the incident, saying that 'there was UFO reported here, but that's all taken care of now. So you don't have to worry about it… it's gone.'
Former FBI agent Ben Hansen told NewsNation the mysterious object must have be traveling at Mach 2, or twice the speed of sound, to get so far away so fast.
The state to come in second in terms of the appearance Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs) was Washington.
The Pacific Northwest has long attracted those seeking the unexplained, with Washington recording 7,125 UFO sightings. That's approximately one for every 1,093 residents.
From 1948 to 1952, as America's production of atomic weapons first ramped up, waves of UFO sightings began cropping up over Washington state's Hanford nuclear production complex, as well as Los Alamos, New Mexico, and other sites for the Manhattan Project.
Meanwhile, Florida was ranked third with more than 11,000 reported encounters. That's roughly one sighting for every 1,144 Floridians.
As recently as this past December, a flight attendant flying off the coast of the Sunshine State managed to capture a mysterious spherical object flying above the plane she was working on, thousands of feet above the Bahamas.
Cassandra Martin, a flight attendant for private air service Surjet, was flying with two pilots in an empty jet on December 23 when Miami air traffic control alerted them to a 'foreign object' as they were flying back to Fort Lauderdale.
The eerie footage showed a rounded blur of white light that faded into a green color, with a circular halo surrounding the object.
1/2
Coming in fourth is Oregon, which had one UFO sighting per 1,156 residents.
Similar to the recent incident in California, a handful of pilots reported spotting mysterious lights darting through the skies over Oregon in December.
One of the reports came from an air ambulance pilot, who described seeing a bright light streaking toward his aircraft before abruptly reversing course and heading back toward the Pacific Ocean on the evening of December 7.
'Red in color - moving at extreme speeds. I don't even know how to describe how fast it was moving,' the pilot told air-traffic controllers.
On the next night, a United Airlines pilot also noted unusual lights in the Eugene area.
'We're seeing three or four targets. They're all altitudes. Up and down. It's pretty crazy,' the pilot reported to air-traffic controllers, who confirmed there was no military activity in the area.
The air ambulance pilot additionally noted one light moving in a 'corkscrew pattern,' which appeared on the aircraft's collision avoidance system.
'You are cleared to maneuver as necessary - left or right to avoid the UFO out there,' an air-traffic controller responded, according to an audio clip of the exchange
Short video clips taken by pilots and crew showed lights in the night sky, but the dark conditions made it difficult to discern specific details.
Meanwhile, New York rounds out the top five with one sighting per 1,301 people.
In November, a mysterious orb-like object was spotted over New York City's Hudson River in a news broadcast, sparking wild conspiracies. An apparent bright object was seen zooming into the shot of the city's famous skyline.
The video, shot by a helicopter, captured a fast-moving ball of light starting from Hoboken, New Jersey and swooping around toward the World Trade Center where it vanished.
Experts have suggested the 'orb' was either an optical artifact from the helicopter glass in front of the camera or an out-of-focus bird.
But the sighting has led some New Yorkers to question if 'aliens are among us' - as it came less than a week after a Pentagon report that highlighted a a near-miss between a commercial airliner and a mysterious object off the coast of the city.
Harvard physicist, Avi Loeb, wrote that the mysterious orb was created by 'a bright spot from reflection of sunlight as the camera gradually changed its orientation relative to the sun and the ground.
Loeb continued to explain that if the orb was a real object, it would have been moving at the speed of sound, not anything extraordinary.
Those hoping to avoid extraterrestrial encounters should consider staying in Louisiana, where residents experience the fewest UFO encounters nationwide - just one sighting for every 3,815 people.
Even safer is North Dakota, which recorded only 282 total sightings - approximately 0.0004 per capita - making it statistically the state where you are least likely to have an encounter of the third kind.

Pro Athletes Reveal Their UFO Encounters
March 22, 2025
The intersection of professional sports and unidentified aerial phenomena has created an unusual pattern of credible witnesses as pro athletes reveal their UFO encounters with increasing frequency.
Athletes—individuals with heightened visual acuity, spatial awareness, and public platforms—have increasingly shared encounters with unexplained objects in the sky.
These testimonies span decades and sports, from basketball courts to soccer fields, creating a compelling subset of UFO accounts that merit examination.
The recent willingness of high-profile sports figures to discuss these experiences has normalized conversations about aerial anomalies and potentially encouraged others to share similar encounters.
Shaquille O’Neal’s Two-Decade Secret
NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal kept his UFO sighting confidential for over twenty years before finally revealing it on Jimmy Kimmel Live in January 2021.
The incident occurred in 1997 while O’Neal was returning from Hollywood on a double date in Madera, California. He described witnessing what he called a “classic flying saucer with spinning lights.”
O’Neal emphasized that everyone in the car saw the object, stating definitively, “I know it was a UFO. I don’t care what anyone says.”
Baron Davis: Athlete UFO Encounter
Former NBA All-Star Baron Davis shared a more intense experience during a 2013 interview on the Champs podcast, later reported by major media outlets including the New York Post and CBS Sports.
Davis described driving from Las Vegas to Los Angeles when he encountered what he called a “steel thing” descending from the sky near Montebello, California, around 4:00 AM.
His detailed account included interaction with beings he described as “half human”.
Team Sighting: The Las Vegas Raiders
In late 2023, Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby and offensive lineman Andre James revealed that their entire team witnessed an unexplained aerial phenomenon.
During an episode of the “Bussin’ with the Boys” podcast, they described seeing mysterious lights performing impossible maneuvers during their team flight from Miami.
The incident reportedly lasted approximately twenty minutes and left the team collectively shocked.
NFL Quarterbacks: Baker Mayfield and Aaron Rodgers
Baker Mayfield reported a March 2021 sighting near Austin, Texas, where he, along with his wife, observed a bright circular object descend to the road before vanishing.
He later shared this experience on the “Pardon My Take” podcast. Aaron Rodgers waited nearly two decades before revealing his 2005 UFO encounter during the 2023 season finale of HBO’s “Hard Knocks.”
Rodgers told former college teammate Steve Levy about witnessing a “tremendously large object” moving through the sky while staying at Levy’s New Jersey home during the NFL draft.
The quarterback compared the sight to a scene from “Independence Day.” The credibility of his account was bolstered by his observation that fighter jets appeared shortly after, seemingly pursuing the object.
Rodgers also noted the proximity of a nuclear power plant, referencing the documented correlation between UFO sightings and nuclear facilities.
1/2
Muhammad Ali: The Recurring Witness
Boxing icon Muhammad Ali reported an extraordinary sixteen different UFO sightings throughout his lifetime. His most notable experience occurred while driving on the New Jersey Turnpike in the early 1970s.
During a 1973 appearance on “The Tonight Show,” Ali described seeing a cigar-shaped craft hovering above his car.
These sightings became so frequent during his pre-dawn training runs in Central Park that his trainer, Angelo Dundee, reportedly joked about scheduling sessions around “UFO watching.”
The 1954 Florence Soccer Match Incident
Perhaps the most extensively documented sports-related UFO incident occurred on October 27, 1954, during a soccer match at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence, Italy.
The game completely halted when over 10,000 spectators and players, including Italian national team player Ardico Magnini, observed multiple unidentified objects hovering above the stadium.
Magnini, who played in the 1954 World Cup, described seeing “something that looked like a huge egg moving slowly across the sky,” while fan Gigi Boni recalled objects “shaped like Cuban cigars.”
This case stands out not only for the mass sighting but also for physical evidence — a silvery substance dubbed “angel hair” fell from the sky, covering the stadium and surrounding foothills.
Professor Giovanni Canneri from the University of Florence analyzed samples and found they contained boron, silicon, calcium, and magnesium — a composition unlike the common explanation of spider silk.
Notably, similar “angel hair” substances have been reported in other UFO sightings worldwide, with the distinctive characteristic of dissolving after a short period.
Multiple additional UFO sightings were reported across Tuscany that same day, with witnesses describing rays of white light emanating from Prato, north of Florence.
The Timing of Revelations
A notable pattern emerges in these accounts: many athletes have only recently revealed encounters that occurred years or even decades earlier.
Shaquille O’Neal waited 24 years, Aaron Rodgers 18 years. This delay suggests a significant shift in cultural acceptance around discussing such phenomena.
The years 2021–2023 appear to mark a turning point when many high-profile individuals felt comfortable sharing experiences they had previously kept private.
This timing correlates with increased government acknowledgment of unexplained aerial phenomena and mainstream media coverage of the topic.
Athletic testimonies carry particular weight in UFO discussions for several reasons.
Professional athletes possess exceptional visual acuity, spatial awareness, and split-second reaction times — skills that make them especially reliable witnesses of moving objects.
Their careers depend on accurately tracking and anticipating motion, giving their observations added credibility.
Additionally, professional athletes risk reputation damage by discussing such controversial subjects, suggesting genuine conviction in their accounts.
Their public platform also amplifies these stories, potentially normalizing discussions about aerial anomalies and encouraging others with similar experiences to come forward.

Proof that Elon is an alien': Watch viral video of Elon Musk balancing forks at Trump's $1 million dinner
Updated: 22 March, 2025 02:20 PM -7 GMT
Billionaire Elon Musk was captured on video performing an unusual balancing act with cutlery during a dinner with President Donald Trump.
The footage shows Musk seriously concentrating whilst balancing a fork and two spoons on his little finger, as Trump and Musk's companion, Shivon Zilis, observe the display.
The exclusive 'candlelight' dinner occurred at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, on March 15. According to reports, attendees were required to contribute $1 million per seat.
The gathering was notably absent from the President's official schedule, as documented by Wired. The dinner coincided with Palm Event, a motorsport competition in Palm Beach.
The dinner invitation, bearing a 'MAGA INC' header, clarified that President Trump was "appearing at this event only as a special guest speaker and is not asking for funds or donations."
The contributions were directed towards the Make America Great Again PAC, supporting Trump's 2024 presidential campaign.
The invitation, reviewed by Wired, stated simply: "You are invited to a candlelight dinner featuring special guest President Donald J. Trump."
It continued with: "Additional details provided upon RSVP. RSVPs will be accommodated on a first come, first serve basis. Space is very limited. $1,000,000 per person."

Alien or not? : Mysterious 'skeleton-like' creature washes ashore in UK
23 Mar 2025 14:27 IST
It's no longer strange when bizarre objects wash ashore. However, beachgoers are still curious to know more. In one such episode, a couple from the UK shared their encounter with a “skeleton-like” figure.
The creature had fins and looked like a mermaid, but as people began crowding, an air of curiosity engulfed the mysterious creature; thereafter, photographs went viral, adding more to the waggon.
Paula and her husband, Dave Regan, were strolling around the bay area in Margate, Kent, when an unusual creature caught their attention and left them puzzled.
Speaking to news outlet Daily Star, Paula said, "The head looked skeletal, but the back part – where the fishtail was - was soft and squidgy. It didn't feel slimy or decomposed, but it was definitely strange."
"Some thought it might have fallen off a boat, while others suggested it could be a figurehead from a ship – like one of those carved mermaids.
I just knew no one would believe us if we didn't take a picture," she added.
Theories of UFO landings aren't unheard of, and people continue to be inquisitive to date; the curiosity around mysterious beings and aliens is never dying down.
The human race's fascination with life beyond the planet is unmatched, and these sightings and viral photos are testimony to that fact.
Sharing the episode on X, a user wrote, "Call it a UFO: an unidentified floating object."
Further elaborating on such beach sightings, she added, "Last spring, beachcombers were aghast after a bloodsucking sea beast the size of a child washed ashore in the UK, sparking comparisons to the supersized sandworms from “Dune.”

Dr Steven Greer: I Gave Trump a Plan to Release Secret Alien Data, We'll See What He Does
Mar 23, 2025 12:00 PM
Dr. Steven Greer revealed that he has handed President Donald Trump a plan to release classified information on alien encounters.
Dr. Greer emphasized the significance of the thousands of UFO sightings reported by commercial airline pilots, many of which never reach governmental channels.
He shared insights with Tony Ferreira, who echoed the reluctance of pilots to report such sightings due to potential repercussions, including being deemed unstable or unsuitable for flying.
Dr. Greer highlighted a historic UFO encounter involving a Japan Airlines flight in the 1980s, which faced dismissal until NASA's intervention.
He possesses crucial data on this incident, underscoring the necessity of examining this evidence. Dr. Greer mentioned the urgency for special forces to delve into these matters under executive orders.
Now, the onus lies on President Trump and Congress to act on these disclosures, potentially unlocking new facets of our understanding of extraterrestrial phenomena.
